Wolf's Head Burger House is a burger cart located at BGs Food Cartel. We visited on a Monday for lunch and it wasn't very busy at all. My burger took about 10 minutes to prepare. Double Deluxe ($12) - This is a simple two smashpatty burger with onions, pickles, American cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and sauce. The patties aren't super smashed, probably still being around pencil thin in thickness. They still have a good amount of char especially around the outer edges, creating a caramelized meatiness and charred crispiness. They aren't dried out as some smash patties get, and they still have a good meaty and very black pepper forward flavor. I think the cook was a too rough on one end of the patties, causing the burger to fall apart. It's not great service to give out a patty where a large chunk has separated from the main body. The burger has more than enough moisture and texture from the fresh veggies and sauce, and a good amount of pickle acidity to balance the fat. The main issue I have with the burger is the bun. While it's lightly toasted, the bottom bun slice in particular is completely soaked through, most likely a result of the chopped onions not being drained properly. A soggy bun is not fun to eat. Other than that, the burger is pretty tasty and well balanced. (3/5) Wolf's Head Burger House serves a decent smash burger that's marred by technical flaws. While I'm not sure it deserves their current rating of 2.9 (too low), I personally wouldn't return. read more

If you're craving a classic smash burger, this place does it right. The meat tastes good, and we love their ranch. We usually get a combo with curly fries & ranch. A go-to when we're in the mood for smash burgers. Everyone has always been friendly when serving us. Located in a food truck plaza with plenty of seating that's relatively clean. I tried the double burger. It was good, though nothing amazing. Next time, I'm definitely getting the Double Deluxe. It's worth the extra dollar for the lettuce and tomatoes. Without them, the burger felt a bit too heavy and plain. The fries were just okay. I might try the Deluxe Fries next time. Customer service was fine. Not overly friendly, but not rude either. I appreciated that there was no line when I went. Parking can be a bit of a hassle since it's street parking only, so be ready to circle around a bit. read more

Lately I was really in the mood for a burger, so I looked on google for the latest and greatest burgers in beaverton, and Wolf's head came up on multiple lists. So, I drove to the food cart park to see if the hype was real. Their wooden sign was weathered so badly that I couldn't really read the name, but from the online photo I could tell this was the place. I went to the counter and placed my order, and the staff said it would be about a 5 minute wait. At first glance, the burger looked a bit underwhelming. I got a deluxe burger and it came in a small plastic container. When I opened it, I saw a neatly wrapped burger waiting for me. It's not until I took off the wrapper that I realized how generous the portion was. Two extra large smashed patties were stacked on each other, together they looked oversized compare to the bun. The flavor was good. The patties, melted cheese, and fresh vegetable toppings made the burger very enjoyable. Personally, I think $14 is a bit expensive for one double burger, but then when I look around the park, everything was roughly in the same price range. So I guess that is just how it is nowadays. The only thing I've ever gotten from this restaurant has been the deluxe fries. You can tell that they are so unhealthy for you, but it does taste pretty good honestly . Usually whenever I come to this food cart, whoever is running it usually never has a good attitude to be honest. Do I come to the food car for customer service? No, I come for food, but it would be nice. I have visited this food card on several occasions where yelp and Google has said that they are open and they were indeed close. Overall, my experience with this food car would be ranked as a four out of 10 and the only reason they get a force because the fries are decent. read more

Salty, bland, not what I ordered and a less than friendly staff. A real shame this is the burger option at an otherwise great cart pod in Beaverton. I'll admit that I'm new to this whole smash burger thing. But by any measure the Deluxe here is an exceptional burger. This was my second time here. They get a amazing crusty sear on the patties that adds an intense beefyness. The melted American cheese makes it feel luxuriousness. The pickles, lettuce and perfectly ripe tomatoes just elevate this burger to way above your typical burger. The staff is super friendly and the service has always been fast. This was the most pathetic and disgusting food I have ever eaten. Ordered the single cheese burger and chili cheese fries. Burger was nothing more then bun, thin hamburger patty, cheese and bun. No flavor at all. *there was some weird sauce on it as well* fries were soggy and the "chili" was super gross. I think that was supposed to be meat? Was 10x worse than taco bell. Mushy, mealy and nasty. Not a crisp french fry to be found. Soggy mushy waste of money. In times like these where everything is so over priced this place should be ashamed charging for garbage like this. read more

Came here today (Thursday) at 11am. Sign said OPEN and you could see the back door ajar but no one was there. I waited for over 20 mins (11:22am now) and still no one arrived. It sucks because I have family visiting and we wanted to try this out based on a recommendation. It's slightly unnerving to trust food from a place that kinda seems irresponsible. Don't go here, the guy working the counter was not a nice person. We were giving him our order, and we asked if we could get a extra patty and a fried egg (which are on the menu under "add ons"), but on the side so our doggy who came with us for a fun Sunday lunch date, could have a nice treat too while we ate our burgers. The guy working the counter then told us he had no way to put an "extra patty" and a "fried egg" on our order.....even tho it's exactly that on the "add ons" menu. (See pic of their menu). We asked "but it on the menu"?... he looked at us and said "no he can't do it". We said why? We will pay what we need to pay to get our dog a nice treat. He looked at us and simply said "because our food is human food NOT dog food". We tell him um...."but we are paying for it, what is the problem"? (Trust and believe we were spoiling our dog to get him such a yummy treat lol). But "NO", he said. He won't let us order him food. I then said "we can buy him a full burger then", but he said again "NO, our dog is human food NOT dog food". So ya. We said ok Never mind, and left, and went to an awesome different food truck a couple doors down who were more than happy to provide bacon for our pup!! :) oh and also fyi...this food truck area is all about dogs, but they must be on leashes. They even have a couple doggy potty areas, water etc, they are very welcome here. So I end this in this....the guy working the counter was either A. Really hates dogs. Or B.Was judgmental of us as people...for one way or another.. Or C. Hugely offended that we wanted to give our dog a yummy treat that he cooked up. What else could it be? :( I have no clue. Anyways. Really tasty burgers here. I got a double with bacon and everything was bursting with flavor. Might need to get the deluxe next time for some vegetables to fight all that fat. The tots were ok, it's a good portion size, but we thought they were a little over seasoned. read more

Finally got to try the burgers. I was a big fan of their BBQ (burnt ends), and every time I came to the cartel they were sold out or closed. I ordered the chili cheese burger, which was fantastic. I was worried it would be too runny and create a soggy mess by the time I got it home but it stood up! The balance of cheese to chili to burger was perfect. The flavors were indulging, just as I hoped. Side of tots were a must to add to the food high. Looking forward to trying the cowboy. P.S. Noticed some reviews were coming from some "special" orderers, I would suggest giving them a try. A menu is created for a reason, the chefs figured out what tastes best, trust that. read more

You get what you pay for. I got a single smash burger. It was just whatever. Kinda dry. Had potential but needed a bit more toppings to pull it off. I think add-ons are an option. Probably should have done that bc ordering as is was disappointing. read more

This place was great! I really loved their smash burgers and the service was really fast. I will say though, the chili cheese tots left a lot to be desired. The tots didn't have enough structural integrity for all the wetness and the chili itself wasn't very good. So I'd forego those and double up on burgers! Super good! read more

I ordered a double with no onions add lettuce and bacon. The guy working there at (3/7/2023 5pm) was expressively upset. His demeaner was that of an enreanged employee that does not like customers. I was with my lady friend and this was her first time at bg's. He also cleaned his finger tips with a dirty rag on the counter. But my order had already been taken. I noticed burger sauce after and I placed the order and talked to him about it asking if it had relish in it and he again was expressing a major lack of desire even answering that question... Like I don't expect happy cheery kiss my ass attitude but at least be cordial. The problem was the onions I always ask for no onions they're the one thing I can't scrape off a burger. I like the flavor of pickles but I take them off before I actually eat the burger... I know this is getting to be too weird too much... But I hurry it along here.. When I went to remove the pickles I found the onions are smashed into the burger patty I tried to scrape them off so I didn't have to go back and then found they were in between the patties too.. Now don't get me wrong that's probably super delicious for someone else but I can't handle the onions like that man... So I take the burger back and the guy is giving me grief.. At first he tried telling me that I didn't order it without onions when I know for sure I did. He's being super confrontational... Then he grabs the burger I handed him doesn't have any bites out of it. And he asks me if I took a bite out of it or just tore it apart which is when I explained the pickle flavor/removal process I do with my burgers.. Bc I like the flavor but not the crunxh of the pickle... He looks like he wanted to just reassemble my burger and give it back to me then he's angry about the fact that I took it apart like idk what he was thinking of doing reselling it or eating it himself? Idk super weird that he wanted to know the implied consumability of the returned product. When it was clearly just the onions that I didn't ask for... He frustratedly threw the burger away in like a hissy fit and said it would be 5min for my burger then he never spoke to me again when the burger was ready he put it outside the window gestured me to pick it up then closed the window. Idk if this was just a bad day or what.. But you don't accuse the customer of ordering wrong and you don't display poor hygiene and you do t be rude to customers.. I can tell this guy either didn't want to be there or didn't value business... Seemed like an employee and not an owner.. Idk if I can ever go back here again with one exception... The burger tasted really fn good.. Even though I questioned if he spit in it with how angry we was at life I ate it. And it was delicious... Side note he also didn't put pickles into the second burger despite me explaining how I found the onions and do like pickle flavor... I went to remove the pickles and they weren't there. He slammed our buzzers down with an attitude and when I pressed no tip he made a slick comment saying "wow all of you huh?" because we didn't tip him. Do not order through any food delivery. I have order 3 times and each time it is cancelled at the last minute. Today I had it set to deliver at 5 pm and at 5:30 was alerted Wolf's head cancelled, again. Been dying for a smash burger but unfortunately will have to find a good one somewhere else.
