Worst service I've seen in awhile called at 2 pm for delivery for 6:45 pm waited till 7:10 still no show called and was told food was on its way another half hour went by no food yet called again was told they came but no one there bull was sitting waiting for them now it's around 8 said they would remake it and send it but another 45 minutes had to wait . 2 and a half hours after it was suppose to be there finally get it and they still had the nerve to charge me food wasn't good will never order from them ever again . First time at Wok n' Roll. Ordered the Hot and Sour soup and house special Chop Suey. Was slightly disappointed by the brown sauce on the Chop Suey, but the flavor was OK. Vegetables were fresh and shrimp, chicken and pork were plentiful and not over-cooked. The Hot and Sour soup was not very good. It didn't have much flavor at all, and that's what it's all about with Hot and Sour soup. Though, like the Chop Suey, the ingredients were fresh and not over-cooked. Lastly, the decor is as other reviewers have mentioned. Go there for take-out. I'll be back to try their sushi at some point. read more

The guy who took my order was extremely rude. I asked for the total of my order and he got all frustrated with me, told me my total and hung up on me. I have had such a great experience with this place but this experience has left my wife and I to think twice about ordering from here. Ate here a couple of weeks ago despite the poor reviews out of desperation. Prices were higher than what I was accustomed to and the food was below average. Crab Rangoon was lackluster, spare ribs had no meat on the bone, and what WAS there was dry and the chicken fingers were very small with more breading than chicken. Pork fried rice was OK. Wok n' Roll is top notch cheap delivery chinese food. I moved to Ayer a few months ago after living in Boston....was bumming when I realized only a handful of places deliver but not after I ordered from Wok N Roll!! they're SO fast - like...once we ordered and within ten minutes they were at our house. We thought they had made a mistake - but nope, there was all of our food, fresh, steamy goodness. I have to say - I do like their hot and sour soup contrary to the other review. My boyfriend is obsessed with the general tso's chicken - get white meat only - more than worth the extra dollar. Ingredients taste SO FRESH! unlike any cheap delivery chinese I've had. However, I went into the restaurant today to order takeout....saw the two fish tanks on the counter that were green, dirty and desperately needed to be cleaned... We got some pretty tasty chinese food from this place. The chicken was coated with corn starch to make the sauce stick, which I didn't particularly care for, but it still tasted fine. This is definitely a take out or delivery place - the store is not really attractive at all. Really good vegetarian lo mein, and they included free donut-like things which were very tasty. I'm surprised that the rating of Wok isn't higher. We've been ordering from here for years and always been satisfied with our food. It's not lofty fusion-esque fare but it is delicious and way better than any other competitors in the area. The family that owns it seems nice as well. I've tried the sushi, Happy Family, Orange Chicken, wonton soup, and pork pad-thai. The food quality and taste range from good to poor depending on what you order. The sushi is not that fresh and tasted mediocre. The sushi rolls are cheap but the flavor and freshness just isn't there. As for the Happy Family, it is very good!! It comes with rice and has lots of veggies and different types of meat. The orange chicken is good too, but needs more sauce. There are orange rinds in there which is strange; I know they are in there for flavor but it is weird when I accidently end up chewing an orange peel instead of the orange chicken, because they look similar. The taste of the orange peel makes me squirm. On my last trip to Wok N Roll, I ordered the chicken pad-thai and wonton soup. When I went to eat my pad-thai, I realize that they gave me PORK pad-thai instead of CHICKEN pad-thai!! The pork pad-thai is average..not as good as authentic pad-thai that I have had at Thai restaurants. On top of that, the wonton soup I ordered was too salty...I had to add 2 packets of duck sauce to it to reduce the saltiness, but even then it was still salty. I was disappointed with the food on my last visit. I would eat here again because it is close to my work, but I know now, to check my food and not order sushi and soup. I've been ordering from them for the last 6 years. As with any type of food, there is an adjustment from what you are used to at another restaurant. I usually order the same thing; Pu Pu platter, shrimp lo mien, peking ravioli/dumplings with ginger sauce (loved their old recipe better, but still order extra ginger sauce for 25 cents). On Halloween this year we didn't have anything to do so we went and ate at the restaurant. They served us our food on real dinnerware, and left overs were transferred to foam containers. It was very COLD, with a space heater near the register. Food is usually ready in 10 mins, 20 mins on a holiday (this year we ordered from them on Christmas Eve & New Years Eve). Their delivery car can been seen driving around Ayer and surrounding towns. I've never ordered delivery so can't comment on that. read more

The crab Rangoon's are a joke , tiny filling with all pastry. The driver (depending on the day) is rude as fck. They deliver quickly but if you do not hear the driver and he has to wait for a minute , he becomes irate. Please note, do not try to attempt to pay with an AMEX card, I tried this once, ordered the Mongolian Beef, and got very little beef and all onions.(keep in mind the owner tried to get me to pay with a different card before he acquiesced. I literally signed up for yelp and downloaded their app specifically to help people save money from ordering at this place. My spicy tuna sushi had The smallest pieces of tuna in it. It was a rice ball. The pathetically small pieces looked more like ham but had a bad fishy taste to them. I threw my whole order out after three bites. I wasted $ on this. Never again. read more

Im a freshman in high school and the Wok is a regular place to order food from in my family. Nothing is better than studying for a big test, and smelling the aroma of chicken fingers, or munching on shrimp fried rice at 11 pm while watching a youtube video about something completely unrelated to your life. All I can say is, check this place out, because this place might not seem the nicest, and the workers might not be the most friendly, but once you try it, it'll become a tradition. read more

We got delivery. They forgot part of the order, but gave us another dish that we hadn't ordered. So we called to get it. The driver came back with our food, but also walked into our room (we were staying at a hotel) and took the meal we had not ordered. HE TOOK IT BACK?! We had been poking it trying to figure out what it was, because we didn't think it was ours. So, you know, hopefully the driver didn't just re-wrap it and bring it to who it was supposed to go to. That would be disgusting! So I sincerely hope he just threw it away or something. Anyway the food wasn't great, but not terrible. We USED to order from there often but they just got 5 health health code violations AGAIN!! I called the Board of Health to find out what they all were and was told they don't put it online you have to come in and read the report. I do KNOW that one of the violations was for CUTTING UP FOOD ON THE FLOOR! I was also able to find out that they have had violations since at least 2013! Two of the others were for mold on the food and refrigerator too warm to safely store food. I haven't gone to read the report because these 3 are enough to stop me from ever eating there again. Also, apparently they play this game where they keep selling the restaurant because when they do and change the name the Board of Health told me they have to wait until all the paperwork, etc. is finalized before they go back in to see if the violations have been fixed. Restaurant has remained open, no sign on the restaurant by the Board of Health informing the public about these violations. Disgraceful! As long as the town gets their tax money they do not care if anyone, like a small child or a person with an immunity problem gets sick. Obvious that we will Never spend our hard earned money there again. read more
