I went to Wolfchase Honda to look at a used 2003 V70 Volvo Wagon, advertised online. It looked pretty good and the price was good. I told the sales people I would go get it checked out by a mechanic. They let me take the vehicle after filing out some paperwork. I spent $70 getting it checked out to find that it needed a $4,000 transmission and new motor mounts, and that it had been in a front-end collision. I wasted my time and money finding these things out. Things that would have been obvious to any mechanic (including Wolfchase Honda). Wolfcase Honda's response after I brought it back was that it was headed to auction anyways and was going to be sold "as is." To top it off, they didn't even want to give me a copy of the paperwork saying that I returned the car. They told me it was "OK". When I told them that I would not be back they didn't seem to care at all! read more

Terrible service department. I've come multiple times over the past year for different reason of service, but every time I've received terrible service. The first time we got service for my 2006 Honda Civic, we dropped it off at 7am, and they didn't even start working on it until 4pm only the realize they had bought the wrong part to fix the car with. Not to mention all the waiting that is involved with repairs, oil changes, etc.. Recently I needed to speak to the service manager in regards to a paint issue that the service advisors couldn't help with. I waited 45 minutes to speak to the service manager, only to tell me that he couldn't help me. They also have expensive oil changes. $45 there. I can get a $25 oil change in St. Louis. I won't be back. Good luck to you. Maybe they'll get better. read more

My senior citizen mother brought my vehicle in to Wolfchase Honda Service Dept. for minor repair work and during check out the service representative dropped the key FOB on the floor. My mother was walked to the vehicle and the representative left and she discovered that the key FOB was damaged and missing component pieces. Upon returning to the service representative she informed him of the damage to the key FOB. The manager was involved and essentially her integrity was questioned. They did not believe the damage took place. They thought the FOB was already damaged when she brought the vehicle in, and they were unwilling to do anything about it. We were only offered the option of paying $75 for a replacement FOB - even thought THEY broke it. Ultimately they found the missing pieces on the floor and the service Rep. hastily patched it together with tape so that it could be salvaged, leaving me with a mess. It was a time-consuming waste of time that could have been easily and properly addressed with simple, benchmark customer service remedies. Perhaps offering to replace the broken FOB or at least offering a replacement at a discount to cover the dealerships cost. They did none of that. Instead they condescendingly questioned the integrity of a 70+ year old woman. read more

This place is the pits! The service reps are rude and the management does not care! If you complain about long waits, high prices, or poor service, you will be labeled as the problem, not them. I understand that making money is the point of being in business, but it is not necessary to cheat people by overcharging them, making them wait for extended periods of time and treating them as if they are an inconvenience is absolutely not necessary! Wow what an amazing dealership! I contacted their sales department through the internet and their online sales, Maggie, contacted me and went above and beyond to get all the information about the vehicle I wanted and the best price possibly. She responded extremely fast and was very helpful and knowledgeable. She set us up with an appointment to meet with a sales person and see the vehicle in person, all the of details of the deal she offered us was in a folder ready to go. When we arrived we were pleasantly greated , not bombarded by sales people. We had a very pleasant and patient salesman, Reggie, he made sure we saw what we wanted and got all of our questions answered. They worked us an amazing deal. This was our first time buying a brand new car, we were nervous at first but everyone made the experience so easy and enjoyable. The manager Mr. Mack was wonderful as well. He helped seal the deal and treated us very well. Hondas are beyond amazing vehicles and with this quality of dealership it's a win win!! They are a must visit. read more

If there was one, I would nominate Wolfchase Honda for a HERO Award for properly diagnosing and fixing my daughter's car. My daughter's 2004 Honda had an unknown problem with her manuel transmission and we had the car towed to Gateway Tire. Gateway Tire attempted to take advantage of our daughter by grossly mis-diagnosing her transmission problem. Gateway quoted $1400 in repair costs. We were told the car needed a new slave cylinder and clutch kit with a 50/50 chance of also needing a fly wheel. Gateway Tire's customer service representative could not answer even basic questions about the diagnosis and refused access to the mechanic for more information. The customer service representative told us the mechanic would be offended by having to explain his diagnosis. We did not feel comfortable doing business with Gateway and had the car towed to Wolfchase Honda. The final bill from Wolfchase Honda to fix the problem was $75 to bleed air out of the clutch line. Thank you Wolfchase Honda for saving our daughter $1325! read more

Tonight I caught wind of a story from a friend of mine that went to Wolfchase this afternoon in order to get an oil change. After observing her car, one of the Wolfchase staff members informed my friend of a function within her car that was recently recalled. She obliged the staff member for this newly obtained information, and explained that although she could not receive a replacement for the part that was being recalled at that time due to a time crunch, she would return in about two weeks in order to have the part replaced. After declining the offer, the Wolfchase staff member proceeded to reprimand my friend by making her feel inferior. Speaking as an advocate for my friend, as well as for human decency in general, this behavior from the Wolfchase staff member is completely unacceptable. Just because someone does not willingly subject to your demands, especially when involving something as minor as a car part, does not give you any right to degrade a person by forcing your perceived superiority. Being it 2016, I would like to think that the entirety of our population understands the fact that no means no, even when it is regarding the rejection of automotive repair services. I am disappointed to know that this kind of behavior was exhibited in such a public function. read more

So, long story not-so-short... I'm in medical school and trying to minimize pretty much everything financially. After working full time......finances changed dramatically. I went to Wolfchase Honda about 1.5 years ago when I needed to reduce my payment. They did this for me even though (I just recently realized) it was not the best deal long-term. A few weeks ago, I received an email offer from Wolfchase Honda to trade in the car I had for a way better interest rate, and was aiming to get a better/same payment as well as better gas mileage. I did my research and contacted the dealership. The salesman who sold me the previous car (and my mother and sister a car as well) called me back. I gave him the specifications of the condition of my current car, the terms of the email offer and everything I hoped to achieve during the deal so I could find out what the chances were I could get what I was wanting before driving 300 miles there and back. There was a bit of delay in his responses throughout the day, but, in the end, he gave me the impression things would likely work out. (Keep reading....it gets better.) I drove the 2 hours over there, test drove a car, came back inside to look at the numbers and was shocked/insulted at the trade-in value of a car just 1.5 years old. The salesman knew I wasn't going to finance the amount of money needed to do the trade (and it was lunch time lol) so he shook my hand and essentially showed me to the door. It was obvious when he walked out with the summary that he wasn't interested in doing a deal. There was no exploration of other options, no attempted negotiation, no"let me see what I can do," etc. So, I was disappointed and frustrated, mostly because I tried so hard to avoid that exact situation (by calling beforehand). I wrote an email detailing what happened, sent it to the address that sent me the offer, and, in the midst of all that, happened to stumble across the reviews here on Yelp. I wrote a simple overview of what happened, thinking probably no one would ever read what I wrote (which had I known, I would have used slightly different wording lol). You can imagine my surprise when the general manager at Wolfchase Honda called me last week. He told me he read the post on Yelp, and then spoke with me extensively not only about the deal that didn't happen recently, but also the deal 1 1/2 years ago on the car I was currently looking to trade. He went way out of his way and spent a good deal of time talking with me and helping me understand what happened. He apologized for the situation, and explained how my car was appraised while still considering what I had to say. He even gave me advice on what to do in the future. I still expected nothing to come of it. Then he did what the salesman wasn't willing to do, and took the time to find out what my situation was, and what I was looking for and trying to accomplish. I ended up with a great deal on a new car!!! (Which I absolutely love and gets even better gas mileage than I thought I would get with the other car I was considering.) And, this time, I knew the exact terms. So, bottom line... I think most businesses/sales people today would just ignore what happened. What I respect the most is that the general manager at Wolfchase Honda had the integrity to address the situation, and make it right. Right now, I can't imagine ever owning another car, but, in the future, the first place I will go will be Wolfchase Honda. read more

Wow, what a shitty experience with wolfchase Honda in Memphis. I negotiate with their online sales rep for 2 days, get a OTD door price on an Odyssey LX for $26600 (including tax and all that) and we set an appointment to get the car today at 10:30 am. I even received a confirmation email to confirm the appointment. When I get there, the internet lady doesnt greet me but a salesman. He acts like there was no negotiation prior to my arriving and tells me the van is now $29000 OTD because it is JUNE 1, not MAY 31. That $29000 price was included my 2007 honda fit trade in for $2000! So they jacked the price up by $5000. I said that I'll buy it for the price quoted or walk out. He stood up and walked away. Really! I just walked out, called autonation385 in Memphis and emailed Wolfchase's internet quote. Within 5 minutes, the autonation385 manager agreed to sell me the same exact model for $200 less than the Wolfchase internet quote. So we drove over and bought the LX model for $26400 OTD. Wolfchase Honda of Memphis, your @%&*! manager couldn't even call me back. Tell him we bought one from Honda autonation385 of Memphis instead and they gladly beat your price by $200. Purchased my Odyssey six month ago. Was happy with the service and i was told that i could receive $100 if i refer someone. Luckily my brother was also looking for a car so i referred him. I referred him to the same saler at the dealership and her name is Taylor. My husband and i contacted her regarding the check and she agreed that she would get us the check, and of course told us to come by to get it. Came by twice but always give excuses and made me wait. Well i decided to be super patient the second time around and waited almost an hour. She finally showed up when i decided to leave. I purchased my 2003 Accord there and have had most of my maintenance done there over the years. The car is still running with nearly 250,000 miles on it. I like the fact that if you have to wait a couple of hours, you have magazines, phones, a TV, and free water & tea. Their driver will also take you wherever you want and pick you up when the car is ready. They're not the cheapest, but I've never had a problem with their repairs that required me to return. read more

I had an issue with my son's 2009 Honda Accord. He lives in Nashville and i told him to use a Nashville dealer to fix the problem. After about 4 months of monitoring the situation they came to the conclustion that a new engine was the solution. They had taken his engine apart and what they came up with was $6,000 plus price for a new engine. I called the Dealership and told them to get it put back together and i'll deal with it. Brought it back to Memphis and took it to Wolfchase Honda, where i had purchased it, and dealt with their service people including Lea Lawrence. They inspected it and came to me with a recommondation to replace parts in the Vtech and a price of under $300! I had the car back in less that 2 days and running beautifully. Wolfchase always does the maintenance on my 2008 Honda and do a terrific job. They are people you can trust! read more

I purchased a CPO 2017 Ridgeline Monday, Jan 15 from Wolfchase Honda so I am rating my experience. I initially found the Ridgeline on the internet Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018 and contacted Wolfchase Honda about availability as well as total sales price. Their internet representative (Carmen) confirmed it was available and worked with me to establish the total price that I could buy it for. I confirmed i would make the three hour trip the next day to buy the Ridgeline for cash with no trade-in and would arrive between 11 am - 12 (noon) due to snowy and icy roads. We discussed weather and road conditions and how more snow was forecast for Monday afternoon making it important the transaction go quickly so we could drive the 3 hours home before the snow made the roads dangerous. Carmen was friendly, helpful and even texted to confirm we were on our way Monday morning. I arrived at 11:30 am as scheduled. I was assigned a salesman (Jason) with whom I inspected the vehicle and took a test drive and confirmed I would buy it by 12:15 pm. Then everything went into SLOW motion. It took over 3 hours to sign the purchase documents and prep the truck. We waited for the financial guy (Reggie) to prepare docs and offer multiple warranties beyond the CPO warranties by Honda, then we waited and waited on the truck to be cleaned. Finally we had to abort the cleaning process half way through because the snow storm was coming as forecast! We had to drive the last 2 hours in a snow storm. What should have taken no more than 1.5 hours at Wolfchase took 4 hours causing us to drive in the dark in a snow storm. I would not recommend Wolfchase to friends or family to buy a car. The personnel are friendly but do not value the customer's time. They exhibit no sense of urgency knowing we had a three hour trip home with a snow storm approaching. read more

I cannot say enough good things about the service team here. Last Saturday around 3:00, we were driving from our hometown of Nashville to Memphis for an event. 45 miles outside of Memphis our 2011 Pilot began to shudder and lose power. Desperately I started to call dealerships to see if anyone would be willing to help us because if not, we would be stranded in Memphis for a few days. After being turned down by another Honda dealership, a technician at Wolfchase encouraged us to bring it by to see if there was anything they could do. We rolled in about 30 minutes before they closed. They quickly ran a diagnostic analysis and saw that it was related to a recall that would requite a software update to fix. The offered to fix it right then, even though that meant they would have to stay past close to fix it. While repairing that issue, they discovered another recall issue that needed to be fixed as well (the airbags), and corrected it. All in all, they stayed open 2 1/2 hours past closing, fixed our car with no cost to us, and they did so with the kindest attitude. Wow. It feels like this consideration has become a thing of the past, so it was so refreshing to meet the team that truly became heros to us. I have purchased several cars from this dealership. Something must have changed.... Went in to purchase a 2017 Honda Pilot and when salesman Ed Lee came back with their best deal with my trade i was shocked. First they added beginning price more than sticker, which i questioned... Looked at sticker on car and their price was more.... Then i saw what they offered on my trade..... $ 1000.00 for a 2001 Pontiac Trans Am Convertible with 83000 miles excellent condition..... Never in my day was i expecting that. Who ever is their used car man ought to be fired immediately !!!!!!! Took a long time customer and insulted me beyond anything i could imagine!!!!! this was not the fault of the sales person!!!! I will never set foot in their dealership again. I have 4 Honda Civic's that i get serviced their.....never never never again will i go there.......I will also post this on my facebook page for all my friends to see....The sales manager should loose his job also......... read more

SERVICE DEPT. . DO NOT USE HONDA WOLFCHASE SERVICE DEPT. We only go to them when warranty service is needed We bought a had a NEW 21012 Honda CR-V 4 years ago . We took the CR-V into Wolfchase Honda Service because the 3rd battery now has died. So we have had the vehicle for 4 years and it needs it's 4th battery. They say it is not under warranty because we are past the 36/36,000 warranty and I explained something is wrong because you do not go thru 4 batteries in 4 years. The service writer asked me what I wanted him to do and I said put a new battery in or find out why the batteries are going bad every year. ALSO, they never entered the last new battery they put in the vehicle in 2014 right before doing a recall on the alternator that obviously did not work since it killed another batter. So they only showed they replace the batter once in 2012 with only 6000 miles on the vehicle when they actually replace the batter in 2012 again in 2014 and now it is dead again and they refuse to do anything. Obviously something is wrong. 4 batteries in 4 years and they refuse to replace it or figure out why it is happening. read more

This is the absolute worst car buying experience I have EVER had. This car dealership lacks integrity and I would not recommend this dealership to anyone! After spending my Saturday in the showroom I was told "we are working things out". I wanted to lease a vehicle but was told that my credit score had to be 725 or higher (LIE #1). I finally go to the finance person William (Bill) Thomas and he attempted to sell me on a rate I was not pleased with. After haggling back and forth we (my husband and I) finally agreed. Mr. Thomas then attempted to tell me that I was required to purchase gap insurance (LIE #2). I knew better and explained that I was not interested and that I would not be paying for gap insurance. I finally signed the paperwork and was on my way(LIE #3). 8 DAYS after my purchase I received a call Mr. Thomas stating, "We need you to come back in to sign some more paperwork." I was confused and asked what he was speaking of. He then explained that the deal fell through and I would have to pay $200 MORE PER MONTH from the original payment I agreed to. Mr. Thomas' attitude was very rude and was not apologetic at all for my inconvenience. I explained that I wanted my car back and no longer wanted to deal with the dealership. If I could give ZERO stars I would. I always get routine service here because this is where I purchased my vehicle. Several months ago, I was told I needed a cabin air filter and new wiper blades. They were never changed or replaced and today they were in excellent condition per "multi-point inspection". Another time, I was told my battery was in excellent condition and a week later, my car was inoperable due to a dead battery. My next visit, I mentioned the previous issues to my service rep and also expressed that I feel that they cannot be trusted. I was reassured that I had nothing to worry about. Today, I requested an oil change and tire rotation. I was told that i needed a transmission flush, but a current recall was never mentioned. I happened to remember the recall and was told it would be taken care of. When my service was complete, I paid and went on my way. As I washed my car this evening, I noticed something about my tires, they were in the SAME position as they were when we my husband and I looked at them this morning and noticed how worn the front ones were!!! I hate being lied to and I KNOW that I cannot trust Wolfchase Honda any longer. I will be speaking to the service manager ASAP and not using them for ANY services, vehicle purchases, or recommendations in the future. They are essentially thieves and it makes me wonder what else they lie to consumers about. What a terrible place. SHAMEFUL!!! Forgot to add... I needed new batteries for both of my keys, paid for them to be changed during service appointment. The keys began to alert that the batteries were low not long after so at my next oil change I asked that they be looked at. The guy at the service desk opened them and said that the batteries had NEVER been changed and that they were the original batteries that came with the keys when I bought the car. Found a car on AutoTrader that they had on their used lot. Car was 1 year newer with less miles than all the others for the same money that I could find within 500 miles of my city. So the price was right! I sent an email after their business hours inquiring further about the car. Jason in their E-Sales Dept promptly called me back the next morning and jumped through some hoops for me and physically inspected the car for me for paint work and confirmed some options etc. He then offered a ride from the airport for me since I would be flying from Atlanta. I booked a flight that night and was in Memphis by 7:30 am next morning. I was picked up not long after the they opened. I was transferred from their E-Salesman to a traditional floor salesman named Brian. Brian went over the car with me and arranged for it to be brought into the service department at my request. I asked to have it put on lift so I could inspect the underside for leaks or damage. Everything checked out so I said I was prepared to move forward with the purchase. The car was sent back to the clean up dept. The transaction did take much longer than I had hoped because I was paying with a 3rd party check which is against their policy to take. There was some miscommunication up front on that. The GM called me, after the fact, to explain why things took so long and I then realized the hoops they jumped through behind the scenes to make the transaction happen. It was nice to have a GM who cares enough about customers experiences, to reach out to me and explain some things and to make sure I'm happy post sale. I'd do business with them again. read more
