    Half of the Turkey BLTA
    Ashanti W.

$22 dollars for a Turkey BLTA and a bag of chips...I can't complain about the price because it's an airport however the sandwich was bigger than I expected and well made. A seemingly simple sandwich was delicious. The service was nothing stand out. The girl gave the I'm just here to work vibe, however when I asked her about the ingredients in the Cobb she was able to list them out which was helpful.

I was starving when we landed in Atlanta and I didn't want the same old standby that are in our American airports, so when I saw Wolfgang Pucks express I made a run for it because we only had a few minutes before the next plane took off. Let me just get this out of the way, this is not the same quality as the express in the Chicago O'Hare. Cashier was friendly, but the food prep guy was so slow. Come on I've got a plane to catch. $18.68 for chips, coffee, and a really thin turkey, mayo, no cheese, spoon full of coleslaw sandwich. That is ridiculous. Even though my lunch was on the very expensive side, it still beats the other food options available.

Get to know me for long enough and you learn that I love both craft sodas and I love ginger ale. If it's both, you know I am going to have some. I was in the Atlanta airport waiting for a flight a noticed this Wolfgang Puck Express kiosk was selling a craft ginger ale I had never had before called Boylan Ginger Ale. I bought some and took it with me to my terminal. Once I opened it and drank some... I had to force myself to swallow it. I can't describe to you the taste but it was very unpleasant. I have gripes about bad ginger ale before but I never had one that forced me to throw it away immediately after the first taste. Never having one of those again.

    Chicken pesto sandwich

Usually airport food, even at Atlanta airport can be risky. Always expensive and often not good. I was happy to see Wolfgang express (I'm originally from Los Angeles) at terminal D where I fly back home to Asheville often. Its an open kitchen that is clean. You can see the cooks assemble your food in front of you. That's common in Atlanta airport, but the difference in ingredient quality and care in preparation is clear at Wolfgang vs. other options where an impatient server slops premade food into a container. I recommend the chicken pesto salad sandwich on whole grain bread. I watched the cook spread on the pesto, toast the bread and the way he handled the bread with care was a good sign. Then I watched him gently pile the greens on my sandwich so it wasn't smushed down, slice it and box it. I wasn't disappointed when I sat down and ate it. A really nice combination of textures and flavors. Lightly crunchy whole grain, creamy pesto and surprisingly tender chicken with that slightly Herby pesto freshness that I really love When I threw my empty box away, I stopped to tell the cook how awesome the sandwich was and be said he appreciated the compliment. I wish I got the cook's name who was working carefully prepping salads, slid over to make my sandwich without missing a beat and actually took pride in his food. It's rare to see that at fast food options in Atlanta, but it is 9/20 about 5 PM, so I hope a manager reads this and gets this review back to the cook.. I took a picture of the sandwich after I took a bite, not expecting it to be picture worthy, but damn it was good!

    Mediterranean tuna salad

Swung by here at 2:40pm on a Sunday before my flight to get a light, (very) late lunch! The line was short, staff was very friendly, and service was quick. This may be a mistake from my own brain fart...(long weekend...lol)... but I read "Mediterranean Tuna Salad" underneath the "salads" menu as a Mediterranean Salad with Tuna on it. But it's actually a Mediterranean Salad with TUNA SALAD on it. So not what I personally was expecting at the moment and definitely not as healthy as I was attempting to be on Sunday after a heavy eating weekend! It was a generous portion and tasted great! Just not what I was envisioning/wanting when I ordered it so if you're like me, know that it's not a tuna topped salad, it's a tuna salad (with mayo) topped salad. ‍

    Expiration date

Soggy half frozen half de thawed cucumbers. Sour hummus and disgusting celery. The date of expiration is may 20 2022. Took one bite of celery and it tasted weeks old. The manager did work hard to make the refund happen. Thank you.

The music and energy always make for a fun night out, and it's easy to see why my friends enjoy coming here. A special shoutout to the fried okra--perfectly seasoned with a crispy coating--and the chicken sandwich, which was juicy, flavorful, and definitely one I'd order again. They were both excellent! My only disappointment was the service timing. I arrived first (a little early because I had a headache), and once my friends arrived about 20 minutes later, I placed my order immediately. They ordered after I did, yet somehow all of their meals came out about 20 minutes before mine. Don't get me wrong--when my food finally arrived, it was fresh, hot, and absolutely worth the wait. I just wish the kitchen had been more consistent with the order in which meals were served, especially since I ordered first. Overall, the delicious food, tasty drinks, live music, and great atmosphere outweigh the hiccup. I'd definitely come back and would still recommend it--just be prepared for a possible wait during busy times. Food: (4/5) Drinks: (4/5) Service: (3/5) Vibe/Entertainment: (5/5) Overall: (4/5)

I opted for the 10oz NY strip steak for dinner (48$) It came with mashed potatoes, mushrooms, and asparagus. The food wasn't bad. But it wasn't excellent either. Steak was a bit tough and badly needed spices, but it was cooked to the temp I asked for (rare), which is hard to get these days, even from "steak houses." All-in-all, not bad for a hotel restaurant. We parked behind the building and a woman who worked there had the door open. She had on a shirt that read Legalize being Black. My husband had on a Black Lives Matter shirt, & I had on a Juneteenth shirt. She smiled and raised her fist at us as we asked to enter through the door and we responded in kind. I love us! She toke U.S. to grab a menu as we walked in to the right of the bar. We found a high top and found what we wanted and went to the counter to order. The prices are reasonable until you get to adding the sides. I overheard another worker tell a couple who ordered after us to order the veggie plate if they were getting 4 sides as it was cheaper. I wish the person who took our order had told use that. The entrees are à la carte and priced reasonably. The sides are $5 each with a few exceptions, a hoecake is $2 and mac & cheese and a couple other sides are $6. Keep that in mind when you come. Our total for our inside dining with a can of ginger ale, fountain Diet Coke, & tip was like $70+ & the to go order for our son's meal w/o a drink was ~$30. It's definitely a good value if you only need an entree and have sides already. The food is good and has large pieces of meat & decent portions so there you go... I ordered the fried green tomatoes as a starter, smoked beef brisket with the barbecue sauce on the side, smoked turkey cabbage, dressing, & the lemon pound cake. Ironically, the fried green tomatoes came out last. They were piping hot though. They could've used a dash of salt but that cornmeal batter was perfection on the tomatoes. You get 3 and 1 was cut a little too thick and it was slightly mushy maybe cause it had to cook longer? But it was still good. The beef brisket was good. It's sliced thin and had that good smoke flavor and was seasoned well. The thicker slices could've been a bit more tender but overall it could rival some barbecue joints. The dressing was good and so was the cabbage, though it was almost tad bit saltier than I'd like. I'd order everything I had again. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed my food. You know not everyone who claims to cook southern food can do so. Oh the pound cake was good and moist. It reminds me of Sammy Chhesecake pound cake. My husband ordered the 3 pieces of fried chicken, collard greens & they do have a lil kick as the menu suggests, green beans, & yellow rice. He was pleasantly surprised with how big the pieces of chicken were. Nowadays people give you what looks like pigeon parts ‍. He said it was a tad salty. He said he also enjoyed his meal otherwise. I forgot to get pictures of the food for our son's takeout order of fried pork chops, collard greens, mac & cheese, & a hoecake. He liked his food as well but also said his pork chops, which were nice size center cut, were well seasoned, but a little too much. He enjoyed the meal and his 1st hoecake. They also do catering and seemed to have a large catering order being prepared to go out. The restaurant & woman's restroom was clean. The staff were friendly and quickly acknowledged us. The music was good but it would've been good to hear a mix of old school with the hip hop since it was Juneteenth. They have a full bar. The only thing I didn't like was Fox News & another conservative news channel on; at least not on JuneteenthZ a generic movie or TV show would've been better for me anyway. They had a steady stream of to go orders and in person dining. I guess we're just late to know about

The vibe of spot is r&b brunch party, so singing and eating just go hand in hand here. Perfect spot for a birthday get together in fact there were like 2 or 3 turn ups while I there. So the real question: Why only a 4 star review if it was so poppin and food was fire?! Well the actual service is where the shine needs to be a bit brighter. I dont mind that a pre-calculated 20% tip is coming on my bill when the service is prompt and attentive. That is where the mark was missed, seemed as though the service was a bit slower because the tip is already there so the need to perform and match the excellence of the food and drinks doesn't matter as must to the servers. We sat for a long time after placing our drink order without even receiving the lemonade that was ordered first and not coming from the bar. Had to remind the server that we even ordered them.
