I was in the area and had a craving for Wokcano. Stopped in around 4pm on a weekday and it was Happy Hour. It was meant to be. I was kindly greeted and seated at my table, I ordered right away. The vibe was chill, a FIFA soccer game was on and I had one of the best seats in the house. My total cost for lunch was about $35 without tip for 4 food items and a beer. I think I found a new spot to add to the roaster. Thanks Jaime for the suggestions on the menu and the hospitality.

A more accurate rating would be 3.5 stars; Wokcano was fine for a quick late-night dinner, but the food was just okay and there was nothing that really stood out to me in my first visit. I probably wouldn't feel too inclined to go back. We had the Orange Crispy Chicken and added the complete dinner, which included salad, soup, and rice for an additional $6. The hot & sour soup was bitter and bland, but I did enjoy the house salad which had a creamy sesame dressing. The chicken was alright and I've definitely had much better orange chicken at other restaurants. I loved the crab wontons though! Service was good and the restaurant itself had a beautiful ambience, but again, I don't think I'd come back because the food was not that great.

My wife and I came here last night to grab dinner, Wokcano is one of my favorite place to go eat at but I haven't been to one in a while and it was my first time at this location. We also brought our baby daughter with us. It didn't take long for us to get seated near the sushi chef area. Our waitress was Natalie and she came to get our drinks and appetizers orders first. We just got soda and my wife wanted her spicy garlic edamame. She brought our drink and edamame quick. My wife ordered the Salmon and made it into a dinner meal so it would come with miso soup, salad and brown rice. I got the Mongolian beef and asked for Jasmine rice. Our food took some time to come out, the miso soup and salad came out quick. My wife like the soup but not the salad, I tried it too and they just drenched it with dressing so not good. This was when Natalie went to refill my wife drink and when she came back, it didn't taste like a coke. I tooked multiple attempts to flag her down and she didn't believe me at first that the coke tasted weird. So she didn't even take it and said she'll bring a new one and I also asked for a refill on mine. She came back and said the people in the back is replacing the coke tank since it's emptied. My Mongolian beef was delicious and they were generous with the portion. I loved my dish, my wife salmon also came out but she didn't really like. Natalie came back with just one coke but forgot my refill. The coke she brought was flat so not good. We decided to not even bother anymore. She disappeared again until I flagged her down with another waiter help to asked for the check and boxes. The customer service here was bad and where they sat us, was smokey from the sushi chef area.

Food: during happy out had a few appetizers and sushi rolls. Rice to fish ratio was decent. Flavors were good. Not amazing but decent for price point Drinks: cocktails were crafted well. Good drink up alcohol ration Ambiance: lively in a Friday night. Happy hour vibes Service: it was decent. They delayed a few entrees and when we reminded them they said their system had gone down. Overall impression: would come again for a happy hour

This is still my favorite. I have yet to have a bad experience so I will continue to visit. The servers are always friendly, the food never takes too long, and it's always busy. These are my go to

The food was AMAZING! Super flavorful, nice portions, and really filling. Leaves you with the kind of full that doesn't feel disgusting, what a relief. Our server was nice and brought out our food in a timely fashion. We dined in during the day, there was plenty of natural light coming into the restaurant. It felt very serene eating here, not noisy either. Would definitely come again!

With kids growing up and families moving further away, it just gets harder to bring everyone together for the holidays. This year I was able to find a small window where most were available to make the drive to come together. So as our Christmas gift to the family, the husband and I decided to take everyone to Wokano. We reserved 3 weeks ahead and requested the room in the back. Although this was accommodated, they didn't appear to be staffed properly. Our server was Salyna who let us know as we got seated that she was also taking care of the bar. She handled our orders well enough and the food was great. However, drink refills had to be requested and came out quite slow. The table was not cleared as we transitioned from the appetizers to the main dishes. This was family style dining. The food runners would push the empty appetizer and sushi plates over as they placed the large bowls of entrees on the table. At one point a small bowl of tentsuyu from the tempura appetizers was knocked over and ran down the table to my little niece's Christmas sweater. The food runner apologized and said he would bring over some extra napkins -- he never did so her Mom just took her to the restroom. That was when I got up and started clearing the table myself. My family joked that they would make sure to tip me well. :) Overall we appreciated that Salyna did her best. She simply needed more support. Note to the restaurant -- the pleather on several of the seats are either partially or completely peeled off. Despite the mishaps and mediocre service, my family had a wonderfully happy time together. I am so very blessed to have been able gather everyone in one place. We hope to be able to do this again. I'm just not sure it will be at Wokano.

We celebrate every important occasion at Wokcano. We are always satisfied with the quality of the food, but not always with the quality of the service. Often the dishes are not clean enough or are chipped, but damn it -- thanks to their food, we turn a blind eye to everything else

Came here for an early dinner. We tried the spicy shrimp plate and pad Thai. For $6 more you can turn each plate into a dinner which includes either hot & sour soup or miso soup, white or brown rice, and salad which is a pretty good deal. The portions were definitely shareable. The miso soup was tasty I just wish the serving included less seaweed. The spicy shrimp was a 2/5 in heat level but the flavor was very good! The pad Thai was also a good choice and it came with chicken and shrimp. The reason for my four stars was because halfway through my visit I noticed the water I was drinking had an onion in the water that wasn't mine.

For years, this place continues to have one of the best happy hour menus in Santa Clarita. The calamari surprisingly was cooked well, not overly chewy with a pretty light batter. Baked crab handrolls were packed with creamy immitation crab. The smoky sunset roll had a good proportion of salmon to cream cheese with a thin outside batter. The portion of spicy tuna crispy rice is so good for the amount they give. My only complaint is that most if not all of the happy hour menu items are fried or contain fried items. Still tasty and craveable, albeit kinda heavy. Food came out quick on a Tuesday afternoon. Friendly and attentive service from the bar. Slightly dated interior but I'm not complaining.
