Sadly, the owner of Nick's passed away and this company is now owned by Dunrite. I called that company based on the reviews of Nick's Air Services, but their services has definitely NOT been the same as mentioned on this profile. In summary, this company is expensive, can make improper recommendations, and the office is very difficult to get anyone to call you back. I absolutely would not use them again in the future and - had I read their Yelp profile for Dunrite Heating & Cooling - would never have called them in the first place. My experience: My air conditioning due to leaked refrigerant due to another HVAC technician not correct. Nick's/Dunrite came out during the same day and quickly identified the problem. There was a leak on the schrader valve. They got us back to running - for nearly $200/per pound of refrigerant. 5 lbs = about $1,000. Wow, but we had no choice as my original installer was not available. Our unit has not been keeping up with the 90s for the past two months and the technician recommended 3 different options. I chose 2 of the 3 options: a larger return air duct AND repairing the plenum. I was anxious to get the work scheduled and it took me hounding them to get them to schedule the work. Communicating with this office was very painful. I would never get calls back and would just get a text message indicating when they had scheduled the appointment. Their front desk support was exceedingly helpful but not empowered to do anything besides schedule appointments and pass along info. I finally had the appointment and the technician went to the wrong address. I got a call from them saying they had been at my house and then they proceeded to the next job. I spoke to them and learned they were at the wrong house, but could not turn around to go back to my house. I had to wait until the following week to get the appointment rescheduled. What a disaster. It got worse. The work was finally done - the return air duct and the plenum. I waited a couple of days, but there was NO change in the air conditioning. I called them back again and they scheduled another technician to come out. The second technician came out, a more senior technician, who confirmed that the unit was undersized and "working as it was designed" to cool at 75-76. I don't know a single person who is comfortable with 75-76 in the house when the outside is in the 90s. I called customer service again. When I finally got someone, I got a call from William, who is their most senior technician (an older guys in his late-50s probably). He came out with the original technical and instructed him how to properly do a heat load calculation. They determined indeed the unit is undersized and I needed a 3 ton. I called back the customer service asking for a refund to the work. I've called at least 3-4 times, each time speaking with a very nice person. However, I've still not been called back. What a disaster. I've finally had to resort to filing a complaint with my credit card and disputing it through them. It's unfortunate and I didn't want to have to do this, but - when no one will call you back - it's very very hard to trust this company to make things right.

Once again, Dragon Air Services comes through for me. I'm convinced this is the best A/C company in…read morethe world. So here was my situation last year and today. Last year, my thermostat kept turning off and back on. I called Dragon Air Services, and spoke to Dragon. He told me to check the little trip valve thing when your condensater line gets clogged. He asked "Are you handy?" 'Yep', "Okay figure out where that condensater line goes to and clean out the crud. Did it, Fixed the problem super easy. Fast forward to today. Same issue happened, so I got my stuff out and cleaned out the clog again; but the compressor wasn't starting back up. Dragon theorized on the phone that maybe the compressor was turning on off on off on off and overheated when the condensation line was clogged... So he instructed me (to save me an emergency call), to hook my hose up and flood the compressor with water for 10 minutes to help cool down the compressor. Long story short, my A/C is now back completely working. When I heard the compressor kick back on, I was like "NO WAY". These guys actually care about your A/C, and they're not out there trying to make a quick buck. I will call them when I have the BIG a/c problems. Dragon is probably one of the coolest people on the planet. You guys are awesome. They are so incredibly smart.

Little did I know how difficult it would be to actually find an HVAC company that accepted the warranty. After calling what felt like a dozen places--and having none of them accept it--I was getting pretty frustrated. One owner I spoke with told me that Oak Point Heating & Air was good at what they do and, more importantly, that they were honest people. So I called, and Stacy answered. She immediately went to work. She told me she would contact my warranty company and, if they could pay on the spot, she would do everything she could to get someone out to me that same day. Stacy jumped through hoops to make it happen. She handled everything with the warranty company, worked through the details, and got me scheduled with a technician for 8 p.m. To my surprise, he actually arrived **two hours early**, which was fantastic! I wish I could remember his name because he was absolutely fantastic. He smiled the entire time, stayed positive, and kept saying, "No worries, I got you." I remember thinking, *I wouldn't be smiling if I had been working in this heat all day!* But he was--and he genuinely seemed to care about getting my AC fixed.
