I've had NY style rice flavored with saffron (or yellow food coloring) here it's plain steamed rice and the typical fried rice has more soy than other Chinese sub genres. Ok, foodology lecture over. We stopped in for lunch, the kids were back from school helping mom and dad out, you still either order at the counter or take a menu back to your seat. (This place is mostly take out now). Food is served in take out containers or paper plates . The take out containers work for us since we never finish everything. Lunch specials are pretty typical and are priced comparatively. My dining companion had the shrimp and veggie lunch special . What stood out were the 5 large fresh shrimp and a very generous portion of fresh broccoli and zucchini . The lomein was simple with a decent amount of soy. Her egg drop soup was piping hot. I opted for country tofu which was braised tofu chunks with brown sauce and veggies. Served with steamed rice. Now I am a sucker for their traditional egg rolls (not the wimpy spring rolls) so I ordered them as well. Tea was served in a pot (no teabag but real tea). We ate our fill, chatted with the owner a bit and packed our stuff to go home. Always a pleasure to dine here for an affordable Chinese style meal

I ordered shrimp with veggies and that comes with white rice. The shrimp had no flavor at all. The rice was so dry it felt like it was old rice rather than just steamed. The pork egg rolls are mentioned in the reviews so much I had to give it a try. I ended up giving it to my dog after one bite and my dog didn't even eat it. There was more cabbage than pork and again dull. Please Asian wok change your chef and do better because I had high hopes but throwing away dinner especially when I'm 6 months pregnant wasn't the best for my family.

This establishment, formerly known as Jasmine Express, is situated next to Smith's in the shopping center at Ann and Camino al Norte. Upon noticing the grand opening sign, I decided to experience Wok Republic. Their lunch special offers exceptional value with generous portions. The Chinese cuisine here features authentic ingredients and substantial servings, surpassing the taste of other fast-food Chinese takeout options. Kevin, the proprietor, was very helpful in explaining the menu and highlighting popular dishes. I sampled the Mongolian beef and honey walnut shrimp, both of which were delightful. I ordered cashew chicken and chow mein on DoorDash. DoorDash delivered chicken with noodles, I thought they delivered the wrong order because there weren't any cashews in the cashew chicken. Find out that Wok Republic just didn't put cashews in their cashew chicken. I tried calling the restaurant and the restaurant told me to deal with DoorDash. When I found out that it wasn't a DoorDash issue. I tried calling Wok Republic back and they set the phone down and had me waiting for 10 minutes until I finally hung up. This is their new location on Camino Al Norte. Never going to order with them again. I miss the previous business, Jasmine Express! read more

This was my first time visiting Wok Republic and I had a great experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole visit even better. They were patient, helpful, and made ordering super easy. What really impressed me was how fast the food came out -- everything was hot, fresh, and ready in no time. Absolutely loved my meal at Wok Republic! I ordered the eggplant tofu, the egg foo young, and the General Tso's chicken plate, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The eggplant tofu was tender with great seasoning, the egg foo young tasted super authentic, and the General Tso's chicken was crispy with just the right amount of sauce. It was good when you added the flavorful spicy sauce of the side. The salmon was served over lettuce that wilts from the hot fish and comes with a double sized portion of rice. Maybe they just slipped with the soy sauce in the Spicy Basil Dish my husband had. And possibly ran out of basil because his dish had a good spice level but didn't taste like basil at all. When I opened my meal up, it was like unboxing a Christmas present. I was overjoyed. Everything looked fresh and yummy, and I was astounded by the healthy portions they gave me. It was deliciously scrumptious, take my word for it. This has been the best Chinese food I've had in Vegas so far and I made sure to let the worker know. Atmosphere: humble little restaurant with about 4 tables. Other customers who came in knew the workers (they're probably the owners) by their first name. That's always a good sign. When customers know restaurant staff on a first name basis, the restaurant has made an impact on the community. As I was eating and watching these interactions happen between the staff and customers, it made me feel confident that the quality of food I was experiencing was not just a one off thing. Usually, if you order anything at a Chinese restaurant and it is good, more than likely, the other menu items are good as well.
