On 7/22/17 my mom and I went in during lunch hour. Our family has been going for years and love it. We will never go back again due to owners lack of compassion. A homeless man entered and attempted to purchase anything that was a dollars worth of food. The staff refused to sell any item for a dollar. The owner came out, and instead of assisting the man, he pulls out the trash can and tells him to search for food in there. My mother approached the owner with regards to how the situation should have been publicly handled, to which the owner demanded that "If you don't like it leave." I loved this Chinese food place except I got major sick. I came to the realization that my stomach can't handle the MSG. However, it's good and not bad for being a fast food Chinese food. Like most places that are good, the parking was terrible. Seems to be my ongoing struggle whenever I go anywhere these days. Hubby enjoyed it. I have been coming here for years and I can always expect the food to be fresh. One thing I like is that they fill your plate until the lid can barely close. Worst fucking place now! I used to love it. The fresh food was being thrown on top of the old food so you can imagine how long the bottom chicken was sitting there for and to top it off the tray wasn't empty so there was a mountain of chicken on top of the old teriyaki chicken. The sriracha tastes old and then the server comes out grabs the next bottle and pours it into the next to complete a full bottle. Where the food was it was fucking messy chicken juice flying chowmein everywhere. Went in to buy some eggflour soup on Christmas, first the lady gave the customer in front of me a free soda as a "Christmas gift" , I did not get anything free with my order. Then she tried to overcharge me saying my order was $7.50 (not including the crispy noodles), I then corrected her and told her that it's usually about $5 including the crispy noodles. She hesitated (realizing she had been caught), apologized and rung me up for the right amount. When I got home the noodles were stale. I like the place because there is constant turn around on their food. It never sits there to long. Sometimes the food is recooked so I wouldn't go in the mornings I had it at four stars but I'm taking a star off because they're starting to get cheap with their food. This has been my go-to Chinese food place for years. I have tried a few other places including Happy Wok but Wok Express is way better! My usual order is a Combo B with all chow mein and double orange chicken. The chow mein is tasty and the orange chicken is amazing (great flavor and the perfect crunch). I normally do not eat soup from fast food places but the one here is actually pretty good. The teriyaki chicken and broccoli beef are tasty as well. I see a lot of people ordering egg rolls but I have never tried them. Everyone who has every helped me has been very warm and welcoming. One of the women here is the sweetest lady and always wears a smile. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I have no idea why the rating is so low but I've never had better Chinese fast food. The prices are low. The quality and quantity of the food are high. Free refills. This place rocks! Great food, low prices, large portions and friendly service. What more can you ask for? I get the jalapeño shrimp which is bomb! The won ton soup is excellent. I also get their vegetables. They are steamed with à slight vinegar sauce. Not sure how to describe, but give them a try. You wont be disappointed.
