Floor to ceiling windows provided a natural light and a view of the outside but it did come at the cost of an uncomfortably warm place to sit. I ordered Sweet & Sour Pork, and I'm the first to admit that is not a very good choice to rate the quality of food, but I like that dish. What they made was very basic, very standard. Getting it as their lunch special also made it inexpensive, and that got them an extra star. My interactions were businesslike, and it looked like other customers that came in after me was also got that same type of service. They said it would take about 10 minutes and it only took 6, so that nice. The place itself was clean. First and last. Part of the order was good, but the egg drop soup was terrible. I don't expect much from these places, cheap food, but I never had to throw away egg drop soup. It tasted like dirty unsalty water with a slight taste of cleaning chemical... Me and someone else got food poisoning, more than likely because of that soup. Ordered honey chicken combination with lo mein got sweet and sour with fried rice. The lady in the phone kept interrupting me and I had to tell her to hold on so I could finish ordering what I wanted. When I called to let them know about my order being wrong I spoke to 3 different people that claimed to be the manager . They wanted to just bring me sausage to throw on my chicken . Kept saying I didn't order lo mein with my honey chicken . All around it was extremely stressful and I ended up telling them to forget everything . The fried rice went into the garbage because we don't eat rice . And my small order of lo mein ended up going to my daughter so that she wasn't just left with eating chicken . I used to stop here on occasion because I do my laundry next door. The garlic chicken is pretty bland, egg rolls large but typical Chinese take-out, nothing special. Pork spare ribs can be good, but hit and miss on size of the order and if it gets overcooked. LoMein bland too. Servings are good size, but like I said, bland on the several items I've tried. The girl "working" at the counter is never friendly, and always on her computer. She shows zero interest in what you ask for, what you want, or when your order is done. The others in the kitchen always hard at work behind her, but never a hello, a thank you, a smile, nothing. After getting my order last time there, I paid and asked for 4-quarters back with some of my change. She said can't spare it - even though plenty in the drawer which I could plainly see. Really? "Can't spare a square"? LOL With so many Chinese take-out places to choose from, no need for me to eat here again. I wish this place didn't have the same name as another Chinese restaurant nearby, because it makes it hard to search for them online, but they're wonderful. They're the only Chinese place that delivers to my campus (every other delivery place conveniently stops short of my college) and it's also absolutely delicious. I've never been to their location, only ordered over the phone, so I can only judge from that. Every time I order, they deliver within half an hour and are always happy to meet me at my dorm. The delivery person is always very nice, and has change on them so theres no awkward fumbling for bills. I always order the beef and broccoli with veggie fried rice, and good lord is that veggie fried rice something to die for. The vegetables taste fresh and are very crisp, and the flavors in them is to die for. The beef and broccoli is pretty good as well, but the beef is just a tad on the chewy side. Their egg rolls and spring rolls are pretty standard, nothing that blows my mind, but I'm happy to eat them. Will order again. read more

Stopped in to order lunch and while I was waiting for my take-out order I noticed the lack of cleanliness; tables & floors were quite dirty, and heavy plastic sheeting obscuring a view of the kitchen. When I got my order home the food was awful! Worst tofu I have ever eaten- soggy & devoid of flavor. I ordered General Tso's tofu and it contained only 3 pieces of broccoli, the rest was the subpar tofu. Spring roll was equally disappointing, no flavor and had a freezer burned taste. Ordered about $50 of Chinese food and when delivered an item was wrong. Called to let them know they sent Orange Chicken and not Orange Beef. They told me I was wrong after I told them repeatedly it was definitely chicken. So here is my bad review. To be honest, the rest of the food tasted like garbage anyways and I would recommend any other restaurant. I've been here about 15 times so far for lunch in about 10 times for dinner. Good portion sizes and I love the fact that all the vegetables are fresh. Out of my 25 times I've been here I'm yet to have a bad experience. My meals always ready within 10 minutes and they've never messed up my order. And I love their moo goo gai pan. I also like that you can choose soup over an egg roll when you get the combination platter. I was in the restaurant when another Patron came in to complain that Rice was touching their chicken. It was absolutely absurd what the person wanted. To have rice not touch the chicken in their meal. I thought the owners handled the situation very well even though the patron was being, frankly, an idiot. read more

Restaurants should understand that the food they offer must be superior in taste and quality to anything customers can buy at their nearby supermarket and prepare at home. As far as neighborhood American style chinese food goes, your in the right spot. I have a picky opinion on crab Rangoon as I worked in a Chinese restaurant for my first job. Mr Lee literally made the best crab Rangoon ever, you just won't understand. So as far as China gardens crab goes, slightly above average. Everything else is good. It is your standard pork fried rice, lo mein, and generals chicken type place. It is priced right, fast and clean. I've been getting delivery from here for years and I really like the kid who does it. He is friendly and prompt. The girls up front are nice and professional.
