Classic American breakfast, phenomenal and friendly service, and value that you're looking for in this economy. No frills, just honest homey food that's filling. We always get the country fried steak and Ribeye steak with over easy eggs, hashbrowns, sourdough (or biscuits), and coffees. Which came out to $50. On days I want to splurge for some extra bite to the meal we'll add bacon which is thiccc and extra crispy. Fresh and hot. Seasoned and salted; enough if you're watching your intake but not so little where you can't taste it- a good balance . Portions are filling but not excessive. You can be in and out quick, or you can hang out and connect with the people you're with. Perfect for work or family. This is a place I not only come back to, but will bring friends to, and will recommend to anyone in town. read more

I came in today since I had some free time this morning. I've been driving past the Cafe for about 2 months. I finally decided to try it. When I walked in I was greeted by the sweetest woman who smiled and get me straight to my seat. After looking over the menu I decided to get the chorizo scramble. I have never had a breakfast that took me straight back home. The comfort I had was next level. All the flavors were balanced and exactly what I expected. I sat for awhile a looked at all the decore and really soaked in how beautiful it was inside. I have to come back. read more

It's easy to just drive by this place, but I was getting my car serviced down the street and decided to walk down to this diner. I would consider this place to be a hole in the wall, but don't let the exterior ambiance fool you. The omelette was cooked just right and super affordable compared to all the other veggie omelette out there. Staff is super nice and chill. read more

Ming and Lisi are worth the trip here. A mom and pops type of restaurant. Great for groups or intimate breakfast catch up with your loved ones. Or, if you craving some great service, delicious food and sincerity, get over here. Now, let's stalk about their homemade hot sauce (which you can purchase to take home).....delish! Shake it on everything for immediate elevated flavor!! Bathrooms are clean, outdoor patio if you wanna see the street and trees or sit inside to revel at their lovely art collection. The environment and atmosphere and decoration was nice and cool on hot days but not big on portions. Breakfast is time to eat lol but here country fired stake was not as big and not to filling. Nice place for mom and daughter. Not family read more

We had our annual Christmas gathering for our office at Popular Cafe this past Saturday, 12/13/25, and from the time we got there, we were treated like Family. They had set aside several tables for us. We liked that they had an extensive menu. I believe it was the owner and maybe a relative of hers who served us. They were very courteous, and the food came out very quickly, even though there were about 20 people in our party. I had an omelette with ham, cheese, and onions. My Wife ordered the three cheese omelette. We found the portions to be a good size. Everything was delicious. My Wife and I will definitely come back to Popular Cafe when we are in the area. read more

Plan on spending an hour looking at the menu, they have everything. My favorite is the shrimp avocado omelette. It is ran by the sweetest couple you would ever meet. The cooking channel is always on their TV and the pictures on the walls are classic from famous artists, however, the walls are painted a lime green, but hey, I could live with lime green walls with the great food that they serve. read more

Great Brunch spot in the area! We ordered the Cowboy Breakfast, Two Eggs with Toast, and the Avocado Bruschetta Toast- All of them with great big portions and tasted great! My favorite was the Avocado Bruschetta Toast which came with potatoes which were also yummy. Coffee was good too! I'm definitely coming back for the toast! Very friendly staff as well. This place is disgusting. They served me rotted corn beef. I will never go back. The French toast didn't even seem like real bread.

Always saw this cafe driving down Central Ave and wanted to check it out, and finally had a chance. And it was perfect choice! Interior may be a bit old-fashioned, but the food was amazing and great service! Bacon, waffle was crispy, coffee was perfectly right and the owner (or maybe waitress but if she is an employee, she should be an employee of the year or something) was amazingly attendant all the time with bright smile. If you wanna enjoy great food with no disappointment in the morning, this is definitely go-to place!! read more

Sigh. Not very good at all. And it looked so promising from the reviews. Here are the nice things.......................The prices were nice. The waitress was wonderful. But the food, with the exception of the Cajun shrimp scramble and the pancakes, got pretty low marks. First of all, I went into shock when the waitress told us the mushrooms were canned. Why would anyone do canned anymore? The California omelet was sad. The filler had bacon that was hard and tasteless. Little cheese. At least it had generous chunks of avocado. The thin pork chops were old tasting and overcooked. Especially when Mr. B asked for them to be NOT overdone. And he said they tasted like they were cooked on the same spot on the grill that had cooked liver (they do have liver on the menu). The veggies came from a freezer bag. The dinner salad with blue cheese dressing was very plain, and was covered by an artificial tasting, bottled dressing. Not good. The bacon and eggs were nothing special. The hash browns were acceptable. The biscuits and gravy were awful. Again, most likely the biscuits came from pre-made frozen packages, the gravy from dried powder. The coffee, thin. But yes, our coffee cups were always kept full. What restaurant were the other reviewers talking about? Certainly not here. And no, we will not be back. read more

I looked at the menu online to order for pick up I got French toast meal on the menu it said French toast combo eggs meat and hash browns when I got the order it was like like 2 slices of French toast with sandwich bread egg whites and the sausage I asked about the hash brown she told me it doesn't come with any I had to pay extra I paid 12-13 $ for this sad ass breakfast read more
