I got bids from other companies/contractors and I chose to go with Glassic due because he and his business partner Farshad (from a company called Hero Builder) seemed promising. We got the following work done from them - Remodeled 3 bathrooms - Installed hardwood flooring on the bottom floor - Painting - Removal of popcorn ceiling - Addition/moving of a couple windows - Replacement of all doors - A few other relatively minor updates Overall, we are very satisfied with the work that was done. The only things I wish went differently were the pace at which the work was delivered, as it took them a couple months more than estimated, and the finishing of tiling work and painting wasn't the finest. But keeping these two things aside, I was very pleased by my choice of going with Glassic. Mehdi is an awesome guy who will sometimes go above and beyond to make his customer happy. He works methodically, use high quality material and tools, cleans up at the end of each day. He did everything he said he would and more. As an example, he installed two windows and we later changed our mind and wanted them installed differently. He said no problem, smiled, took them out without hesitation and reinstalled them. It took him a few hours, but he wanted to make sure we're 100% satisfied. We also found some unrelated siding issues while he was working at our house and he was willing to take on that project to help us out. Should you hire Glassic? If you're looking for high quality work, willing to pay for it (he isn't the cheapest), and OK with the work taking s bit longer - go with Glassic!! Medhi does the work by himself with one additional worker, so you're dealing with one person from start to finish. He would install any brand and model of Windows you want (If you want something specific, it's mostly up to you do the research, but he's flexible and go with your choice). Alternatively, you can go to with a big company with many vans and installers. It will go faster (but not necessarily cheaper), and you might be limited in what brand of Windows to go with. The person who'll give you a quote won't be the person doing the work. There will be multiple installers working in parallel, so faster but lower quality control. UPDATE: Three years on and I can no longer say LYD's work was completely satisfactory. A few months…read moreafter the renovation we had a sewage-like odor in our bathroom. We thought maybe it was the toilet. We bought a new toilet and had it professionally installed. The plumbers didn't notice anything wrong with the waste pipe connection. For three total years the smell persisted. Finally we hired more plumbers specifically to diagnose this issue. They blew smoke down the vent pipe on our roof and the whole house immediately filled with smoke, indicating a major hole somewhere. They opened up the bathroom drywall while we watched and we all let out a collective gasp when we saw the issue (see picture). Seemingly one of the original workers sawed through the internal vent pipe from the sink leading to the vent stack and either didn't notice or covered it up. We have had no work done to that wall since LYD's work. We also have pictures of the fully opened wall as LYD was starting work and the pipe does not appear cut in the photos. So we feel confident saying this issue was caused by LYD.

Used him again for a different kind of job - replacing an in-wall air-conditioner. He was very good…read moreat responding to text messages, worked us in quickly, and was flexible when Home Depot delayed our order. He was also very good at fitting the new AC into the space for the old one and ensuring it was sealed and weather proofed. However, when he finished the work, he left large boxes and packing materials scattered where he opened them and filling our kitchen floor and on the dining room table. He didn't do anything to organize the mess or break down the boxes. He said most of it was recyclable and he wouldn't do anything with it. Left us to clean up after he left and figure out how to manage and get rid of these large heavy boxes. Additionally, he had put the old AC on our deck. We asked if he would recycle the old AC and he agreed - charging us an additional $200 to take it. When he put it on our deck, it left piles of black (not sure what) that we had to clean after he left. Additionally, I had purchased a new bracket to support the new air-conditioner. He decided without consulting me to use the old bracket instead. (Hopefully it last for the long run!)

I explained to Drew that they would be remodeling the bathroom with our only shower, and he was sure to squeeze us in in order to expedite the process. Overall the project was well managed - because we were out our shower, Drew was focused on getting us a shower as quick as possible, something my wife certainly appreciated! The team, including all of the sub-contractors that Drew brought in were skilled at their job and friendly. The bathroom looks great - it is honestly the nicest looking room in our house now. I don't know how or why he came to that conclusion in our brief phone conversation, but I told him I wasn't looking for the "cheapest", I was looking for the best solution. He scheduled a visit and did some measurements and we discussed possible options. I also let him know I was interested in kitchen redesign so that I could have a bigger fridge but he didn't seem interested and just went back to the powder room. When he was done, he said it would take about two weeks for a quote but I may need to reach out to him again. I asked if he had a card and he said no, then left. That was on June 11 and now it's July 28. If a business wants my business, they would send a quote. Maybe my little job isn't worth their time because business is booming, who knows. When your gut tells you they aren't interested, listen to your gut.
