These lovely 5 stars are going towards the phenomenal service we had during our visit to this location. Unfortunately, I didn't catch our waiters name but he had beautiful eyes that you can get lost in. Btw, no the stars aren't because he was good looking, it was because he truly was such a great waiter. Four adults, and two wild children. He was extremely patient with us, and when he would come to ask us if everything is good, he excused himself first and apologized for interrupting us if we were speaking/eating. Nobody does that anymore. SO many times they come up while you're stuffing your face and you can't even respond properly. That did not happen once here. Brought out trainers for the kids immediately along with sippy cups for their juice. Overall, he was a great help. The food, well, it's Wokcano so you know you're getting pretty decent sushi. My favorite by far here is the salmon truffle roll. The noodles aren't my favorite here, but I do enjoy the shishito peppers, and the spicy mayo that comes with the calamari is Bombay. read more

Food is good, I have been to this location before I believe is the manager who helped me today, not sure cause did not catch his name but he seems to be the only male at the front desk, but he needs to work on his people skills, I understand this are difficult times and he might be tired but he is rude, if he is dealing with costumers he needs to be more polite, I gave 2 stars because the food was good, we drove 30 miles to get our food and totally disappointed with his attitude.. Great Food! I especially recommend their Happy Hour, which includes all day Sunday and Monday (holidays excluded) when seated in bar area. They have a wide variety of sushi and the 4 or 5 my party tried were all very fresh and tasty. I liked their wonton soup and California Roll...I'm not very adventurous! The Edamame with Garlic was outstanding, not too garlicky but just right. Bar drinks are exotic and good. Husband got a Blushing Geisha drink and bartender made it a little drier at hubby's description of what he likes. It was great. Daughter and I wanted to share a drink and were very pleasantly surprised they brought it in two glasses. It's a little pricy here but food is excellent! read more

We went here for lunch after not being in for three years. Our food was shockingly bad. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day. However, the table, chairs plates and napkins were all dirty. The table had a literal dirt film on it. I cleaned it with my napkin. When we were brought our drinks our glasses were even dirty. We requested to have the umbrella open (it had to be moved a few feet) like the other table with customers and were told sure no problem. Never happened. I am absolutely positive we will never set foot in here again. Wow. PS They up charge you for a tuna roll if it isn't spicy. Had a dish of the white fish and asparagus... and water Came home, 4 hours later throwing up and again and again till 3am. We called and with their expert opinion says it wasn't food poisoning because that occurs in 8 hours!! My husband made us reservations to Wokcano on Thursday for Saturday night at 6pm. We arrived early (around 5:30) and they said it might be a bit of a wait since we were early (which we expected). They sat us down less than 10 minutes later and our waiter was at our table almost immediately after! It was amazing! My husband got a Sapporo (which was HUGE and only $10) and I got a drink (which I could only drink half of because it was stronger than I anticipated) and we got the "Love Boat for 2" meal, with Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna as an appetizer. The meal comes with miso soup and salad for both people (the miso is amazing and the salad has a dressing that is to die for!). There was so much sushi and the appetizer was a generous portion. The vibe created by the staff from the managers, to the servers, to the bartenders! Devin makes a bomb Japanese Old Fashion, perfect combination of ingredients, and he's consistent! Service is fast enough, food is on point. Spicy Seafood Soup is my new favorite. And they are open until 2 every night... In Santa Clarita, many places close at 10 or midnight. Had an awful experience at Wokcano Valencia tonight. I'm visiting my home town from out of state, and we decide Wokcano is the place to go. 7 friends and I are seated and treated well by the wait staff for the most part, and all of us are carded for the drinks we order. The youngest among us is 24 years old, so it's understandable that we were carded. A while later another couple of my friends join us, one of them is a 26 year old veteran with a military ID. He is carded, and the waiter takes a long look at his ID, and then without saying a word, disappears from the table with it. This is a huge red flag for us, since our friend has secret clearance for his job and his ID being compromised could cost him his career. After an uncomfortable amount of time the waiter, who was admittedly just doing his due diligence, emerges with the manager. A tall, light haired, bearded man approaches my friend and then accuses him of having a fake ID. Before my friend can explain the situation, he says "We won't be serving you tonight." My friend then tries to present another valid identification, to which to manager relays his earlier statement and then walks away. I chimed in as he was walking away, and in so many words, told him he was in the wrong. He then told our party of 10 to pay our tab immediately and leave. Which we did, without argument. On the way out I commented that he should learn what a military ID looks like, to which he replied, exasperatedly, "IT'S A FAKE ID!" In unison, our entire replied "It's not fake!" He then finally allowed my friend to explain the situation, to which he replied "We don't take out of state IDs." 3 people at the table had Arizona IDs. THERE WAS A HAIR IN MY FOOD. so let's start with the good : the wait time was only 20 minutes in a Saturday night. And it's not like it was empty there was a decent amount of people. The server was polite and waited us on a timely manner and didn't badger us. The amount of food that you get is a lot when you order like the noodles or rice plates or the meat plates. The bad: if you get a meat plate it doesn't come with rice. That's extra. Which I find stupid. The. The prices it was $50.26 for 2 plates of food and one appetizer. And then... the hair. I order the pad Thai. And when I went to take my second bite I saw that on one of my shrimps was a black hair. I told the server and he had my food remade. After driving from San Francisco, down highway 5 bumper to bumper The day after Thanksgiving, a dear friend of mine highly recommended wokcano to us. We were thrilled to have a destination and an Asian fushion at that. Sounded delicious. We walked in after the zillion hour hwy 5 drive, in bumper to bumper holiday traffic for hours, to a much anticipated meal. I had to plug into my phone to get us to the final 1 hour drive to get directions home. The manager came over and said to me " we just can't let you plug in your phones due to " insurance reasons". Coming in the door, the customer service was truly off putting, left, and never went back. It's a shame because there are plenty of restaurants in the area where the food is delicious and that's that. Will never go back. Basically the food, and customer service is everything. Shame because that could've been a destination, where we drive many times a year, from LA and San Francisco and San Francisco and back every year. read more

Didn't ask us if we needed drinks until 23 minutes after we sat down. If she was swamped that would be different but she was just busy at the register checking tips.
