Sometimes ya just gotta have Chinese food, well.... at least the Americanized version of Chinese food. I was hesitant on coming here since the reviews were both good and bad. Either way, I'm glad I went and tried it for myself. It was pretty good. The owner was super nice. A little hard to understand, but a little finger pointing did it's job. Clean cute place. You can see the ocean in the distance. Sit anywhere you like. When the owner came to take our order, I asked about the MSG. We figured out that if you don't want MSG in your food, they will NOT put it in. Well hey, that works for me. I ordered the Lo mien chicken dish, my daughter ordered the General Tso's chicken and my hubby ordered the Kung Po chicken. Average waiting time. The dishes came out HOT and fresh. I think my order was a mistake however. I actually ended up getting a Lo Mien soup instead of what I thought I was getting. Oh well, time to try something new. Everyone else got what they ordered. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed my noodle soup. Not spicy. Pretty mild. Chicken tasted like chicken and the veggies tasted fresh, not frozen. I did take a few small samples from everyone's dish just to see how they also tasted. Nom...Nom..Nom.... The General Tso's chicken was really good. Fresh, sweet and hot, spicy hot. I do remember the owner asking if we wanted it really hot or just a little hot. I thought I said little hot, but if this was little hot...it made me cry. Wonder what the HOT was like? The Kung Po chicken was also very good. Fresh, hot and spicy. Again, the chicken looked like chicken and tasted like chicken. Veggies were cut small and tasted fresh. Med spiced. I'd come back again. It's definitely worth a stop if your getting tired of fish.

    Lunch specials

Food is just ok. Note they use MSG in some dishes, so you'll have to ask them not to. They have lots of cheap lunch specials from 11:30-3, and senior (55+) combo plates for dinner that are very reasonable. The "fried" rice does not appear to be fried. Lo Mein very salty, probably because of the MSG (wish I had noticed that on the menu). Very pleasant owner. Says it will take 1/2 hour to cook, but only took 15 minutes. Restaurant always empty-looking because they are still not allowing dine-in. Not sure why, all the other restaurants in town do. There aren't many choices for Chinese on the south coast, just 1 place per tiny town. PS: Even the fortune cookie here was stale & soft. :(

Spectacular eats at Wing's Cafe in Gold Beach. We ordered the family Dinner D!

They had a nice shaded area with picnic benches to eat at and GREAT food. The lady at the window is friendly but all business! They have a number of specials, we had the chicken basil fried rice, a teriyaki chicken bowl and some wontons. They were all great and good portions for the price, the two of us had two meals each. Highly recommended!

Great service, super clean restaurant and yes, the eggrolls were amazing! Big fat juicy homemade ones and without onions. I never like eggrolls normally because they always have onions and seem to be the same skinny ones every restaurant has. These were deliciously spiced cabbage and cooked perfectly. And huge! The barbecued pork dish was also very generous and we really enjoyed that as well. Definitely our go to travel meal spot. Looking forward to trying more dishes next time!

My husband ordered the Szechuen Beef with order of fried rice. My daughter and I ordered the General Tso's Chicken one with fried rice and one with pan fried noodles. An order of crab puffs to share. #6 of them, I walked in to pick up the order. There were plenty of options to sit if you want to dine in. The gal came out and told me my order would be a lil longer. I asked how long? About 15-20 more minutes! I'm like ok, I need to go to the store. Went to the store and came back in 20 minutes. Guess what? It was not done the gal apologized and said she got 3 orders right when I placed my order. I waited about 10 more minutes.OK whatever. It happens, but come on, give a realistic time for pick up if you have that many orders at once. The gal was very apologetic and nice. She gave us some complementary boi boi type buns. They proportions were very big. 2 people could share an item. Fried rice and pan fried noodles were good. And nice size proportions. General Tso Chicken was good. My husband loved the Szechuen Beef as well. My granddaughter also ordered the kid size chicken noodle soup. It was delicious she said and also had plenty to eat the next day. It was on kids menu but adult size serving. Crab puffs were AMAZING! The price was good for the amount of food you get. We had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day.
