Bought a car from the dealership 4 years ago, we were happy with sales rep and services performed here. However, went there to buy a new vehicle. The staff seemed uninterested in helping us. We told the sales rep what we wanted. He sat us down at a table, didn't introduce himself to us. He disappeared and came back and said, "Sorry don't have any of them coming in, Good Luck!" and walked away. We were shocked! Went to the Lexington Toyota dealership - greeted by staff and bought a car. Called Wilmington Toyota and asked to speak to a manager (just to let them know how poorly we were treated). My experience at Woburn Toyota has been terrible to say the least. I spent over $900 and 10 hours waiting to fix a noise on my car. The noise was not resolved, and the buck was passed by management. I let them know that I was not happy, and a Chris Johnston reached out to me via email. I let him know my situation, and received no response. I reached out again and received more silence. I will not be returning to Woburn Toyota, and I do not recommend any one else does. Also, they offered me $7,400 to buy my vehicle. I went to CarMax and they gave me 13,000. Toyota gives $500 discounts for things like vets, students, grad and all sort of things, but this dealer wouldn't give more that $250. Fine, but if you are going to be charging top dollar, you need to have good customer service. Sales rep blew off my wife's calls for days, Tried to put her into an 8% loan even though she has about an 800 Credit Score and credit unions are offering 4.5%. The rep got all pissy when she decided against the loan and kept trying to get her to take it any pay it off. So basically they tried to jerk their own lending partners around which probably explains why the loan was 8%. I called at least 3 times myself and left messages. I brought my car in for the 120, 000 service that was reported as needed to be done by Carfax. The service cost me 600.00. My car was at Woburn Toyota for 5 hours and I was called and told that my car needed 3,000.00 worth of work and was NOT safe to drive. I refused the service because I had an extended warranty with the dealership I purchased the car from. This service would have been covered under the warranty. Woburn Toyota said that I needed Rear Tire Arms and Bushings. Calling the bushings "Destroyed and Worn down" and the tire arms "ready to go at any time" and my car "Unsafe to Drive". Woburn Toyota also told me that it was impossible that the dealership that I purchased the car from ever did a safety inspection before selling me the car. I had only owned the car for a few months and Woburn Toyota said that there was no way that I could have caused this type of wear and tear with my vehicle in that short amount of time. They said that these issues had to have been there when I purchased the car. I brought the car to the dealership I purchased it from and had it looked at. I gave the dealership the paperwork that Woburn Toyota gave me and discussed what Woburn Toyota told me regarding the safety of my vehicle. The Dealership told me that I had been lied to. There was absolutely NOTHING wrong with the tire arms or the bushings in my car. They couldn't even tell me that perhaps sooner rather than later at some point in the near future; they were in the condition to need to be replaced or repaired. They also showed me what Woburn Toyota was referring to so I could visually see that by all standards, the work they recommended did not need to be done and my car was NOT unsafe to drive. Also, Woburn Toyota had told me that I needed 5 new bulbs for the front, rear and license plate headlights and lights. Also a lie. That lie was discovered as soon as I drove off the service lot the day of the 120,000 service. They tried to charge me 90.00 a bulb and told me I would be pulled over, issued a citation and be subject to moving violations on my driving record if the builds were not changed. If you read the reviews on Woburn Toyota, which I did after the fact; you have to ask yourself how they are even in business. To treat customers the way that Woburn Toyota does is absolutely unprofessional, unethical and downright outrageous. I have only ever taken my vehicle to Woburn Toyota for a safety recall when I first purchased it and this most recent service and will NEVER return for anything that needs to be done to my vehicle. I also will NEVER recommend them to sell or service a vehicle to anyone I know or remotely care about and hope this review helps others to avoid the nonsense and inconvenience their lies and methods of upselling consumers causes. And while I know that this sort of thing "happens" when you have encounters like this, with dealerships and service shops; it by no means makes it right and by no means leaves anyone thinking that they should do business with, trust, or recommend this business to anyone. They are doing more Bad than Good trying to make money. I am sure that some consumers have had a good experience with this dealership, but I unfortunately, was not one of them. read more

Both the salesman and the manager he brought over later seemed annoyed and irritated the entire time, like I was inconveniencing them. I came in looking for a Toyota Tacoma. After the test drive, we hadn't even agreed on pricing yet, and he asked to take one of my personal credit cards back to his manager so they could both "see I was serious" about buying and putting a deposit down that day. It felt very unprofessional and uncomfortable. I have no problem putting down a deposit once numbers are agreed on, but asking for a credit card before any deal is in place is a major red flag. I came in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. After the service was completed, the staff told me they lost the key to my Toyota Sienna. I ended up waiting 45 extra minutes while they searched for it, with no clear communication or sense of urgency. The sales process was fine, but service is a nightmare. Each time I go for regular car checkups as part of the extended warranty purchased or recall remedies it is a 3-4-hour affair with no communication after being quoted 60-90 minutes. I was there for 3 hours this morning for a 25k mile checkup. When I checked in after 2.5 hours they said that I needed new wiper blades and they'd call me shortly to come down and check out. No call came. 30 minutes later I finally walked down to see what the heck was going on and he said he was "just about to call me." Completely unacceptable. When questioned on this extended amount of time being there, they say "the schedulers make all the appointments in the morning." If the process doesn't work, change it. But I have had the same experience with afternoon appointments. They also used my 30k mile coupon for the 25k check in since my time had expired to use that coupon, but they had not told the staff member this, so there was miscommunication around my service and the recommendations for the vehicle while I was there for the appointment. Also, when there is a line of people to check in/out, I wouldn't expect the staff member to have extended, nonsensical conversations with customers while the others wait. i went in to have my oil changed. they came over to me and said that one of my tires had a nail in the side wall and that they could replace the tire, I said no and went to two different Sullivan Tire and had them look at the tires, They both said nothing was in my side wall and my tires were ine. Do not buy 2. hand Toyota Certified Vehicle from Woburn Toyota. I bought one, right before a year end, I have "shift system malfunction" appeared on my dash. A part related to transmission failed. They quoted 1836 dollar to fix it. Even though I have extended power train and hybrit system warranty. My advisor said that failed part is not covered under anything. Which is wrong because when I look it up, other people that have the same failure is repaired under warranty. It's not a brake actuator or ac compressor, it's a part of the transmission and it has to be under warranty. But Toyota Woburn doesn't want to pay for it. But here is the funny part: I asked my advisor that if I had this problem the NEXT DAY I bought the car, would you still charge me 1836 dollar? First he hesitated to answer but when I asked 2. Time, he said yes, I would have to pay. They are nice people, but business is business. So, stay away from 2. hand cars. Toyota certified warranty means nothing on most scenario. I would give zero if it were possible. I live in NC. Our daughter was in Woburn. We bought a plan that changed oil for free until 60,000 miles or 5 years. What we didn't know is each time they sent notice for her to come in that they would change her synthetic oil....every 5000 miles. Needless to say, we after the fact discovered it was only 6 free oil changes. I took it in to the dealer in NC while on a trip home and we found out that they stopped changing her oil at 35,000 miles. She drove 20,000 miles without a change of oil. As a father I was very displeased and concerned. My daughter drives for a living in the mountains of NH and VT. After numerous messages, no one has ever called from the dealer or Corporate Toyota. Updated in response to comment- there were no dents when I got it. But when I brought it back for service it was scratched and dented. It cannot be denied as you did repair the scratch. But left the dent. Not to mention whoever fixed the scratch left paint and primer all over other parts of the car. It was a botched job just like their sad excuse for customer service. Overall, not a great experience in Woburn Toyota, but the other ones were even worse for the lies, wasting our time, and how we got treated (we went to Watertown and Dorchester Toyotas as well). So, Woburn Toyota was ok. Sales rep Raphael could not care less after he and his boss sold us the car. The paperwork was messed up, we had to come back to resign the RTA and waited for 5 days for the car that was already there. So, if you need to buy one - schedule appointment with Johnny Raneri - he was literally the only person in the whole building who gave a rat's tail about us after we signed the dotted line. They will make an offer for your car and purposely make you wait for long periods to wear you down or ask you to come back because their used car manager is "out" today. So they do no used car or trade-in business while he is allegedly out? That is such a lie. Once you do come back or agree upon pricing they start with lower offers right before you sign the paperwork. This is after already agreeing to a price with the used car manager! This process can take hours for no good reason or they make you come back and then do it. They are worse than the Fargo movie. The sales people and used car manager are trained to do this. I have talked to others with the SAME experience. Don't ever go there. You are better off at Acton, Lexington or even Nashua. We purchased a new 2025 Toyota RAV4 from Woburn Toyota and had an old-fashioned terrible experience with several people involved in the process. Our salesperson Amr was very good, but he had to bring in a sales manager (Gary Clark) who was aggressive, talked nonstop, and nearly botched the deal with his old-school pressure tactics. We came back the next day but required someone other than Gary to be involved, and the dealership accommodated us with better people. At multiple points in the process the dealership either did not know what their own paperwork stated in the fine print or gave the wrong answer, including an added-on fee by an outside lender. Their paperwork process was cumbersome compared to other dealerships we've bought vehicles from in recent years - they need to get a good fully digital system. We were promised the vehicle within 24 hours, then it was "several days," then when we pressed we magically did get the vehicle as promised. The best thing about buying there was that they had good inventory so we got the vehicle we wanted. We'll never go back there - Lexington Toyota just a few miles away is much better. read more

Got an oil change earlier today. I would recommend that they implement a process to perform a double check to confirm that the engine oil cap is screwed back in place after the service is completed. After driving out of the service area, I decided to pop open the hood and I'm glad I did, because I found the engine oil cap lodged at the area where you press the lever to open the hood. Luckily the damage looked to be minimal (just some oil splattered on the plastic engine cover and the area above it). This Dealership is absolutely horrible. We came to an agreement on a car. Somebody was supposed to reach out to me to go over the paperwork and finalize everything. I never got a call back. I called several times to pursue moving forward only to be told. They sold the car out from under me after we had already come to an agreement and they had promised me that they put a sold sticker on it then the manager calls me to tell me that despite it being his call to sell the car he would do everything he could for me, and then it was not his decision to sell it even though he was the manager.
