We walked in and were never acknowledged, so we seated ourselves near the bar. After waiting for a while, I approached the bartender to ask for menus. She simply pointed at them, shook her head, and continued serving what appeared to be her regular customers. She then looked at us and asked if everyone in our group was over 21, which we were. When the bartender came to our table, she asked to see everyone's ID. One member of our family only had a photo of their ID on their phone, which she would not accept. She also told us she doesn't serve tables, would not be able to assist us any further, and walked away. We respect restaurant policies, but there's no excuse for making customers feel ignored and unwelcome, especially when it's nearly empty.

The restaurant was very busy, and our waiter was clearly juggling a lot of tables. Despite that, he remained pretty friendly, which I appreciated. Food understandably took a while to come out, so we ordered drinks while waiting. The beer was perfectly fine, but the mixed drinks were a completely different story. Between my mother and me, we tried three different mixed drinks, and all three were sent back. I specifically asked for something that wasn't overly syrupy or at least to go light on the syrup, but each drink tasted overwhelmingly like syrup and juice. Since these drinks presumably aren't premixed, I'm not sure where the disconnect happened, but after three attempts we gave up. Unfortunately, things didn't improve once the food arrived. Several parts of our orders were incorrect, some of the food wasn't hot, and the issues continued throughout the meal. The manager did come by our table twice, so I appreciate that there was at least an attempt to address everything. By that point, though, I had just finished an extremely long shift and was exhausted, so I eventually left the rest of my family inside and waited in the car. I could understand one rough visit, especially on a busy day, but this unfortunately hasn't been an isolated experience for us at this location. Every time we give it another chance, something seems to fall short. I genuinely wish this location were more consistent because we would absolutely frequent it given how close and convenient it is. Better quality control on food leaving the kitchen, more attention to order accuracy, and some consistency behind the bar would make a huge difference. For now, though, I unfortunately can't recommend this location based on our repeated experiences.

Phyre is located on a quiet street just steps away from St. Cloud City Hall. The décor features black velvet booths, black chairs, and marble tables. It isn't fancy, but it has a cool, modern vibe. They even had a huge Christmas tree still on display, decorated in preparation for the Fourth of July, which definitely caught my attention. Allie was my host and server, and she was friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout my visit. Every restaurant needs a Allie. She was amazing! If Phyre management reads this, she needs a raise. I mean absolutely wonderful service! I started with what they call the "Our Fashion" cocktail and their famous pretzels served with beer cheese . The cocktail was enjoyable, and I can see why the pretzels get so much attention. They were soft, warm, and fresh. I would have preferred a little less salt, but then again, it wouldn't really be a pretzel. The cheese sauce could have been hotter, but it was flavorful and paired well with the pretzels. For my entrée, I ordered the surf and turf featuring filet medallions, three crab-stuffed shrimp, and a side of garlic mashed potatoes. The food arrived surprisingly quickly, which I appreciated. The filet medallions were cooked to a perfect medium and had a nice slight crisp on the outside, although they weren't quite as hot as I would have liked. It was served towith a delicious wine sauce that really elevated the dish. The crab stuffed shrimp were flavorful, and the garlic mashed potatoes were a great complement to the meal.
