    Lettuce Wraps Chicken
    Rita B.

This was not a great meal. Service wasn't bad but food was not good. Save your money and go order some Chinese take out from a mom and pop shop to get better food The lettuce wrap had an odd smell, the dip was extremely thick and sweet which was the same sauce used for the yakitori. Definitely one of the worse meals I've had, the lettuce wrap should be avoided. The sushi wasn't bad, was it great - no, but it wasn't awful. The beef yakitori was fine, sauce was so strong tasting , takes it away from the beef.

Get some pretty good Asian fusion. It unfortunately happens to also be pretty expensive Asian fusion, damn it. Wok N Fire is a pretty popular place with a couple of locations, this one in Burr Ridge. Could be busy or pretty slow depending on when one goes. The better times are at happy hour so you can save. Came here for a meeting and eating. It was very nice that I didn't have to pay all of it. This was especially good for this. Hell of expensive. That was only for just an entree. Forget cocktails. The food is good but not that good though. Has mostly Asian fusion. I had the Kung Pao Tofu. This is stir fried in a wok. It's $17 for crying out loud. This has bean sprouts, carrots, chili peppers, peanuts, red peppers, scallions, and water chestnuts in a spicy brown garlic sauce. It comes with a choice of lo mein or rice. There's a lot in it but not that much of it as in the portion is pretty small. At least compared to the cost. This sadly is typical of most menu prices. Best to come at the happy hour. It's a little cheaper but not much. There's a few cheaper cocktails and appetizers but not that much saving.

Went to Wok N Fire Burr Ridge for the very first time since the pandemic with my girlfriends whom I haven't seen in 2 years. We were all very excited. But unfortunately...it was a super busy night and maybe understaffed....so we didn't get to eat anything. We were there from 5:30pm to 7:30pm and we only had a chance to order our dirty martinis and Las Vegas roll with pan seared dumplings. That's all I get to eat. 2 pieces of Las Vegas roll and 1 dumpling. I was starving so after 2 hours and still no sign of our waiter....again....I understand the short staffed issue but I will not go back again and would not recommend. With 6 dirty martinis and 1 roll of Las Vegas and 1 order of dumplings...it was $125.....and we had to go somewhere else for dinner......it was not the best experience and not friendly on our wallet. Very disappointed. Update: Owner asked me to email them which I did and never heard back from them. Therefore, I took another star off so now it is only worth 1 star. I tell everyone this story and we all get a good laugh out of this experience. Oh well. Good bye Wok n Fire forever

    Food with sticker on it

Horrible!!! My daughters went for dinner and the stickers were still on there vegetables in the soup. There Manager Ken didn't think it was big deal and took advantage of a 16 and 11 year old. After I called him When they got home he said he handled it fine and it's not a big deal. What a Joke! Not only is the food quality horrible but the manager is a disgrace and takes advantage of young girls.

First time here. Upon entering, we were approached by one of the least warm/friendly hostesses I've come across. Either she was having a bad day or she had no business being a hostess. She spoke to us like a drill sergeant. Marsha, please check yourself. The server, Vee, was a lot nicer. She noticed I was having problems scanning the QR code to see the menu so she asked us if we preferred physical menus (the hostess did not give us a choice). Vee was friendly and attentive. The food was mediocre at best and was overpriced. My hubbie ordered Mongolian beef. It cost $15 PLUS $5 extra for the beef. For a $20 lunch entree you would think it would be spectaculatar... The Mongolian flavor was very good but the rice was extremely hard and uneditable. We asked for another bowl but it was just as bad. I ordered the pad see ew with chicken ($17). The noodles and flavor were good but the Chinese broccoli stems were undercooked and overly bitter. Tip for owners: An Asian restaurant MUST serve decent white steamed rice. Come on now... SMH. The decor was very nice (see pix). But sad to say, there was food on the floor. So points off for cleanliness too. We were quite disappointed with our visit. We should have gone to Cooper's Hawk a few doors down. We probably would have spent the same amount. SMH.

My friend and I had an excellent experience here! The servers were friendly, courteous, and accommodating. The restaurant was beautifully lit and included some nice decor. The food and drinks were also excellent, and the turnaround time was quick. Plentiful options for sushi or stir fry. We went with the stir fry! I ordered the sweet and spicy steak and a dirty martini. The steak itself was delicious, well seasoned, and crispy. My friend enjoyed her kung pao steak and apple martini. One specific server, a gentleman, was very kind, funny, and charismatic. He told us jokes periodically throughout the evening. I can't wait for our next dinner here! It was truly a great night out! I would recommend it.

Great service by the bartender named Carlos! He makes custom drinks, very personable! Food was great! Mongolian beef and sushi was tasty. We will be coming back!

Average food for average prices. I love the happy hour for drinks and traditional maki rolls, otherwise I haven't been here in awhile.

Wow, just wow. I love wings in a variety of ways. I make decent wings myself and have likely…read moretried them at over a hundred different places in my lifetime. This place was shockingly delicious. Let's start with the elephant in the room... time. It took longer than I was expecting to receive my food, however there is a really good reason for that. The wings were prepared perfectly. I do mean perfectly. Juicy, but completely cooked and crispy. I seriously doubt these were frozen fried because the wings were cleaned very well. I've been to wing places serving every 4th wing still has a feather (yuck) or overly breaded or salted. Not this place! These wings have an incredible crispy texture but still hot and flavorful. I was considering 12 wings or more just so I could try different flavors but I settled on an 8 piece combo. Instead of fries I elected fried corn seasoned with Cajun seasoning. Very tasty. For the wings , I chose two flavors I wasn't experienced with: 1st salted egg. This was a very interesting flavor that had a powdery texture but a finish that wasn't overly salty but incredibly flavorful. The 2nd was Buldak & Gochujang and that was sweet and savory with a light touch of heat. These flowers really intensify the perfectly cooked chicken. The presentation was also well placed. I never thought I would give 5 stars to a chicken wing place but anything less would be unfair to the cook/chef and staff of this place. Restaurant and bathrooms were very clean and staff very friendly and accommodating. My only frustration is ... I'm visiting from Denver so I can't get this place without a flight or 900 mile drive. This will be my stop next time I'm back in Bolingbrook. I wish other wing places trained with this staff as this is how you do it right and this place was off the chain! Well done!!!

Before dropping us off at the airport, my wife's aunt treated us (my wife, her mom, and me) to lunch. I got to choose the place, and the experience ended up being really great. Even though it looks like you are supposed to stand in line to order and pay, the restaurant also supports a typical dine-in experience. It's an open kitchen, with seating on the side. Once we were seated, we were given menus and a tablet to place our order, but our server stayed around to explain that she would be back to help us place the order. She was the only front of house working, and she was friendly and efficient, constantly going back and forth to service to-go order taking and dine-in. The one page menu has two parts: a Chinese part and a Japanese part, and had items that we call could eat. Once we placed our order, the items came out in the following order, after being made to order. Karaage ($6.95) - five pieces of all white meat chicken, freshly deep fried. Everyone liked it, though I wish the coating was crispier. Tonkotsu Ramen ($15.95) - My wife's aunt and I got this. We both agreed the broth should have been served a lot hotter, but it was flavorful. I was especially impressed with the Chashu pork, two thin but generous pieces, nicely crisped first before serving. Edamame ($6.50) - my wife's go-to when at a Japanese restaurant. Chicken Shoyu Ramen ($15.95) - Got one for my wife's mom, and then ordered another for carry-out. One has the choice of thick noodles (classic ramen), or thin, or rice noodles. Pork and Crab Meat Xiao Long Bao ($13.99 for 12 pieces) - one can ask for it prepared steamed or pan-fried. It's great value since it is machine made and guessing prepared from frozen. It's more meat than broth in the filling, and the taste and mouthfeel was OK. But I was impressed that it was offered here at all. Would get it pan fried next time. Scallion Pancakes ($6.50) - served last, this was outstanding. Very thin and crispy. Just wish it had been served first so we could all enjoy...most of us were full by the time it came out. We paid at the end through our server. My wife's aunt really liked the 'Chicago Dumpling' t-shirt that our server was wearing, and wanted one for herself. Our server did mention that they do sell it for $30, but were out of them at the moment. We were given take-home containers to self-pack, and was warmly thanked by everyone before we left. Good value food in a comfortable setting with excellent service: that's what I will remember about Chicago Dumpling.

Well, what they actually meant was they would make the pork and shrimp without the pork so I got dumplings that were literally 1/3 filled, no leeks just some onion shavings. Most of them had a single tiny shrimp in them, that's all. I'm appalled they would serve us that, probably because it was close to closing and they wouldn't be open to deal with me once I got home and realized what they did. I love dumplings and live close by, I would've been a regular customer, but those cheap mfs lost out on that. If you didn't want to completely fill the dumplings with "seafood" then just refund that part of my order. Simple enough? Beware if you order from here.
