The only thing that was not cold was the soup! The chicken teriyaki would have been excellent if it wasn't cold. I would recommend going to restaurant rather than have it delivered. This place is potentially good but it is quite a gamble to have food delivered in appropriate temperature. Sadly I had to reheat my food except the soup. Was out and about shopping and the wife got hangry and demanded Asian food, so we decided to take a chance with some place new. As always we ran to our Yelp app to save the day and found this place. Off rip it was obvious that this was going to be one of those times I had something "constructive" to say. The dining area is about as expected of a mom and pop restaurant tucked away in a medium sized shopping center, but off rip I wasn't impressed as the air conditioning didn't seem to be working and mind you it's July! Secondly the hostess was rude to both myself as well as my wife, but I was determined to get the missus what she wanted and decided to wait to see the quality of the food before storming out in a show of disappointment. We both order fried rice dishes ( myself the pork, and BabyCakes got the beef). The portion for what we payed was a saving grace, and the ingredients were fresh. With that said I won't be too harsh, but kudos to the cook because that person saved this place from getting a super terrible review from myself. I can't speak for the wife though because she doesn't like being talked to disrespectfully as she is a fairly easy going person and treats others in kind. Over all I give this place a 4/10. Almond Chicken is my favorite fake Chinese food. Over my lifetime of trying Almond Chicken from different dining establishments, 99% of them have been lightly salty and savory. However, Honto's Almond Chicken was sweet, which really turned me off. Considering how much I spent and the food I received, I feel entitled to a refund. This place is okay. Generous portions and lots of choices. I got the chicken teriyaki and the general tso chicken combo with an order of gyoza on the side. I liked the teriyaki but the general Tso wasn't super flavorful. The gyoza were pretty bland by themselves but got super salty paired with the sauce that comes with it. Basically a waste of $8. I would be hesitant to try the those again, however, overall my meal was decent. I ended up throwing away the leftovers. One tiny scoop of rice, my salad was just thrown in there, and there was sauce everywhere. I go back in and ask. Normally places give you 2 scoops of rice and salad on the side. Who wants to eat hot salad right? So i ask about it, immediately she gives me attitude about how I'm wrong. So she finally grabs the box out of my hand and slaps it on the counter for another scoop. I have been eating from here for years and i enjoy there food a lot but the cooks are completely inappropriate, i a 17 year old girl am constantly stared at inappropriately by the grown men in the kitchen every time i walk into the establishment, but what really got me was when i went to pick up food with my little sister who is 14 and a cook looked her up and down, licked his lips and winked at her. Came in here for lunch and ordered the teriyaki chicken and almond chicken combo plate with just veggies, another ordered the beef short ribs, and another ordered the Mongolian beef bento box. The teriyaki chicken was pretty typical of what you would get at any teriyaki place, nothing outstanding, but the almond chicken, beef short ribs, and Mongolian beef were all delicious. The portions are definitely large, probably even by a big eater's standards. I ate about a third of my meal and what I took home still filled up an entire to-go box. I was a little apprehensive of dining here after reading two prior reviews that comment on the owner's demeanor, the quality of the food, and the cleanliness of her establishment - but - in rebuttal, I have to point out that my experience here was the exact opposite. The owner was extremely nice to our party; every 'thank you' was met with a 'you're welcome'. I also overheard her interacting with other patrons, and she was always perfectly pleasant and polite (seemingly regardless of race, contrary to what another reviewer stated).
