My brother and sister in law live not too far away and when it's not too hot out you can find us here about once a month. You'll also find me kicking both their asses on the mini golf course. They have two different courses, both are fun to play and just challenging enough. The clubhouse is good for a birthday party pre or post mini golf. They have some ice cream novelties and pop corn available in the clubhouse as well as drinks (of the nonalcoholic variety). It's a nice way to spend a summer afternoon if you're in the area.

You won't find any moving windmills or anything. There are static obstacles and occasional hills. When we visited in July 2022, none of the water features were working, leaving it looking pretty sad. There were multiple places where the "green" was ripped. If you want a premium mini-golf experience, there's always Puttshack in Oakbrook Center... but you'll pay an arm and a leg. Miner Mike's is fine to kill an hour or so. There's a nice free playground on the opposite side of the parking lot if your aim is to entertain the kids. The young lady working the Miner Mike's window was very pleasant.

The tech-enhanced mini golf made it easy to keep score and added a fun competitive element without taking itself too seriously. We played nine holes, which ended up being the perfect amount of time that was long enough to have fun and get a little friendly competition going, but not so long that it felt like a commitment. We had purchased credits to play more arcade games but decided to save them for another time since it was getting late and the crowd was on the older side. We came back the next weekend in hopes of eating and playing games but were quickly turned off by numerous games not functioning properly. I went up to the desk at least twice requesting credits for several different games. If this happens... repair them? Put a sign on them? Something. After that experience we decided it wasn't worth eating there and probably wouldn't ever go back as a family.
