I'm writing this review in the parking lot. I literally just finished my lunch plate from here and it was so absolutely delicious that I couldn't wait to write this review. Chop Chop Wok. What a name ah! I'm an Asian man from Honolulu, Hawaii and I can appreciate a restaurant name that stands out. This place is a true hole in the wall. I was in the area for business and I was hungry. This place didn't even show up in my map search, but for some reason I zoomed in to a colored dot to see what it was and lo and behold I discovered Chop Chop Wok. I was hesitant because coming from Hawaii, I KNOW great Chinese food. I've tried Chinese food here in Vegas a couple times since moving here and they were mediocre at best. But here! They do Chinese food right. I got the $11.95 lunch combo special (includes white or fried rice, soup or soda, and egg roll or crab Rangoon with 7 or 8 entree items to choose from). I went with fried rice, egg drop soup, egg roll, and beef mixed vegetables. I waited about 10 minutes but little did I know all that time waiting was gonna be well worth it. I had my food in the restaurant but everything was still served in to go containers, and that was fine with me. Once the lady dropped off my plate oooh boy was I excited. It felt heavy. When I opened my meal up, it was like unboxing a Christmas present. I was overjoyed. Everything looked fresh and yummy, and I was astounded by the healthy portions they gave me. It was deliciously scrumptious, take my word for it. This has been the best Chinese food I've had in Vegas so far and I made sure to let the worker know. Atmosphere: humble little restaurant with about 4 tables. Other customers who came in knew the workers (they're probably the owners) by their first name. That's always a good sign. When customers know restaurant staff on a first name basis, the restaurant has made an impact on the community. As I was eating and watching these interactions happen between the staff and customers, it made me feel confident that the quality of food I was experiencing was not just a one off thing. Usually, if you order anything at a Chinese restaurant and it is good, more than likely, the other menu items are good as well. I'm confident if I order something else from here again, it will be just as fantastic. If you haven't tried this place out, I highly recommend, no matter what side of town you are in. Great food and prices! Went for lunch and got 2 lunch specials for about $23 full plates and drinks. The owner was very nice, went over a couple recommendations. Fast friendly service. It's a cozy casual restaurant with about 4-5 tables if you want to dine in like we did. Lunch special you choose from soup or soda and choose from 1 egg roll or 1 crab Rangoon. Chop Chop Wok is your "Hole in the Wall" Chinese restaurant hidden at the back of a big strip mall, but aren't these usually the best? The place is run by a husband and wife, and they are very nice. The place is small, maybe four tables, but their main business is take out. The last time I ordered they ONLY offered take out. We order tale-out from them about once a week, and are never disappointed. The chicken dishes are our favorite, but their soups are also fantastic. I had a craving for hot n sour soup and noodles and came across Chop Chop Wok. They had late hours and a decent rating. Ordering was a cinch. I came in the allotted time frame and my food was ready and expertly packed. This is why I have five stats bc they added cardboard between the entrees to provide stability. I love eating here when ever I get a chance, drive by or visit my friend who lives around the corner. I use to work down the street and I would order the housefried rice and shrimp rolls or sushi for lunch once or twice a month for 15 years, now I shoot by for my Shrimp Rolls 1 x week at least for a drive by snack. The food was delicious. There was three of us who ate from this two entrees meal and there was still a lot of leftovers for lunch the next day. The service seemed quick. There is a sign on the door that says no dine in. Every order must be take out. It is a very small restaurant in side. It looked clean. Was craving Asian food today and decided to give my closest Asian place another try after 4 years since the last disappointment. Food was bland, tastes old and reheated, just terrible. Broccoli is brown, overcooked or reheated, rice is wet and tastes of old - almost rancid oil. I have given Chop Chop Wok several additional chances since it was sold in the early aughts (200x). For 15 years the food has been flavorless, consistently between poor and just terrible. I have no idea who keeps posting positive reviews. The people that run it are very personable and a pleasure to deal with, unfortunately the food is worse than what I can scoop-up at a buffet after 6 hours. Don't know if the husband does the cooking, whoever is cooking needs to be replaced! I can't stand Panda Express but it is a better option than this old reheated flavorless mush. Used to order from here at least 5 times a month. We ordered several to a dozen entrees at a time for work a couple times a month around 2002 or 2003. I'm sorry, we always try to support family businesses as much as possible. Replace the cook or shut the place down. PLEASE STOP posting FAKE reviews. The food here is TERRIBLE!!! read more

Two more times for take-out here, and complimentary Crispy Noodles and Fortune Cookies were included, along with a flavorful Sweet & Sour Sauce. A Sashimi Trio was fresh but with thicker fish than usual. Jumbo-sized Pork Pot Stickers were excellent except for being somewhat scorched on one side. Tempura Shrimp were golden and long. A small order of Moo Shu Pork contained Mandarin pancakes that were well filled and juicy. Hot & Sour Soup was spicy hot. A large order of Wonton Soup was fine, but Miso Soup was missing from the take-out order. A large order of Walnut Shrimp with large shrimps was sweet and very tasty. A large order of Kung Pao Chicken was good, with the flavor of hot peppers but with no peppers visible. A large order of Cashew Chicken with extra cashews was nutty good. A large order of Shrimp Lo Mein featured slippery noodles and large shrimps. And a large order of Beef with Snow Peas & Mushrooms tasted very good. XXX-1/2 stars overall! read more

I don't know why this place doesn't get as much credit as it deserves. This place...I've been coming to this restaurant for the past 15 years and it has been consistent and full of flavor ever since I've taken my first bite. Ignore any negative review this fine establishment has taken. This place is a hidden gem hidden in the suburbs of where I grew up and I love every dish they make. The portions are massive and the prices are great. This is my third time of having food from Chop Chop Wok. First time was lunch, and we ate in the establishment, and then 2 orders for pick up. This evening we had Curry Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken, and they were both delicious. The chicken was so tender, and the whole meal was so flavorful. The lady behind the counter was very pleasant. Great customer service. This place is very close to my home, and I will definitely be going there often. Finding good Chinese food has been very hard here in Vegas. After 4 years of looking I think I have finally found my spot!!! We had the salt n pepper chicken (which was really good) the Mongolian beef, orange chicken and rice and house chow main. All of it was very good and big portions. We will definitely be back! This place is so f**king good. We really wanted good Chinese takeout and keep being disappointed. It seems like most places try to make up for terrible food by serving a lot of it. Here, they aren't trying to compensate for terrible dishes by making them fancy or serving large servings (although they are generous, it's not to overcome other shortcomings) Most notably, the crab ragoon. Where most places stuff it with heavy cream cheese and hope the cheese and fried dough carry the whole dish, here, it's actually prepared with depth of flavor and the filling is almost fluffy. We ordered "safe" dishes out of fear but knowing what we know now, I cannot wait to explore the rest of the menu. This is the neighborhood Chinese takeout out we all deserve. I've been to this establishment twice both times I encountered greasy food chop chop wok please stop using so much grease oil in your food.

Quite possibly the worst Chinese meal we've had in Vegas. General Tso and sesame chicken were very dry and tasted old. Egg roll was doughy inside and the fried rice was mushy. Crab ragoon was about 99% cream cheese. Complete waste. That is a 50 dollar mistake we'll never make again. It was horrible. read more

HOWEVER the reason it got 4 stars (I would do 3 but that was too low cause the food was so good) I got cashew chicken and there was like no cashews and hardly any chicken. While it was good, it was highly disappointing to not find cashews and chicken in cashew chicken. Additionally, they require new customers to pay over the phone but when I said I didn't feel comfortable with giving my card over the phone, they told me they can't do my order then until I got there. When I spoke with the manager, he said that it's fine and I can pay in person if I came now, but it wasn't done when I got there. So that was frustrating and misleading. I love a good take out restaurant and Chop Chop is the newest one we have discovered that checks all the boxes. When it comes to the actual restaurant itself, there isn't a lot of flash to it, and they have very limited seating at the actual physical location. So take that into consideration and maybe opt for the to go side of things. My go to order here is the family combo B which includes: 2 soups, 2 appetizer specials (a fried shrimp, an egg roll, and a chicken skewer each) 2 entrees, and a shrimp fried rice. It's a hefty amount of food that we always have leftovers from for a very reasonable price. Our order is typically $40 all in with tax and tip. The employees are always very friendly and easy to talk to if our order is. It ready when we arrive. The orange chicken and broccoli beef are the entrees we have found we enjoy the most. Chop chop always meant "Hurry your ass up, slowpoke!" followed by the clapping of hands by an impatient parent. I rushed over to Chop Chop Wok for some takeout and my order came out of the kitchen in no time, as expected. Chicken egg foo young ($9 small, $11 large) is a wise choice and comes with a generous amount of brown gravy to pour on top of rice. This is a very filling meal by itself. Mongolian beef ($10 small, $13 large) also tasted good, though some of the bites were a bit chewy. Moo Goo Gai Pan ($9) means 'mushroom chicken slices' in Cantonese and is a healthier meal made with stir-fried vegetables, a thick sauce, and their outstanding breast meat. Curry Chicken ($9) is a worthwhile choice that's not often thought of as a Chinese specialty, but good over steamed rice. Chicken Chow Fun ($9) has flat rice noodles, grilled onions, green onions, and bean sprouts...I like their version. Lunch specials ($8.25) include an entree plus fried rice, soup, and egg roll. The egg roll isn't exciting and the egg drop soup is a bit gelatinous, so I usually opt for just a full sized entree. The menu champion at Chop Chop Wok is anything with chicken in it that hasn't been deep-fried because they velvetize their chicken. Velveting is a Chinese cooking technique that coats thin pieces of meat with seasoned cornstarch resulting in textured slices that don't dry out, and this restaurant does it expertly. The phrase 'chop chop' was actually coined by the British long ago in China and the word 'chopsticks' morphed from that. Chinese chefs would cut meat into small pieces to cook quicker so that knives and forks were not needed at the table, thus chopsticks were invented. If you're anywhere near the West Cheyenne exit on 95, Chop Chop Wok will put together a nice meal for you and will probably do so rapidly. read more
