If you haven't discovered Reve Coffee Lab yet, I have one question: are you okay? (Seriously, go…read morecheck them out.) This place was basically my second home during undergrad. I'm pretty sure the baristas remember my order better than I do. Here's what makes Reve worth the visit: - The coffee is legitimately phenomenal. They're all about quality over quantity, using science-based brewing and traditional standards to craft coffee that actually tastes like they care. Because they do. If instant gratification is your thing, Starbucks is down the street. If you want good coffee, you're in the right place. - The baristas actually know their stuff. They'll help you find exactly what you're looking for without making you feel clueless. Fair warning though: this is their coffee shop, and they're respectfully enthusiastic about doing things right. Treat them like the humans they are, and you'll have a genuinely great interaction. - The vibe hits different. It's cozy and intimate inside (compact in the best way), but if the weather's nice, the patio is where it's at--plenty of space, zero stress. Work, study, hang out with friends--it all just works here. If you care about good coffee, good people, and a space that actually feels like somewhere you'd want to be, Reve Coffee Lab is your spot.

The vibes are excellent, especially after ~5pmish when it starts to get dark out because that's when the soft lighting inside turns on! I most recently got a hot crimson fog which is a black and blue tea and it was chef kiss! It was the perfect amount of sweetness as it has some elements of berries and will definitely be back to drink some more!

Never would have thought using a beignet for a…read morebreakfast sandwich w bacon (or sausage) egg and cheese would be good, but trust me it all works. Leaving you wanting more and more. Their beignets were also tasty compared to other places around BR attempting to sell beignets. (Like that place on highland rt past the interstate, that's a shame they sell what they call a beignet over there). $30something bucks for a dozen beignets and 4 sliders. Nice place to sit and eat em if you'd like also.

She then charged us twice the amount listed on their website and the drive thru board. When we asked her about it she said that couldn't be and that wasn't the right price. Take then left the window and did not return. I went around to the front and inside. She was talking with the owner/manager (?) who proceeded to tell me that there was no way he could fulfill my order for the price listed on his website. I could tell this business did not value its customers or customer service so I asked for a refund. He preferred to not get any business and a bad experience/review than admit it was an error on their part, fulfill the order or find an acceptable alternative, and fix the problem later. "I can't get $42 so I'm not going to be happy with the $21 it should be." This is not a good business model and I'd be surprised if they're not out of business in a year or two.

The staff was very friendly and attentive! The food was good, but not great. My son ordered the…read morechicken and andouille pasta that came with garlic bread. It was a large portion and delicious. I had the hot roast beef poboy. It was ok-could've used more roast beef. My husband ordered the sausage poboy-it was ok. He ordered pepper jack cheese, but the kitchen put so little cheese that we couldn't find it. He sent it back to the kitchen and they added more. The onion rings were a generous portion, but were undercooked. Tasted too much flour instead of crunchy crust. Overall, pretty good value for the money since 2 of us brought leftovers home, but not anything amazing to bring us back.

Multiple servers seemed shocked and appalled that…read morewe hadn't made a reservation..but they eventually put together some tables in the oyster bar area for us. Service was friendly, but frustrating and inefficient, as our server would only stay at the table to hear what one person asked for and then would just about sprint away for that one thing before finding out what anyone else wanted. If stressed about serving a big top table in the bar area while also serving in the restaurant side, I would suggest grouping together a few tasks at once instead of doing one thing at a time. I will say, the chargrilled oysters and the sausage app were good. But the main food was not good. I had the fried catfish special, topped with etouffee. The fried catfish was mushy and the fry too dark, the etouffee had too much flour (too thick) and was too pale, and the dessert cake was gross. My husband was excited to order the redfish, which was okay at best and very disappointing - overcooked and dry. We had been excited to revisit this place since it had been years since we came here, but we probably would only return for beer and apps next time.
