For starters, this is the 4th restaurant my family and I have visited since restrictions were lifted here in Indiana. Unfortunately, Wolfie's was the least impressive in terms of how they are adhering to the state's directives. Masks are being worn by the staff and there are a few signs up but tables don't seem to be quite 6 feet apart and people seem to be "bunched up" in certain parts of the restaurant. That being said...this is a beautiful restaurant with a scenic view. It seems, however, that Wolfie's merely inherited these positive features. Having been closed for almost 8 weeks, I would have expected the restaurant to be spotless. Unfortunately, I found dirty window panes, dirty window sills and a dirty table. In regards to the food...this is a bar and grill. The food here probably tastes much better after a few drinks. Since I don't drink much, I wasn't overly impressed. Three of my family members (including myself) had breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches, having heard they were good here. While the sandwich was okay, I wouldn't say it was great. I came here with a group of 30 or so after an event and didn't realize I had been here before when it was under a different name. The space is fairly large with a nice outdoor patio right on the water, which makes for a great place to relax and unwind after a long day. Our group was seated outside on the patio in an area that I think may be reserved for larger groups. We had two servers that seemed to be dedicated to us, because they were always there to make sure everything was okay and that our drinks were filled A lot of people I was with got food... most seemed to go for the mac and cheese. I personally didn't eat so I can't really say much about the food, but the service was excellent. If I'm back in the area, this is someplace I'll go on a nice evening to watch the boats as I dine outside. read more

We went to this restaurant to eat on the water which it delivered. However, not taking reservations is quite odd for a restaurant this busy. We had to wait around 45 minutes even though we would've made a reservation yesterday. Anyway the views of Geist are awesome and the service was great. I ordered the peach sangria to drink which was just a bizarre drink, not sure how it made the menu. My second drink, the American mule, was much more tasty. I ordered the pecan chicken salad which was great! The bleu cheese was insanely good, I couldve eaten a whole bowl. Wolfies at Geist is a favorite in our household. No place in Fishers matches the atmosphere they have by being on the Lake. Not only this, but their food is delicious! You can't go wrong with their country fried chicken, or their famous quarter pound burgers! My favorite is their peanut butter burger... sounds strange, but is absolutely delicious! Their bar area is tough to beat, as there are seats indoor, and outdoor making it the largest bar in the area. Not to mention the view of the Lake! There is a large parking lot, but due to popularity sometimes is hard to find a spot. I suggest taking a walk over the lake with your family for some extra quality time before and after dinner instead of driving there, if possible! I can't wait for Wolfie's to open back up. The waitress never checked on us once, when she came to deliver the check I showed her my uneaten steak and conveyed my distaste but her response was simply "sorry." The food here is fantastic! I tried tacos and loved them, and the Tito's mule is good also. DEFINITELY TRY THE FRIES! I love the decor and setting of this place, there is a beautiful view overlooking Geist. The reason for only 3 stars is the outdoor seating situation. When putting your name in the hosts don't ask if you would like inside or outside (lot of restaurants clarify if outdoor seating is offered. We waited about 20 min and were taken outside to the patio which was in direct sunlight on an 80+ degree day. They then said we could get back onto a waiting list for an inside table for an additional wait, even though there were a ton open inside, which by then we would've waited a long time. The tables have holes for outdoor umbrellas, but none are available. It would've been perfect if there was some sort of shade/cover available, and it will only be worse later in the summer. Our waitress was very apologetic and we assured her we know it's not her fault! I know that they just opened the location as Wolfie's recently, so hopefully they will get it sorted out. We went to Wolfies around 9pm for a new years bachelorette celebration with my 4 friends ! Previously they had a huuuge 70 rib dinner party so they ran out of rib dinner , but it's ok cause we had a alternative rib dinner. The moscato was delicious. Sadly I couldn't have any because I was underage. My friends couldn't sit at the bar cause of me : ( It's ok because we were together forever. While waiting on our food, we had a fun time playing kings game. Our waiter, Derrick was really kind and checked up on us, the kitchen closed around 10, so he made sure to see if we wanted to order anything else. When our food came, he kindly split it up into portions! How kind! We each had 3 delicious ribs and fries and coleslaw. My sister had a cucumber water gin drink and my other had a puppy slumber party, they were delightful! Very good. We had a blast ! Thanks Derrick! My husband and I have come to this location more than a few times before. The transformation Wolfies has made has been nice. This place has a brand new look in the inside from its predecessor. The atmosphere is fun and inviting. You can sit in the bar area that has a wall lined with TVs. You can definitely watch any sports channel here. The area outside sits right on Geist Reservoir with a beautiful view. Then if you're not a fan of outside eating or if you are and the weather is not up to par, the area with a wall of windows still gives you a beautiful view. It's also a bar area with multiple TVs. Today we went during the time they were extremely busy. They had a band playing and the place was packed. There was a 45 minute wait. But that wasn't too bad considering how many people were there. The wait staff was nice but they seem to have a lot of high schoolers helping out. Our waitress was nice and somewhat attentive but noticeably busy. She had one of the high schoolers helping her with our table and he sits my soup down, says nothing and then when I ask for a spoon to eat it with, he says "ok" but never returns. Finally our waitress comes back and she immediately grabs it. Our drinks weren't refilled as quickly as we would have liked but again we could see she was swamped. We ordered the sweet chili wings for an appetizer. My husband ordered the country chicken and I ordered the pecan crusted chicken and French onion soup. We've had the wings before and they always look as though they are not done on the outside. The last time we tried them a couple of them really weren't done in the inside. So we thought after complaining we'd give them another shot. This time they still looked the same on the outside but the inside was done. My husband said the chicken with his meal was too hard (over cooked) and he did not enjoy his meal. My French onion soup was not the best, it was lacking flavor but the pecan salad was a hit! Ample parking on a Wednesday eve around 4:30. This location does not seem to suffer from a lack of employees as the front station was crowded with greeters and wait staff. We sat on the atrium but the air conditioning had been broken earlier and it had yet to cool off the room after being fixed. So we moved outside to the deck. The quesadilla appetizer was the highlight of my meal. My entree was the beer battered cod fish and chips. Three rolled up fillets that reminded me of what you can get from frozen food areas of most grocery stores! Fries were average as was the cole slaw. My spouse hot the appetizer portion of ribs for her meal which I should have done too. This seems to be a nice spot for appetizer and bar food. Right by the Geist reservoir, so decent ambiance. Came here twice and so far this is the place to be. On my first visit, I had the shrimp tacos and those were delicious and their fried cauliflower appetizer was amazing!! Then for my second visit, I had the beer batter cod fries, and the portion size was huge and I could barley eat all of it. But then the Cole slaw that came with it was on point. I can't find any other restaurant that have the best Cole slaw but this place!! read more

Please provide realistic wait times. My partner and I wanted to enjoy the beautiful Saturday with drinks outside so we called ahead to get an idea of how busy the beer garden was and the hostess gave a 20-25 minute wait time. When we checked in, another hostess said she couldn't give a wait time but didn't think it would be long at all. After an hour of waiting, there was no one else outside and plenty of patio seats so we checked in with the hostess and she still didn't have any sort of time frame or provide other options. After 30 more minutes, we decided to just go to Drakes or District Tap for a drink and hopped in the car. Once we left, we got a text asking if patio seating would be okay. I understand that Saturday evenings are busy but if we were told 90 minutes we could've planned accordingly. read more

Decided to check this place out after searching yelp for popular lunch spots. It was a great choice. They had a cute little kids menu, that my daughter wanted to take with her. We recommend the tenderloin. It was just the right size and delicious! The atmosphere was great as well and they had many TVs if you are a sports fan. We really appreciated the owner reaching out to us directly. It was enough for us to give this place another shot. We've been back a few times and service has been pretty good. We definitely did not experience anything like our first visit. The kids meals are great - I appreciate that broccoli is a side option. Last night our meal was fairly good. We all loved the jalapeño corn and the mashed potatoes were decent as well. The only exception was the meatloaf. Let me tell you, I LOVE meatloaf. What they served last night seemed like it came from a frozen food service package. It was more like frozen Salisbury steak from the Kroger freezer aisle than actual meatloaf. Regardless of whether it was a frozen prepackaged product, or if someone actually made this from scratch, it needs some serious work. I'd be happy to share what real meatloaf looks and tastes like, just like my momma and granny make. Please make some adjustments to this dish or scrap it all together from your menu. Now that my meatloaf rant is over, I will say that I think you guys are doing a good job with this place. We have always enjoyed dining at Wolfies. Sad to see that masks appear to be optional at this point. Multiple staff not masked, and customers walking around maskless indoors. I thought Indianapolis still had a mandate? If masks are optional, that should be reflected on your listing (above it says staff wears masks) and posted before entering. I worry about why the owner doesn't seem concerned with protecting their staff? When we came in the summer there was sanitizer at each table, and that was also gone. So we finally went to Wolfie's at Geist but my phone didn't go with us. We had "linner" at 3:00 because we worked through lunch and couldn't wait for dinner. Jeff was our server and he was great! Friendly, great recommendations, anticipated needs and made the experience more fun. The menu is much better suited to a place by the water than any of the former restaurants at this site. Handhelds, burgers, appetizers. We sat on the moderately air conditioned patio. There are a couple cooling units and some fans. It wasn't as hot as outside or cold like the inside, overall pretty comfortable. One TV had on the cubs and one had the Reds game. There are a couple bar areas as well as truly outside seating. We both ordered burgers, I had my first Bison Burger (took a bacon cheeseburger and substituted Bison for beef) and hubby had the spicy burger. Both were well cooked and delicious. The fries weren't my favorite, coated fries- I really like steak fries but they were hot. The extras on the burger : bacon, tomato, lettuce, cheese, jalapeño, avocado, etc were all fresh and delicious. Overall I'd say this is a HUGE improvement over Bella Vita (which was in this space and always seemed dirty) so if you haven't been there yet I'd give it a try read more

Came here last nite & it is was very busy. Couldn't get a table w/o a 30 minute wait. So we sat on patio at the waiting table. They couldn't serve us,bcuz we weren't in regular area. Tables were dirty EVERYWHERE. Bathroom had paper towels everywhere,trash cans were overflowing & worse the entire bathroom smelled of urine!! They charge $2.75 for a coke! Really? After getting caught in a complete downpour during Memorial Day weekend my friends and I decided to kill two birds with one stone by getting dinner and avoiding the rain at Wolfies. On any other day the view of Geist through the wall of windows would be amazing but the rain really put a damper on it. The atmosphere and architecture of the restaurant was still pretty great. I ordered the wedge salad and French onion soup. The wedge salad was absolutely delicious but I wasn't impressed with the French onion soup. It's very thick and extremely over peppered for my liking. However, this would not stop me from returning as my friends meals looked delicious and there were many other things on the menu I'd like to try. Although I stuck to water, they seemed to have a pretty good beer selection. It was also interesting to me to see that they had an oyster bar. I will definitely be back to try them. I'm giving wolfies 3 stars for now as our service wasn't the best. We had to ask for silverware after our meals came out, our glasses were left empty for awhile and we asked if we could get the baseball game on one of the TVs and were told yes but it was never changed. Unfortunately, there was also a very loud and obnoxious party that sat behind us which made the experience less enjoyable. My husband and I were invited to Wolfsie's for a family member's 50th birthday. The area is nice and right on the water. We had a nice size section and was seated promptly. The decor is ok, nothing special, typical bar but with a nice view. There was a love band there but we were not in a close enough area to see them. The staff was very nice, efficient and quick. My husband and I ordered Long Islands and we were pleasantly surprised that they were strong! I ordered the classic Sirloin steak, well done with grilled onions and mashed potatoes. My husband ordered the tenderloin sandwich and fries. I have the restaurant 4 stars because the steak was a tad dry and I didn't get very onions on my steak. My husband raved about his v tenderloin and it was a nice size that he didn't even finish it all... I would definitely recommend Wolfsie's and plan on going back! read more

We visited on a Tuesday around 2pm. It took about 7 minutes before we were greeted by a host. We opted to sit outside and the view of the water is pleasant. It took several minutes before we were approached by our server, but he was efficient after that. We ordered the wedge salad, the blue cheese burger, and the chicken wrap. My husband and I found ourselves without kids on Friday night, so decided to try out this local spot. Lots (OK, most) of our friends frequent Wolfies all the time because it's nearby. Wolfies is right in the Geist marina and as soon as you step inside it feels like you stepped into a ski lodge. It's a very comfortable space. I'd call it upscale, but still comfortable. It was a freezing cold night and very blustery. And I noticed all the windows were steamed up when we approached, so I was hoping that meant it was warm inside. It was not. It was freezing inside even though every table was filled with people eating, drinking, talking, and laughing. We occupied a two-top on the other side of the building from the front door and still ate our entire meal with our coats on. I'd absolutely recommend the fish tacos to anyone, and my husband would do the same with the black and blue sirloin. They were expertly prepared seasoned. However, it was almost too cold to enjoy my draft beer. My husband did the smart thing and ordered a coffee just to warm up! It was really loud inside, but like I said, it was Friday night and at full capacity. There were lots of TVs around, so it would be a great spot to catch a game with friends. Tonight was my 1st time at Wolfies & we were there for the Bishop's band. It was too crowded to sit in where the band was so we ate 1st & was gonna go down there after we ate. The food was good although my chicken on the nachos & tenders a bit dry, the fries, boom boom Cauliflower, & pretzel was delish! However, my cousins friend is allergic to red onions sho when she ordered she asked & the waiter to her there was no onions in the dish she wanted to order. After she took several bites, I'd say three, she tasted onion so she asked & our waiter went to ask. He came back & confirmed there indeed was red onions in the dish. He was visibly upset & was apologetic. My cousin asked if she were to have to go to the hospital would they help or cover that bill. The waiter asked his Manger & came back with their sorry that happened & they'd comp her dinner. COMP her dinner? That's it?? I do not blame the waiter for sure However he should know or ask before he brings it to the table or order at all! And the manager should have come to our table bot sent the waiter back & JUST comp her dinner! This is the most disrespectful customer service I've ever witnessed. That poor waiter shouldn't have had to deal with this in his own he's NOT in charge & is suppose to be making sure every...EVERY patron is taken care of & fix mistakes respectfully.
