I have to say, my husband and I are VERY pleased and have gone past our one week "trial run" and are now entering our third week. First, I feel like I spend wayyyy more money than this at Whole Foods every week, and only get a few meals out of it. Second, I am a working mom, and by the time I get home after being stuck in traffic, cooking is the last thing I want to do. Dinner is done, and I can spend more time with my daughter when I get home. Third, the food is really, really good. Ingredients are high quality and what I'd make at home if I had the time. Fourth, portions are awesome. We signed up for the deluxe, and I split my meal with my daughter (15 months old) and I am more than full. My husband is always full off of one meal too. Sometimes for lunch we will even split a container in half and be fine (and we get more meals out of it!)

Delivery: I love the fact that the food is delivered to my doorstep. They deliver on Sundays and seem to be providing service every other week now. I was able to do everything on my phone and I appreciate how their menu spans between different dietary preferences and they even have a bulk protein/side section - Delivery: Driver texts you ten minutes before they arrive. Everything was delivered on time and in an insulated cold pack. - Packaging: Everything we ordered was individually pakaged, properly labeled, and came with reheating instructions that were easy to understand - Flexibility: No subscriptions to commit to. - They try to partner with local farms and I didn't see any weird ingredients being listed. The Bad: - Food: We tried salmon, steak, and chicken with the lemon pepper steak being the best. The steak and chicken were dry/overcooked and the veggies were undercooked. Everything was very bland and tasteless. We were not a fan of the side carbs and ended up throwing them in the trash.

The dumplings are made in a commercial kitchen in Vienna, but you pick up the prepared and frozen raw dumplings from their customer pick-up location in Bristow. They offer a variety of dumplings: shrimp (includes a little bit of spinach), pork & cabbage, pork & leek, chicken & celery, and a vegetarian one. They also offer their special Organic Sweet & Sour Garlic Chili Sauce, which is a MUST HAVE with the dumplings! Don't be scared to have to cook the dumplings yourself! There are a multitude of cooking options available and can yield perfectly delicious dumplings! One can either boil (easiest), steam (healthy), or pan fry (requires the most effort) the dumplings. Just google how to cook Chinese dumplings for each technique. I met the owner's granddaughter, Peggy, who is the face of the company and THE NICEST person you could ever meet. She manages the day-to-day operations, while her grandfather, Mr. Han, handles all of the dumpling making. Three Leaf Dumpling's website touts that Mr. Han has been covered by the Washington Post for his mastery in hand-pulled noodles. From our taste-test of the dumplings we purchased (almost every single flavor), we can vouch that Mr. Han knows what he is doing!
