My family have been eating here for 8 years. This restaurant offers Chinese, Korean and Japanese dishes. Through the years, we have ordered the chicken Katsu, fried rice, Chow mein (combination of pork, chicken and shrimp), bento box (chicken teriyaki, shrimp tempura, vegetable tempura. Very generous portions are given. All the food have been flavorful and delicious. However, one recent order I placed a few months ago was the chicken katsu. It was over fried and rubbery. We did not enjoy that. This was a first time we experience this. The only person who works the front does it all!! She is the cashier, order taker, server, answers phone orders and bags your order. She can get extremely busy. Expect a wait if you are ordering to go, however, they get through the orders pretty quickly. We would return to eat other items, I'm afraid to order the chicken katsu again LOL!

The food wasn't as good as the reviews. I ordered the beef short ribs, which was ridiculously expensive and at this point it's probably just easier to make them at home, it was pretty-mid. Nothing that stood out about it, maybe just the price. we also got the Szechuan beef and the flavor was OK, but it was drenched in sauce and vegetables and you kind of had to go fishing for the beef pieces, got a side order of spicy wings, which again were overly drenched in sauce and too thick of a coating on the chicken, almost like biting into a rock, the egg flower soup had a very weird green color to it, and I don't wanna know what that was and they had too much cornstarch or thickener. All in all when I go there again, I would definitely not. The service was OK. You gotta speak up and it's kind of hard for them to hear because of the barrier between the Customer and the host. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambience was your regular teriyaki spot, but they could turn the heat up a little bit if they have people dining in sort of hard to eat with a puffer jacket on.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Wok & Teriyaki House (Aug. 10, 2023) This is my first visit after my daughter moved to Puyallup, and we were trying to find a value Asian restaurant to dine at. Arrival time was just after noon on a Thursday. The eatery was doing brisk business with takeout but seating is still available. Yes, there is cool air conditioning too! Daughter ordered the Teriyaki chicken and Katsu lunch combo special ($12.99), and I ended up with Bento B which consisted of Teriyaki chicken, 4 pieces of sushi, 2 pieces of shrimp tempura.and an eggroll ($14.99). Both orders came with a refreshing small salad as well. The former came out first, and my first impressions was it was large for a lunch special. The bento box came up shortly after, and was impressive as well. Taste-wise - The food tasted fine overall. I found the sushi was done very well. The Teriyaki sauce tasted good, the grilled chicken was a little tough. A general complaint was that some of the fried foods (Katsu especially) were over-fried to become a little tough and dry. The staff were kind and very efficient, and will even refill ice water to a half empty cup. Location serves Pepsi distributed products. Overall, this eatery rates 4 out of 5 stars. Despite some of the shortcomings, the meal is a great value, and definitely definitely worth the money. Combined with the lovely staff and the cool air conditioning of the eatery, I shall definitely return to try other things out of their extensive menu. Happy Eating !!!!

    Genuinely Tao and Fried Rice...!

Awesome! I love the combination of shrimp fried rice and General Tso's chicken. The seasoning is excellent. The service was excellent and efficient. The open seating arrangement was very comfortable and inviting. There are plenty of Dirty and Arrogant Teriyaki restaurants out there! THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM 4 I'll give it a WOOOO , Rick Flair!

Where do I begin... prices aren't on their menu board over head. What you see online on the menu isn't what they charge. They're highly overpriced, and VERY rude. MOSTLY, to women. And the two ppl up front are in fact women, so I'm very confused lol!! They had a listing of different fried rice all with meat and one called plain fried rice, I didn't want the meat so I ordered that. I get to the car and notice this plate of white rice with vegetables tossed in, so I went back in and I told them I wanted my money back because fried rice is cooked with soy sauce. They said the plain doesn't have it. This was never explained or specified on the menu, guess I wasn't their preferred client. Only ppl they treat nice are men and women who come in with men. I made that observation about 10 minutes in. If you want to spend 50+ on a couple plates, do you. I however don't like the attitude and will never go back. Food is also mediocre. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Environment is also unwelcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Sweet & Sour chicken with rice

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Dinning area is very clean, the ladies makes sure to clean after patrons leave.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Sweet and sour chicken is my favorite. Nice and crispy with the sweet and sour sauce. Take out portions is big so be prepared to have left overs. My son loves their lunch beef bowl, it comes with rice and noodles. Customer service is good. They are friendly.

Food is pretty good. Not super plain. Decent portions for the prices. I put a water bottle one of the pics for size comparison. We got the: -Sesame Chicken ($14), Teriyaki Chicken and -Mongolian Beef Special Combo ($17) where the yakisoba noodles were soaked under the Mongolian Beef sauce. Also got the -Egg Roll (2rolls) & Gyoza (4potstickers) appetizer ($8). Recommend ordering 30-45 minutes prior at dinner time as they get quite busy. Their dine in lobby were filled with people waiting rather than eating. The workers were nice, they were just under a lot of pressure with the orders this Friday evening 7p-8p.

They have…read moreincreased their lunch prices since then so just be aware that the menus I posted last year are not the same as this current year. I had gotten their bento lunch special last year and was very happy with the amount of food but did not receive miso soup. They raised this price by $5 and I couldn't really justify that so I decided to get something else. My boyfriend got their sushi roll lunch special last time and in our recent visit and was happy with his choices. I got the sushi rolls lunch specials this time and I wished the rolls had more rice on them as there spots that had no rice at all or it would just come apart. For our rolls, we have tried their Philly roll, shrimp tempura roll, Lion King Roll, and spicy Bay roll. The sushi here is just your average sushi spot. It doesn't really differentiate itself from other places. For example, the spicy bay roll that I got just had a line of sriracha sauce and I was hoping for their own spicy sauce to top it off. The teriyaki was good from what I remembered but again, nothing to really differentiate it from other nearby locations. The service is friendly but they never come back to check on you or refill waters. Even when we were finished, the waitress was watching TV and must have got engrossed in it that she forgot we were there as no take out orders or other customers came in while we were there. They do have a large TV playing sports but no music and the TV was rather quiet. The space is nice but it just felt very dark but we sat next to a window so I could take nice pictures. I think this will be our last visit as there are other locations offer a better dining experience with better service and ambiance.
