I ordered this food through GrubHub. But I found out that you can call directly to the restaurant to have a delivery...My delivery person was from Hoi Cin.. I got beef chow fun, sweet-and-sour pork over noodles and, Mongolian beef over steam rice extra spicy. I also got Sweet and sour soup, fried shrimp, steamed buns, sesame seed buns, deep-fried silver buns. And sesame seed buns. and let's not forget Shanghainese steam buns. I thought that beef chow fun tasted pretty good the noodles were not as wide as I have been used to. Sweet-and-sour pork over noodles instead of rice taste just fine and I recommend that. And last but not least the Mongolian beef over steam rice extra spicy.... The extra spicy was dried red chili peppers added to the dish ..Be careful the red pepper is not very chewable if you got one in the mouth. But overall a good dish... The fried shrimp was delicious it had Panko coating on it. Steam buns were good & tasty.... I tried the sesame seed buns and I did not like them They were not my cuppaa of tea for me. Ordered a kung pao chicken combo meal. It turned out to be a kung pao celery dish instead. Literally half the plate is celery. It's too bad because it tastes good but only a few pieces of chicken. Reliably delicious food. We have eaten there for years and somehow I have neglected to give them a review. It's a great family run small business that appears to do more business for take-outs. There is always available seating, and we like to eat in because the fish dishes taste best right out of the kitchen. I did notice that the menu prices have not been updated and I thought the prices seemed too inexpensive. When you get your bill, normal pricing is reflected. My husband and I had dinner here last night and for the more times than I can remember, that we have been there, the food exceeded expectations. The ladies are always pleasant and helpful. The young man that works there even got up and held the door for me when we got there. We had BBQ duck, vegetable stir fry, orange chicken with chicken fried rice and pork bun. The duck was delicious. The vegetable fried rice was perfect. The vegetables were not over cooked. The orange chicken had just the right amount of flavor. The pork buns were fabulous. The people that complain about the service, or the food, I have to wonder if either it's a culture thing or an entitlement thing. The people that work in this restaurant do their best to give the customers the best service possible and to give them the best tasting food possible. If you're not happy with their service or food, go somewhere else. Despite popular opinion, the customer is not always right. The decor is what you would expect for a Cantonese restaurant. The staff here were very friendly and welcoming when we walked it. It's a community staple where a lot of the customers, patrons, and staff know each other. I experienced the worst customer service ever from a restaurant last night. Someone at Hoicin called me twice about my online order and harassed and yelled at me while I was driving to pickup my online order via Yelp. This is unacceptable customer service and behavior from a restaurant personnel! I was tired from a long week and work day. It was after 8pm by the time I got home. So, we decided to order Chinese takeout because we were exhausted, didn't want to cook, and wanted a fish entree for Friday in Lent. Yelp showed that Hoicin closes at 9pm. So we placed an online order and Yelp estimated the order will be ready by 8:55pm at the latest. My map app estimated I would at the restaurant a few minutes outside the pickup time window but before their 9pm closing. While driving to the restaurant, a lady at Hoicin calls me the first time to interrogate me when I will pickup my order. She kept yelling, "you got to pickup up now!" I informed her that I was on my way and will arrive before 9pm. I apologized I will be a few minutes later than the 8:55pm pickup time provided by Yelp. At 8:50pm, she calls me and yells at me again! I was a few minutes away on the freeway. I told her I was almost there, and I was driving as fast as possible without being reckless. I arrived to pickup my order at 8:58pm. I was already very upset and didn't care about the rude greeting. I never ate the order because of the rude experience from Hoicin. We are never returning to their restaurant! I wish the beyond menu options were more clear. Be wary when ordering from there. They don't have any descriptions on that website. Variations in Chinese cooking exist, I readily acknowledge that. For example, the Szechuan beef here is breaded and tastes more like orange chicken than anything. Because I've had this dish elsewhere in the way I wanted I made the mistake of relying on the naming of the dish aside from the clear lack of description to make a choice - one that I regret immensely. Also, there was also some sort of reprimand when I ordered through the Beyond Menu app. I placed the order through and created an alias through Apple that wasn't tied to any accounts. I did this because I knew I ordered through Beyond Menu at least three years ago, but I didn't use that account, I created a new one. Still the restaurant told me I had to notify them of when I moved to the new address because their system had my old address? Wtf. No idea what the background on their end is with beyond menu, but when my order in 2021 clearly states the address I wish the food to be delivered to NOW, it should supersede any address in their system for me, irrespective of my phone number. read more

I ate here for lunch with their lunch special deal. 10$ for fried rice/noodles/white rice with protein entree , soup and egg rolls. They used real chicken and real ingredients but the sauces and super fried taste was awful (was not even crispy). Wife's food was salty in all area and overly sauced - like coated with sauce like their covering the low quality of the food. I got sesame chicken with complimentary fried rice, spring rolls, hot & sour soup. Mine meal was extremely salty as well and had 50/50 percent ratio of sauce to chicken which was unpleasant. All in all, the food was not good, I felt awful afterwards but I guess you get what you pay for. HOWEVER! I do recommend this place if you want to save money and get a quick meal for lunch for an Americanize Chinese Food. If you want real Chinese Food, this place ain't it. My first visit to the establishment close to my new home let's me know that I will visit again. I was headed home to prepare for a trip I'm taking beginning tomorrow and though it was not not just 4 PM, I was a bit hungry and did not want to prepare anything once so got home. The place is in a small strip mall with h a newly opened chicken restaurant next door. Since it was so early, I was the only patron. The decor was a surprise for the location - a bit formal with covered chairs and seat backs. Everything looked very pleasant and welcoming, not like a typical take out Chines restaurant. The menu is quite extensive, but I quickly settled on the salt and pepper prawns since they had the option of shell on. The other thing missing were the heads! I also ordered garlic green beans and rice - knowing that this was far too much for me to eat alone, but already thing of the leftovers. I was hungry and just dove n when the food arrived so I didn't take any pictures. Sorry. The shrimp did not disappoint (except for their missing heads). There appeared to be about a pound of very nice sized shrimp. They had been fried precisely and had pieces of crisply fried garlic and also onions on a bed of lettuce instead of the cabbage that I'm used to. They were succulent and the garlic green beans and steamed rice were a great accompaniment. The staff was efficient and pleasant. I look forward to returning to try other offerings - especially their dumplings and Wor Won Ton Soup. The prices Big was fair considering the quality of the ingredients and the portion size.
