Lately I was really in the mood for a burger, so I looked on google for the latest and greatest burgers in beaverton, and Wolf's head came up on multiple lists. So, I drove to the food cart park to see if the hype was real. Their wooden sign was weathered so badly that I couldn't really read the name, but from the online photo I could tell this was the place. I went to the counter and placed my order, and the staff said it would be about a 5 minute wait. At first glance, the burger looked a bit underwhelming. I got a deluxe burger and it came in a small plastic container. When I opened it, I saw a neatly wrapped burger waiting for me. It's not until I took off the wrapper that I realized how generous the portion was. Two extra large smashed patties were stacked on each other, together they looked oversized compare to the bun. The flavor was good. The patties, melted cheese, and fresh vegetable toppings made the burger very enjoyable. Personally, I think $14 is a bit expensive for one double burger, but then when I look around the park, everything was roughly in the same price range. So I guess that is just how it is nowadays. Overall, it was a good burger.

I'll admit that I'm new to this whole smash burger thing. But by any measure the Deluxe here is an exceptional burger. This was my second time here. They get a amazing crusty sear on the patties that adds an intense beefyness. The melted American cheese makes it feel luxuriousness. The pickles, lettuce and perfectly ripe tomatoes just elevate this burger to way above your typical burger. The staff is super friendly and the service has always been fast. I will be back!

Before Facebook could refresh the screen, I was sure too quickly Google search the brewery. I went onto their website as I was eager to get my hands on a case. I reached out and was immediately contacted by Tav at Binary Brewing. He put me in contact with his guy Josh, who was working with their distributor to deliver this particular beer down to southern Oregon so my parents could pick it up for me. The distributor had issues getting the case down, but the folks at Binary Brewing kept in contact with me and continued to attempt delivery. After a second failed attempt by their distributor, Josh stepped up and delivered it down to Beerworks in Medford himself. I was able to enjoy the beer right as the newest book was released. I'm look forward to making my way up to Beaverton at some point and thank them both in person. Cheers to Tav, Josh & Binary Brewing, Co.

There are a variety of beers to suit different tastes and you can always do a flight of 5 if you can't decide. I liked their Saison. I feel like they have quite a variety of events too, from drink/draw, D&D and Magic. They also tend to be quieter than the other breweries near by which is a plus for me. Food is run by Teriyaki Moto which has a great cole slaw and an impossible burger!

For the past few months or possibly more, there is a server/closing-manager (male Caucasian, glasses, ponytail) who only reluctantly provides the HH menu. About two months ago, I asked when HH started, and he said in 7 minutes (i.e., it was 9:53pm). I asked how much I'd save on the beer I was contemplating if I waited for 7 minutes, and he said a dollar or two, so I told him I'd wait until then to place my order. It seemed like a pretty light day, yet he took a full 20+ minutes to come take our order -- it felt like he was punishing me. Last night, it was 10:10pm and I asked if there was a HH menu. He said "not yet." I thought he meant that they hadn't yet been published, but when I went to the bar to say hi to someone I know, I saw a HH menu already on the bar. I'd already ordered off the regular menu, and chose to not change to something on the HH hour just to avoid the conflict. I have no idea what is inspiring this behavior. Perhaps people who order off HH menus don't tip well? In any case, this new HH attitude has definitely dampened my enthusiasm for Fireside. Which is sad since it still has a great tap list and menu.
