This place took a long time to get the food. The lady at the front had an attitude when I asked her for 1 plate for my daughter so we could share the food. The food didn't have much taste. The fact that she did not want to give a plate was crazy. They also counter the forks per plate which is wild to understand. I won't be coming back and don't recommend it. read more

I have been doing takeout from this restaurant for 15 or more years. I just placed an order and went to pick up. The woman at the counter handed me a bag,(the only bag on the counter) took my credit card and asked me about what sauces I wanted. I got home and started unpacking the bag. She called me and said I "took" the wrong order. I repacked the bag and drove back to the restaurant. She took back the wrong order and gave me my order. She than proceeded to take out a calculator to determine how much additional I owed her. She calculated it to the penny $7.31. There was no apology for the inconvenience. Any other restaurant would not have charged the difference, but the worst part was she accused me of taking the wrong order and no apology provided. Over the years I have recommended them to at least 45 people. Needless to say they have lost my business. read more

Some of the "cleanest" tasting fast food Chinese food I have ever order for takeout. During this Covid epidemic, I ordered spareribs, two special combinations for takeout and picked it up at a window that was walled with plastic. The worker meets you at the window and there is very limited contact which is appreciated. The food itself was ok - it wasn't super salty, or super sweet which surprisingly is a negative for me when ordering out for Chinese food. The best thing I ordered from this place were the bone-in spare ribs as they were well charred and full of flavor. The general tsos chicken and I think other chicken dishes are made with white meat which was a little bland, tough, and dry. I definitely don't care for white meat in general but if you are looking for a bit of a healthier option, this might be up your alley. Beef was also kind of lean and the sauce felt like it lacked some sugar, but overall for the price it was decent. Probably won't order again from here unless it's a lunch special. read more

I have yet to have anything I didn't enjoy from King Wok II. The lo mein is outstanding. The shrimp with lobster sauce is great. My wife gets the chicken and broccoli cooked in garlic sauce all the time because it's so good. Sometimes you have to wait a little bit because they're always busy (because the food is good). Ordered and asked to use the bathroom. The kitchen was indescribable. Chicken spilling off the cutting board onto a stainless steel table and into a bus bucket sitting on a garbage can. There was a bloody bandaid on the stainless steel table. I almost puked. Used the dirty bathroom and left without eating. Just moved to Hawthorne and wanted to try a new chinese place. I knew my family wanted combo dishes, so I wasn't going to Baumgarts or something similar. Hole in the wall chinese in my favorite. We ordered everything online using their website and it could not have been easier. I dont like calling up places so the online tool will keep me coming back. The food came 40 minutes later. It was New Years day at 5pm so I am sure they were busy. Everyone got their own dish and then we ordered 2 large pints of wonton and wonton eggdrop mix. The sesame chicken was a bit too doughey on the outside for my liking, but for $7 a combo platter, you cant go wrong. They also have double combo platters, genius idea. I got sesame chicken and boneless spare ribs for $11. It was A LOT more food and worth the extra $4. They even threw in some soda and eggrolls for free. If I could I would rate this 3.5. read more

OK, so my review may be a little biased but I've loved this place for my 20+ years of life so I'm a die-hard fan. As far as take-out chinese goes, they're definitely one of the best in the area, especially for the reasonable prices they charge! Steamed Dumplings are awesome, as is the beef and broccoli (classics done right!). Run by nice people, they're always happy to take special requests and they treat their customers right, which is not the case with many of the other local places. Also, they're delivery is one of the fastest in the area (trust me, I've waited up to and over an hour for other local Chinese food deliveries), normally it's LESS THAN 30 MINUTES from the phone call to your door! Stopped by here for a quick bite to eat since I was in the area for new glasses (review of MoreEye II to follow). Ordered one set of fried pork dumplings, which were decent, but nothing to write home about. The store front is a tad ghetto (for such a nice area) because even though it has a proper restaurant door propped open, there's a closed screen door you have to go through. An old, beat up, wooden, unpainted, half falling off the hinges, might get tetanus from touching it, screen door. After gingerly pushing it open with the finger you are most willing to lose, you enter into an area that is clearly meant to be a takeout restaurant with a surprisingly large waiting area and already waiting customers on your left. Then you realize that what you took to be a really large area was really just half the size due to the mirror on the wall, and the waiting customer(s) was actually yourself (and anyone else walking in with you). At this point, DON'T, for the love of god, look around furtively or ask your companion if they made this same assumption. It will only lead to laughter directed at you and an invisible cone of shame. There was only one table with 4 chairs so if you're looking to eat in, hurry and claim the table (which can be done by casually draping your coat on the chairs, or crouching on the table and hissing at all others who come near). The dumplings came out quickly, was piping hot, fresh, and they didn't skimp with either the dumpling sauce or hot sauce (when asked). It was pretty cheap too. Not sure if I'd come here again just for the food, but it wouldn't be too bad of a place to stop by to ease some hunger pains if I'm already in the area. read more

My boyfriend and I wanted to enjoy some Chinese food... so we got some broccoli chicken and sesame chicken delivered from King 2 Wok on Maple in Glen Rock. Over an hour later.. it finally got delivered.. an hour. So now we're starving now, we immediately eat our food not thinking anything would be.. in there! Then all of a sudden my boyfriend looks up at me and shows me his container with a Silk Worm in his food!!! I can't tell if it's a silk worm or a maggot but still I am completely disgusted!! I'm surprised this place is as popular as it is because honestly it doesn't even look good on the outside but I don't judge a book by its cover so... now I know to never eat there and I'm basically traumatized.. idk I know I sound like I'm over reacting but how would you feel if you found this in your food. Been going to this spot for 10 years. I'll admit that it's not the prettiest restaurant in Bergen County but it is very tasty, reliable and the owner has become something of a friend. I will never be coming back to this place. It does not even deserve one star. I came here today to order fried chicken wings. (They come in 4) I realized when I was about to eat, one wing had the feathers on the wing, I said okay I'll just remove them, still nasty but no big deal. Then I realize another 3 wings had feathers on it. FIRST Chinese spot I ever go too that doesn't realize what their selling to their customers. We ordered the chow mein, and the "noodles" they gave us were the crackers that they would give you for free. These supposed "noodles" did not go well at all with the vegetables and what not and tasted absolutely disgusting. I would never order chow mein from here. Ever. read more
