Fell in love with the Sherman location and seen there was one in the colony! Got the vegetable fried rice with a side of Mongolian sauce to mix together... so so spicy but so so good. My only request is they add vegetable spring rolls!! read more

Their lights don't work in the drive-thru, they are slow to come to the window but hey, that didn't stop us from waiting around for some Chinese food. We got a lunch portion of shrimp fried rice and dinner portion of Honey Walnut chicken. Both were huge portions, enough for 4 people. The shrimp fried rice was light on the shrimp, next time I'll skip the upcharge for it. The honey walnut chicken was pretty decent, not the tenderest of chicken but the sauce was great and included plenty of walnut halves that were crunchy and sweet. I've loved wok express from the moment it opened years ago. It was always really fresh and hearty. They would deliver coupons, have fresh and ready side items and were always very friendly. I have a feeling that the prices may have gone up. The portion sizes used to be so large, they have cut back on that. I also noticed that my entrée had lots and lots of veggies, especially the onions, but not a lot of chicken. I was very disappointed when I opened up my tray. The fried rice was pretty good, and the girl excise have a lot of flavor. I also ordered the hot and sour soup which is my favorite did have a lot of vegetables inside. Usually comes with a pretty good serving of mushrooms and bamboo shades and lots of other goodies. It was kind of sparse. I will continue to enjoy wok express, maybe it was an off day. read more

The food is pretty good. Unfortunately the owners do not care to provide their customers with what they've asked for. We specifically order Orange Chicken with the sauce on the side and with extra sauce. Sauce on the side IS an option on their ordering site. Extra sauce - if it is there somewhere, it's not with the "extras that cost money" so I've always written in "extra sauce please." We've called to try to explain to them what we want so they will get it right next time. They just want to argue with us and tell us we're rude and that we don't know how to order right. I'm more than happy to pay $ .42 cents for extra sauce, but I'm not OK with restaurant owners being belligerent toward me when I get frustrated over them not making my order right over and over again. I ordered the orange chicken with no spicy, fried rice, and crab rangoons. The chicken had a few peices of broccoli with it that were cooked perfectly. I will probably try "little spicy" next time just to mix it up. The chicken tasted really good, and was moist and crispy. Rice was just standard fried rice nothing fancy. The crab rangoons were crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside, not too sweet good flavor. I love that they have a drive thru, its so convenient, I ordered delivery thru the website and it was fast but didn't give me an ETA so I was kind of in the dark. I eat A LOT of Chinese food. I LOVE Chinese food. I cook my own Chinese food on occasion. I'm a bit of a white boy Chinese food connoisseur. I have been here 8 times in the past 2 months. Between 3-close. Every time- The food has been MUTh@f$ck!%g DELICIOUS. Like linen table cloths restaurant quality good. So far there's been no wrong dish to order. I've tried the shrimp fried rice, the general tso's (both extra spicy and normal) the orange peel chicken (which finally prompted this review) the sesame chicken, the combination fried rice and the pad Thai and the fried dumplings. All of them were literally moan out loud and stare wide eyed at my dining partner trying to scream "THIS SHIT IS DELICIOUS" with a mouth full of food level of good. Even the eggrolls are good. And so often the eggrolls you get as a side at Chinese fast food/ delivery places are boring as hell. :cough coughPanda Expresscough cough: I'm looking at it right now (7/6/14) and the health rating was bumped to a B, but I see this same rating posted in a lot of restaurants in the colony. And- 8 times. I ain't dead yet. Haven't even gotten sick. The only negatives I've experienced here is when I came in about 20 minutes before close the kid at the register told me I wasn't allowed to eat in, had to get it to go. And, the one time I ordered it for delivery the flavors were somehow off- still good, but not as good. But they delivered to my apartment in Carrollton which is like 7 miles away. Jimmy John's down the street from me won't even do that. That's good customer service. What bugged me is that no one was eating inside, they didn't seem busy, but there were plenty of dirty tables around. Do not want. Now, for the actual food. The best way I can describe it is "meh." The broccoli beef was.. not good. (The beef sucked, but I ate the crap out of some broccoli.) The fried rice was super bland. The egg drop soup was pretty flavorless as well. The best part of my meal was the egg roll I ordered. My boyfriend ordered the.. phoenix and dragon? And he really enjoyed it. I used to like eating from Wok a few years ago but I think their quality (and quantity) of food has gone down. Usually, I ordered a combo lo-mein and it used to come with more noodles than rice and vegetables. Now, it's more vegetables versus the noodles. It's also very oily. As a frequent diner at this location, I'm disappointed to say we will no longer order from Wok Xpress. We ordered at the counter, the cashier repeated the correct order, the food came out and we head home. We start unloaded our food only to find they had gotten the order completely wrong. I call and a gentlemen said he did not know who we were or anything about our order. He put another man on the phone who was more familiar with our order. I explained what was wrong and he started yelling that he gave us what we ordered(he was the one who repeated out order out loud to us) than he hung up. Terrible customer service. read more
