From the sandwiches to the salads to the specials they have daily to the rice pudding! Everything is great. The service is outstanding! Get the Will special salad. I like adding hot cherry peppers or long hots for a lil kick. Their Chicken Cutlet sandwich has to be in the conversation for top 5 in North Jersey. Get the vodka sauce as well. You may find a line outside the door between 11am-1pm mon-saturday but that's alright. It's worth the wait and worth the trip.

A few of my coworkers have been raving about this place, they're all first gen here in the US, so when they go nuts over Italian/Italian American spots, I take heed. I was lucky enough to be in the area today for work and stopped in, very small, super clean, everything on display looks delicious and the ppl were nice. I want to say what I got was called "The Giuseppe"? It was chicken cutlet, fresh mutz, roasted red peps and I added balsamic...this was THE BEST chicken cutlet I've ever had outside my friend's off the boat mother's kitchen, truly outstanding. As for the price...wow, talk about getting your money's worth, this thing was enormous and the price was more than fair (just over $13)

20…read more Thai Cookery -- Hidden Gem Worth the Stop Stopped into Thai Cookery in Hawthorne while we were in the area craving Thai food--and I'm glad we did. It's one of those spots you could easily drive right past if you weren't looking for it. Almost looks like a house from the outside, but inside it's a cozy, welcoming vibe. We went during lunch and took advantage of their $12.95 specials--great value. I had the basil fried rice with pork, which had a nice level of spice--flavorful and delicious without being overpowering. It came with a spring roll and a lemon tea, which was perfect--not overly sweet. My wife ordered the drunken noodles with chicken and shrimp--loaded with peppers and onions, super flavorful, and cooked just right. She paired it with a Thai iced tea, which was also on point. Food came out quickly, served hot, and the presentation was clean. Nice little touch with the cucumbers served alongside the fried rice. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to--next time for dinner. They reopen at 4:30, and I've got my eye on those Bangkok wings. Owner was mad cool too.

My daughter had the beef short rib ramen, and I had the Khao Soi Ramen with short rib. They give so much tender short rib. I didn't even care about the meat because the broth was one of the most delicious curries I've ever had. They checked on spice levels to make sure I'd enjoy (I have an insane love for heat) and gave us their homemade chilli oil and powder on the side. We also had a Thai iced tea, which was perfect because it was balanced rather than sickeningly sweet. Service was friendly and quick. We ate in the store, which has a few tables. They were doing a bustling takeout, but it wasn't noisy and it is nicely decorated and clean. Will be ordering again and again and again. I already ate some of my leftovers. Highly recommend.

My girlfriend and I visited Tasty Junction for an early dinner one Saturday. They weren't too busy…read moreso it was easy to find a table for 2. Once you sit down you scan a QR Code to order your food and drinks. I was pretty hungry that day so we ended up ordering a ton of food. The drinks were pretty good and they were served in Le Creuset mugs. Not the biggest deal, but I can appreciate some nice drinkware. The bowl of Kimchi Fried rice came out first. It was a generous portion and the rice was cooked well, but I feel like it could've used some more kimchi. The eggs on top were cooked perfectly and added good texture to the dish. The next dish to come out was the HK French toast. The bread was nice and fluffy which paired well with a nice generous drizzle of condensed milk. I enjoyed this a lot. We also ordered scallion pancake, pork barbecue, and bossam baos. These were ok, I would probably pass on a return visit. I felt like the meat in the baos was a little tough though they did have decent flavor. The last entree was the smoked salmon and avocado croissant; I really enjoyed this. It had a generous helping of smoked salmon and avocado as well. The saltiness of the salmon paired well with the creamy and fatty avocado. The croissant was also nice and flaky. It was also served with a house salad which had a nice drizzle of dressing on it too. For dessert we ordered a Black Sesame Souffle Pancake. This was SO good. A few months ago I visited a place in Princeton that specialized in these Japanese-style pancakes and Tasty Junction's version was so much more enjoyable. I loved that it was served with a healthy scoop of ice cream. The pancake was airy and had a bounce to it. Each bite was so good and made even better with the ice cream. I'd definitely come back just for the pancakes. All in all Tasty Junction is a great spot tucked away in Glen Rock

Known for their empanadas. A few parking spots out front, not really meant for dine in anyway. Wasn't busy at all on the Monday afternoon I went, but I wouldn't be surprised if most of their orders were just Uber eats or catering runs. Price Point: Around $2.50-$3.50/empanada. Overall seemed very reasonable for the quality/quantity of the food. The rest of the items seemed well priced too although I only got empanadas. Pros: Service was quick, food was made fresh, and everything tasted delicious. It was a very simple lunch run for me and it was executed perfectly. Cons: Since they weren't very busy, they weren't sure if they had the gyro meat for my gyro empanada, but were able to find it and whip it up. Could've just been an off day and they were waiting on inventory, which isn't much of a con, but it's the only thing that had potential to ruin my quick lunch. Overall: Highly recommend trying this place out! Never knew it existed and I'm certainly going back for more empanadas and other food. Great local small business that I am happy to support in my hometown.

The inside literally looks like someone's eat in kitchen/dining room. We were the first customers that day, but it did fill up. We ordered the summer rolls, the pho tai, and the combo pho (#6) along with lemonade and Vietnamese iced coffee. The main thing about this place is that it's homey and CHEAP. The large bowl of combo pho is only $9.25. The summer rolls are only $5.99 for four. The portions are a little smaller than other pho places, but the food does taste good. My vegetarian pho was okay, not the best I've had. It had peas, corn, and green beans that looked like they were from a frozen mixed vegetable pack. I've had better vegetarian pho with more depth of flavor than this. Furthermore, the pho doesn't come with jalapeños or fresh thai basil on the side. Prices are unbeatable. Bring cash if you can. Service was standard for a small family-run restaurant. The inside of the restaurant was kept very very warm; it took away from the joy of hot pho on a winter day because we were sweating from the heating and fireplace.
