Dylan was one of the many recommendations I received for one-year photos. At first, we were looking for a cake smash, but after reviewing cake smashes and how half the time the kid doesn't smash, we decided to do something more inclusive of the family. Also, my kid is born in December so perfect for holiday cards. I really liked Dylan's portfolio on his website. The pictures were sharp, defined, focused and clean. So, I got in touch with Dylan, and his wife and I worked out logistics. They didn't even charge until closer to the time. They were very fast to respond and friendly. Text, email, voice, whatever you prefer. I went to the shoot location early after hair and makeup. We picked my cousin's Japanese tea garden in Mill Valley. There wasn't any travel fee despite Dylan being based out of the South Bay. However, there was a snafu. As I'm waiting around chatting with my cousins, my husband calls. He forgot the clothes for the baby and himself and he already crossed GGB. We live in Daly City and I said, well okay, turn around and hurry and get them. I texted Dylan, expecting the worse. Time is money after all. To my surprise, Dylan said NO PROBLEM. No problem?? Wow!! He's amazing. He told me to give him the new ETA and he'd run errands until then. No fee and no problem. Incredible. Eventually, my husband did arrive. Dylan was super friendly and he has a little one, too, so he knows how it is to be a parent. He was entertaining and despite my cousin's garden being massive, he managed to do the shoot in less than 45 minutes, which is perfect for a 12mo skeptical baby. We just moved into a new state. A lot was going on. When we were unpacking we realized a lot of our wall photos did not have our youngest in them, just us parents and the first child( She's 2 years old- BIG second child syndrome). At the same time I saw a post on Facebook about the fall mini sessions. The mini sessions are usually like seasonal (before holidays) and it's a quick 30 minutes in and out. It's definitely so much easier for my family because the kids attention span does not last long. To celebrate our move with a new family portrait and maybe use it for a Christmas card, I contacted Wondra Photography. They responded quickly within a day or two and gave me all the information I needed. The price point is VERY GOOD for the time and amount of high resolution digital images. When I first met Dylan I didn't know what to expect. Usually I'm super TypeA about these things, research everything and read all reviews; but I didn't this time. I literally winged it and I'm so glad we did. It was the perfect timing. He was super friendly and made an effort with the kids so that they would warm up to him. Our kids are not the best listeners but he was patient and made sure to get good photos of them. Communication is key to the best photos. So if your expecting a certain pose, make sure to let them know. Dylan is more than happy to try to give you what you want. I'm glad we trusted Wondra Photography for our family photos. The turnaround time for our final images was quick and we wasted 2+ days looking over the photos because we loved them so much. I am not joking. We first contacted Dylan for my maternity photos in August 2018. They were stunning! We had Dylan come back for newborn photos in October, and they are some of the most cherished photos we have. Absolutely delighted with the whole experience and love my new family pictures! I booked Dylan for a photo shoot with me, my husband, and our 18 month old. My main concern was the toddler's stranger danger (going strong right now), and I hoped that Dylan (who's also a dad of young kids) would be able to still capture some good moments. And yeah!! By the end, they were even playing together which let Dylan even snap a few just-mom-and-dad shots. My husband and I wanted to get photos taken of us and our son in an outdoor scene, as he's almost 1 and we haven't done any professional photos. We had set to meet at Sanborn Park. When Dylan got there early to scout out the location's weather, it was raining so he was extremely helpful and flexible in moving to another locale. We went to Vasona Park instead and he knew a bunch of great places to snag pictures. He directed us to the places with the best lighting and scenery (it was cloudy out). Best part is my 1 year old son loved him! He wasn't in the best of moods that morning, but Dylan got him smiling and entertained the whole time. He kept it moving and went with the flow. We wanted to get some posed pictures but also some pictures of of candid and messing around, so we got a great mixture. I've taken photos before for my engagement and wedding and have never felt as comfortable as I did with him. It was a fun photo session. We originally discovered Dylan when we needed a photographer for my son's baptism. Dylan captured some of the most memorable moments on that day!
