Best Chinese food I've had in a long time. Egg rolls are large and on point. Best I've had in Josephine county.

We've had take out from here twice now. Their Hot Wings are bomb. Their Sweet & Sour Pork is phenomenal. The Hot Spiced Pork is both SPICY and delicious. The Shrimp and the garlic chicken were quite good. The restaurant is funky divy. The owners are gruff but not mean. Mostly a cultural difference. The food is made fresh to order and you can really tell. It's fresh and tasty. The price is extremely reasonable. Quite a hidden gem in a town of 1800. Well worth stopping in for lunch or dinner. Great Chinese food found in the most unlikely of locations... Cave Junction! It's a mom and pop establishment, so everything is done their way. We got 8 different dishes, fried rice, hot and sour soup and egg rolls for under a C-note. We fed 7 people across 2 meals with leftovers. Even though we ordered take out and they clearly prioritized customers that came in after we had ordered, I would go again. I don't know how this business has any stars at all. If I didn't have to put one in order to write a review I would give it a zero the only good thing about this place is there a giant egg rolls! Customer service was absolutely horrible on the phone when I called to place the order and in the restaurant to pick it up. I come from California and I have not been able to find decent Chinese food in the grants Pass Cave Junction Area. However I have to say out of all the places that I have tried this one is the absolute worst! They need to just close that place down it's not even worth the electricity bill. They do a lot of deep fried foods and everything taste exactly the same, I'm sure they don't change the oil. I would hate to see you at the kitchen look like that they cook the food in! King's has really good Chinese American food. I spent the last five years living in S.F. bay, so I've had lots of Chinese food to compare. Kings is not like one of the new Chinese chain restaurants . If fancy booths and perfectly matching plates are really important to you, King's won't meet your expectations. King's very simply serves great food . We were a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews about rude behavior.Our experience was friendly and welcoming. If you have a nasty attitude I can see why you wouldn't be welcome. I've eaten here for years and this place by far makes the best mushroom egg Foo young I've ever had. I've tried this dish at quite a few restaurants on the west coast and no one comes close to how good kings does it. It's the garlic sauce and the texture. Sweet and sour pork is good too. This has been on the Josephine County Health Dept's extremely low scored restaurants several times. I'm surprised it stays in business. The only thing to recommend it is it's relatively cheap -- you get what you pay for. We've been a couple times, first time friends took us there, 2nd time by myself for a late lunch / early dinner. I was the only one in the restaurant. First bite & the food was inedible - I spit it out into my napkin:( Old, bad chicken? Server (owner?) made herself scarce, so I sat & waited. When she showed, I asked for the check. She asked if I wanted a to go box. Told her: No, chicken was bad, inedible. Again, oblivious. One bite so the plate was full. read more

I have never had such disgusting asian food or such horrific service in my life!!!!!To eat in the restaurant is scary as it is filthy and grimy and hasnt been remodeled or updated since the turn of the century. Ordering to go is better so you dont have to see the conditions your food is being prepared in but there is always an unbelievable wait time, they will only make certain items on certain days or never, no one in there can speak english or understand english, and it usually takes several times of being hung up on and calling back to even get your order taken. I know several people who have gotten food poisoning here and I wouldnt even feed this crap to my dog. In a small town, when youre tired and dont feel like cooking, sometimes you will find yourself in a place of desperation and will hope that maybe something has improved since the last time you were desperate enough to order from this establishment , but no, same thing. As a start, the waitress took my daughter's soup bowl without even asking if she's done eating. The crackers tasted like it's been there for 6 months. I ordered at 4:50pm, and the food is serve in 10minutes. The food was cold. When we confronted the waitress about our cold food, she reacted very unprofessional and caused a scene in the middle of the restaurant. She took a piece out of our King's Chicken Nugget plate, broke it half (it's not supposed to be over 100 degrees and burn your mouth). She also took another piece, broke in half, gave it to another customer, and ask him if it's hot or not. He replied "Yes", but just to avoid the drama that she's causing. Then, she threw the chicken back on our plate and asked us to pay the full price in a rude and yelling manner. That is when Chan showed up and start pointing his finger to us...and telling me this: "You know, it's hard when you pissed somebody". I was hoping he can resolved the issue but instead, he said, "I've been doing this for 20 years and you're the ONLY one who COMPLAINED". WOW. He must be a PERFECT business owner WITH NO ETHICS. He helped out the issue by giving us half price of our order. By the way, the dining table was sticky like putting your elbow on a piece of gum. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS restaurant to anyone. I wish I cannot put even ONE STAR. How would you feel if a waitress and the owner is yelling at you after you nicely approached the waitress that your food is cold? The waitress start breaking my food into halves, handing my food to other customers, putting those food back in my plate, yelling at me, pointing fingers at me, accusing me that I pissed his waitress, accusing me that I don't want to pay because I want to eat Chinese food for free, and they expect me to eat and pay. I told him I will pay for the full price to solve the issue, and walkaway from the embarrassing scene, so my daughter and the other kids are not watching. I thanked them for respecting me. They said it's good to know that we don't live in Cave Junction because they don't want us back. But he argued w/me first to pay THE FULL AMOUNT, to whatever I want, and ended up paying the half price, which is $13.25. The rice, chicken nuggets, and sweet and sour are cold. The shrimp was fried in old oil, it looks dark. The BBQ was dry, cold, like it was made yesterday. The only thing that was hot was the Chow Mien. The waitress was wearing a medical scrub for top, jeans, and rubber shoes, with unpleasant face, said, "That's supposed to be cold, otherwise it'll burn your mouth!" Look on the side of table, and it's dirty as well. I have recorded the whole conversation on my cell as evidence. On the recording, you can hear the waitress slamming the plates together.
