If you were trying to decide whether or not to try this place out, here's your sign! The woman helping us was very sweet, she let us know everything was made to order! So there will be a wait, but it will definitely be worth it, the food is hot, fresh and delicious! I did have to take a star away since the restaurant was a bit dirty but it was busy, lots of customers waiting and very close to closing time. But will definitely be back and try something new!

Wok It Out isn't just a restaurant; it's where our family's Chinese takeout dreams come true! Seriously, every time we order, it's like a little party on our dining table. Want to know the best part? Everything is made fresh, like the veggies were just plucked from a magical garden and stir-fried by a friendly dragon. From your individual meal to the party trays, everything is made to order. And oh, the salt and pepper pork chops! They're not just good; they're like tiny bites of happiness, each one seasoned with a sprinkle of fairy dust. You can feel the love in every bite. If you're looking for a takeout experience that's a little bit special, Wok It Out is the place to be!

Ordered a tray of salt and pepper wings for Super Bowl Sunday and they were able to accommodate me within 30 minutes from when I called in the order. Those wings are soooo delicious! Full of great flavor, garlic, small amount of heat and huge wings! We couldn't stop eating them! Definitely will be back for more! My only regret is that I did not take a photo.

I was in bakersfield for a critters without litters appointment for my doggo and I looked up chinese food after. Looking at places near me this place popped up I saw the rating and the reviews and decided to try it for myself. On arrival I saw the menu and I asked for the two plate combo. The food server quickly told me if I wanted to try the lunch special and told me the options I had with drink included. I made my decision and proceeded to check out. She handed my drink and told me to wait 1-3 minutes. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and as I came out she saw me and said " Sir your order is ready" and opened up the box and asked me how does it look. I have never experienced service like this at any chinese "fast food" before. It looked great she gave me sauces and a fortune cookie followed by enjoy. I will definitely be revisiting this place again

This was actually my second time visiting Wok It Out. The first time I visited, I forgot to leave a review. This time around I visited around 1:30 in the afternoon, which was well after the lunch rush when I entered the establishment it was completely empty, but I was greeted right away by the very friendly employees she quickly took my order which consisted two 2 item plates. One of my plates I ordered orange chicken and beef and broccoli. The beef and broccoli that they had in the serving tray was low so the employee asked if I mind waiting just a few minutes and they would make me fresh bread and broccoli which I very much appreciated . My other plate consisted of orange chicken and mushroom chicken. Both were fresh tasting and full of flavor. For my two plates, it ended up coming to a total of $20 and just a few cents. For the amount that we were given, I definitely believe that that's a fair price and I will definitely be back if not for the customer service alone. The restaurant was very clean and up kept. everything seems to be well organized.

Wow! Wok it Out!! My first time into this spot and we were impressed! We walked in to see a great special offer, it was about 45 minutes until closing and they did not have much left out, so they made almost everything for us fresh! The service was great and I would recommend the egg flower soup and the salt and pepper chicken. Will definitely be returning!

I love the beautiful old world decor with the dark rich wood and the beautiful murals that they have kept as well. It's so nice to know one of Bakersfield's traditional restaurants has been kept in tact. Tony was our awesome server this evening. We each started with the tasty wonton soup. Warm and soothing with tender wantons & vegetables in as rich broth. We had the sweet and crunchy walnut shrimp, so mouthwatering! We also offered the dumplings in red sauce. My companion ordered the red sauce on the side. I actually prefer the dipping sauce. So we both got to have it our way. I ordered the rice bowl dinner and specifically told our server that I wanted the soft noodle chicken chow mein that comes with the meal. When my food arrived, it had crunchy noodles instead. I let the server know that this wasn't what I ordered. He seemed confused and told me to keep the plate and that he would bring me a side of chicken chow mein. Since everyone else's food was already at the table, I agreed. The problem is, he never brought it. By the time he returned, he was bringing takeout containers and the bill. I had to remind him that I was still waiting for my chow mein. A minute later, he came back with a small bowl of what appeared to be plain boiled noodles. When I explained that I had ordered chicken chow mein, he told me those were the noodles that go underneath the vegetables. At that point, I was done arguing about it. Unfortunately, the food itself wasn't much better. It was bland and lacked the flavor and quality I remember Rice Bowl having in the past. What disappointed me even more was the way my complaint was handled. I brought the issue to the owner's attention, and I felt my concerns were simply disregarded rather than taken seriously or addressed. Mistakes happen in restaurants, and I understand that, but how management responds to a customer when something goes wrong says a lot about the establishment. Rice Bowl has been a longtime Bakersfield restaurant, and I genuinely remember a time when both the food and service were much better. Based on this experience, it feels like the quality and customer service have declined significantly. We came here to celebrate my mother's birthday and left frustrated and disappointed. Unfortunately, after the poor service, bland food, incorrect order, and the way my complaint was handled by the owner, I will not be returning. I also would not consider hosting another family celebration or event here.

The place is like your standard Chinese takeout restaurant, where you have premade dishes, ready to be served with white rice, fried rice, or chow mein noodles. The menu has standard items such as orange chicken, general, chicken, chicken, teriyaki, honey, walnut, shrimp, honey, chicken, mushroom chicken, and so. They also offer egg rolls, cream, cheese, wontons, and soup. What stands out about this place is that they offer a catering menu, unlike some of the other homegrown Chinese takeout places. The restaurant itself is very clean although had a strong smell of Fabuloso and the tables in the floors were a bit sticky. They have one singular bathroom and it was clean. The person who took my order was very nice, friendly, and professional. She was very eager to give me a taste of the entrées in case I wasn't sure what I wanted to eat and I thought that was very cool. I purchased a bowl with half fried rice and half chow mein, and one entrée. For my entrée chose the honey shrimp. my meal came with a fountain drink so that was good. The entrée is $9.99 however, because I got the shrimp, it was a little bit extra. I wish I had gone when the IG people were there doing their reel... Because my food didn't taste anything like how they described it. The honey shrimp was very tasty and the shrimp was cooked perfectly however, every now and then I would get a huge puffy piece. I was not impressed with the fried rice nor the chow mein. I was expecting it to have a wok-seared flavor, like how it was described by the couple doing the reel on IG. For me, it was very plain, in fact, at one point, I thought the chow mein noodles were spaghetti noodles. While the meal satisfied my hunger, since it was dinner time, I likely will not be going back... Sorry, peeps I still have not found good Chinese food in Bakersfield. I hope you have a different experience, and if you do, enjoy!

Spicy, stir-fried flat rice noodles with your choice of meat (we picked chicken and beef & pork are available for an additional fee) chili, garlic, basil, onion, bell pepper, carrot and tomato. You can pick your level of spicy and we went with spicy. 5/5 2. Crying Tiger $18.95, Thai style grilled beef. Served medium rare with spicy tamarind sauce. This was definitely my favorite. Thai Boat Noodle Soup $16.95, a savory herbal broth with pork rinds, beansprouts, Chinese broccoli, choice of noodles and choice of beef or pork, topped with fried garlic, green onion, and cilantro. The broth was a bit on the saltier side for me. But overall a great, savory soup. 4/5 I look forward to additional visits because there are so many more dishes that I want to try.
