We stopped in on our way home from Southern Florida to NY. We forgot it was the World Series and that the Braves were playing. It was also a Friday night so it was very busy. Anthony was our server and was so attentive even though he had a lot of other tables. He made some great beer recommendations and found time to talk to us during his busy shift. Needless to say, it was the best service we've had all vacation. What a wonderful way to end our vacation with great beer, awesome service, and amazing food. I was thrilled when they opening a WOB in Pooler that serves FOOD! The food really surprised me, how good it was! I recommend going on happy hour about 4-7pm I think and ordering the tuns tacos and a gigantic pretzel with beer cheese! Also, I really like how they serve wine which all WOB's do not. It really is a one stop shop for all the happy hourers. The layout is nice and open which help with the sound! We sat down and ordered within 10 minutes. My friends out was out before the server told me that what I'd ordered (brussel sprouts) was out of stock. I then ordered the French onion soup. For people with dairy allergies and or gluten (celiac) allergies, this is NOT the place for you. Extremely limited menu options and what options there are, are sub-par. No dedicated fryer therefore they are NOT gluten free. Ordered a salad off the GF menu and they served it with croutons. There's nothing to eat if you order a burger, you can't have fries and there's no potato chips or anything else to fill your plate and belly. Service was slow and waitress knew nothing of allergies. Terrible service. We waited 20 minutes for a server to come see us. Finally we decided to leave, but on our way out we asked to see the manager. We waited a while and that person did not show up. The servers seemed to be distracted. We told the person who gave us menus we were leaving and why, she said goodbye, not let me help. That place just doesn't care about customer service. Awesome find! We went in thinking this was a store but turns out it's a restaurant. We stayed anyway and enjoyed some of their on-tap beer and apps. Appetizers were sweet, a friend recommended their tater tots, however I was a super fan of their Marguerita Flatbread with Balsalmic dressing & second place was their fish tacos. Favorite beer sampled Scottish Ale on the tap & Victory both were in the Malt Beer Selection. Scottish being my #1. Keeping my eyes on the HefeWeizen. Loved that I could sample, so I daringly tried the Indra & another curious looking malt. Fascinating flavors but not for me... I went for the first time on a Saturday night & they had a pretty sweet live band covering Radiohead, Stevie Nicks, & REM to name a few. Nice environment, great service, & food ON POINT. read more

Came for beerunch here. What you don't see on the empty plate is candied bacon and half of the waffles left after eating. Sooooo good. The syrup pictured here is maple bourbon. We come here on a regular basis but I was ready to come back for beerunch. Boy am I a happy camper. No beer till 12:30 but the syrup with bourbon held me over. Terrible experience. Came in 25 mins before brunch ended on a Sunday and found a seat. Took a waiter 10 mins to give us menus and then no one came back. Said server was sitting behind us doing cutlery not even asking if we want a drink. At around 10 mins to the end of brunch another waitress came to see if we had been served and we stated we wanted brunch and we were informed the kitchen was closed for brunch. Although I understand it was close to the end of brunch it was still within brunch hours and we had come in with enough time but were left sitting without service. It felt like we were left on purpose so they didn't have to serve us brunch. Disappointing visit. read more

All the beers you can think of. Relaxing but fun atmosphere. Plenty of tv's to watch what ever game is on. Only thing I didn't like was my drink was a watermelon margarita .. it was terrible. It was basically tequila with a splash of water melon. But other than that, prices are fair and location is great. read more

Our first trip to World of Beer and we were very happy. We had the chimichurri meatballs, beer battered shrimp street tacos and the cheeseburger. All were excellent. The Service Rally Point Pilsner was very good. A better version of Stella. Our new favorite in the Savannah/Pooler area. read more

Pretty good brewery food. I especially liked the sausage platter and the kale salad. The beer however, was very disappointing. I think there must have been something wrong with the tap because of the six different varieties we ordered all were flat, warm and bland. I decided to compare the same beer from the tap and the more expensive bottle option and the bottled option was significantly better. For my first time experience, World of Beer offered a poor representation of beers that I had never tried before and beers that I was already familiar with. I will say that the ambiance was very comfortable and we had a lot of fun at trivia night. read more

Among the most incredible beer selection I've ever seen. I'm serious. You've not seen anything like it. But with a name like "World of Beer" I would have been very disappointed had it been otherwise. So you could say it really lives up to it's name. Had a fried shrimp taco for appetizer that was quite tasty and followed it up with a reuben sandwich. My husband and I ate here last night. He loves their huge selection of beer! Theres so many varieties. We ordered the pretzel as an appetizer. It was so delicious! The beer chese is so good! I orded the margherita flat bread. It was really good. I thought it was a little weird that it was served on a cutting board but still good. My only complaint is that the service is really slow. This is our go-to bar for my husband and I. We love it! Not only is the beer selection amazing but so is the food. We've probably tried just about everything on the menu and have not been disappointed once. Even if you don't like beer... Go here for the food! I just had the cheeseburger with cheddar (you can choose from a few different types of cheese) and it is seriously one of the BEST burgers I've had in the Savannah/Pooler area. The bar itself is comfortable and large and the wait staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. GREAT BEER. Slow, inattentive service. Mediocre food. Took FOREVER to be greeted and asked about beer and food orders. Great beers, obviously. Service was consistently slow throughout the night for refills, meal tweaks, etc. Ordered steak frites which were ok but the mayo aioli was nasty. Took forever for anyone to ask how the food was so steak was almost cold by the time a different dipping sauce was brought out. Bottom line: I'll come back here, not because of the service (at all), but for the AMAZING beer selection. read more

This was the first place I had been to as I just arrived to Georgia earlier this week. Our bartenders name was Derek and he was nothing short of awesome! He was very knowledgeable about everything! He let me ask as many questions as I needed. I told him my preferences to the beers I drank and I told him I wanted to try some of the local brews, he set me up with a nice flight of taster beers and they were all great! We also has one of the flatbreads, and it was delicious. We ordered it and received it within 7-10 min! They were quick delicious and the environment was fun! We have already been back and I guarantee we will go plenty more times! I have visited the World of Beer location in Pooler, GA many times. I enjoy the atmosphere and drink options. My visit to this location on the night of July 24, 2018 was absolutely terrible. I have never been so angry or felt so undervalued as a customer in my entire life. The server, Arianna, was fine to begin with. We got our food promptly, and she was decently quick with our drink orders. Nothing to complain about. Our table of four had appetizers and drinks while we played trivia. We won second place, thus winning a $30 gift card. We asked Arianna if we could use the gift card to pay for our appetizers and we would pay the remaining balance with our drinks and our meals we intended to order. She said that would be fine. I have Celiac Disease, which means I have to stay away from gluten or it will make me ill. WOB boasts a Gluten Free menu, which I was pleased to see! I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and made sure to tell the waitress, "On a lettuce bun, from the gluten free menu." When she brought my food out, I took a bite (I couldn't see the chicken due to the lettuce bun) and realized it was fried chicken. I told the waitress that unless the chicken was fried in Gluten Free flour, I did not get the GF version of the sandwich. She immediately told the kitchen and they remade my order (30 minutes later). I asked for a to-go box for it since my friends were already finished with their food and she obliged. Our waitress cleared the table and brought us our checks. We went to pay for our apps with the gift card that was sitting on the table, and the gift card was nowhere to be found! None of us had left the table. Obviously the waitress had cleared the gift card with the food. She says she went and looked for it in the back to no avail and there was nothing she could do. We asked to speak to the manager, thinking that surely she would make it right since the waitress made a mistake. Boy were we wrong! The manager spoke to us condescendingly and suggested that maybe it fell under the table. Then said there was nothing she could do because then they'd be paying $60 for our meal. Insinuating that we had stolen the $30 gift card and would use it on return to the restaurant. We were all very annoyed by her nasty attitude and refusal to help. During this time, I was shocked to see that I didn't receive a discount or anything for the fact that they served me a sandwich that could have made me violently ill. When I asked our server about it, she raised her voice and said, "I mean, I can see if they will take it off! Is that what you want?" I said no, never mind, please just run my card. I told her which appetizer was mine and to please add it to my check. She was quite confused by this and asked if I wanted her to charge me for the wings. My friend said, "Yes, that's why she wrote it on her check." The waitress then snapped at her and responded, "You don't have to be rude!" She took forever to return with our cards and the manager never came back out. I am absolutely appalled at the service we received from both the waitress, and the manager. I have worked in the service industry and I've never seen anything like this. WOB will surely lose all business if they keep these two ladies employed. I know I will never be back. read more
