[[HIGHLIGHT]]Woodbines is one of those neighborhood bars that serves a few functions: a cozy, casual setting to meet up with friends, a sports bar with beers on tap and TVs playing your favorite team's game, a restaurant with solid and tasty menu items.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]On a warm day there s a table or two for outside seating in front, inside about 35-40 seats including 8-9 at the bar directly to the left upon entry.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Pretty standard Irish pub setup with wood floors and bar, wood panels on the wall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've been here a few times with friends who live in the area and am impressed with their food, nothing that jumps out as fancy but their dishes are hearty and satisfying, and a good value for the neighborhood. The staff is attentive without being overbearing and it's often bustling inside. I can recommend their burgers, Irish sausage roll, scotch egg and sandwiches. My friends enjoy their brunch items as well. They take cash and card, bathrooms are available. Not sure how handicap accessible it is, as there are a couple small stairs at the front door and the front door itself is on the narrower side given it's in an older building.

My friends and I absolutely love Woodbines! Anytime we want to go to a bar for some GREAT food and drinks (my favorites include their frozen drinks... must try! to die for!), we choose Woodbines! Fried Pickles: 5/5 (fried to perfection but make sure you let them cool! we learned the hard way) Woodbines Nachos: 5/5 (can't go wrong with their nachos!) Spinach Artichoke Dip: 5/5 (the chips are the highlight!) Steak Tacos: 4/5 (only took a point off from the texture of the tortilla) The Chicky: 4/5 (yummy! love the slaw) Lamb Burger: 4/5 (would get again!) [[HIGHLIGHT]]Each time we come, we never have a bad time. The bar has great vibes and just feels wholesome.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our servers and bartenders are always so kind and lovely so I can't recommend Woodbines enough! We are forever customers!

That is all the lobster offered in the "Lobster Mac & Cheese". Not even a knuckles worth of meat.

Bar food. Some may call it elevated bar food but it's a facade. Do not go for the lobster Mac and cheese. It tastes like nothing but garlic. I deliberately separated the lobster in it and found a tiny morsel of food. A shame for such a high ticket price item. The short rib grilled cheese was okay, but not worth the ticket price. It's the fish tacos that stood out and again it's not saying much. The waitress was super helpful and understanding and took the entire meal off the bill. Definitely will not be going back again.

Food: I had dinner at Woodbines with my boyfriend last night. It was a chill Tuesday night not too many people dining inside. The food was great. I liked my slider trio the most. I liked that it had pickles and coleslaw inside the slider. It made the slider taste so much better. I liked how crispy their fries were. Service: The service was okay. My boyfriend asked for water for us while we were dining and the waitress didn't bring us any water. We were drinking beer but also wanted some water. Great Long Island city pub. They also have a happy hour drink menu. We both ordered a beer from the happy hour menu. All in all, I'd say a 9/10 recommendation for this pub

Wow! We had the best server! There was 9-of us coming and going & getting together after work to unwind! First time here and just got lucky! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Woodbines has a great lively atmosphere with attentive, friendly servers, perfect ambiance lighting, a few TVs, good food and drinks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We tried the Traditional Spice Box ($23 - chicken, lightly tossed in tempura and sautéed to tender perfection with mixed onions, fresh colorful peppers, & freshly hand cut potatoes. Seasoned with AllSpice and served with a side of our homemade curry sauce) and the Cajun Fries ($10). The Spice Box was great, especially with the curry sauce! The fries were lightly crispy on the outside and I even asked for more Cajun spice because I like all the extras. They have good craft beers on draft and the servers were super friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great bar in the LIC area![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Woodbines is a cozy, consistent neighborhood spot that I love coming to.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place can pack up quick.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have traditionalish pub food that never misses. I ordered the grilled cheese and tomatoes with fries and curry sauce on the side. The curry is a delicious dip, but the fries last night were on a different level. They were perfectly crisp and so good. They have a great happy hour and their cocktails are on point. The service is also always so friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]All in all a terrific low key place to have a bite, drink and a chat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came for brunch! Service- great. Our server was great and had awesome vibes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance - simple clean cute[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food- brunch was very good! The mimosa flight was hitting and tasty. The classic combo was delicious and the French toasty tasted so good and wasn't overly sweet

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The food was good and the price and the atmosphere were good![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I enjoyed having the Irish sausages with gravy!

Froze all day?! OK! Delicious food with veggie and vegan options for non carnivores, big drinks and cocktails menu offers libations for all pallets. Ordered fried pickles, nachos and the beet salad and it was plenty to share with a friend. The fried pickles were perfect. The service was great also, accommodating, and prompt made sure our drinks and waters were never empty. The outdoor seating is perfect for people watching the folks of Long Island City! Woodbines also offers plenty of seating inside at the bar as well as a few tables. Prices are pretty standard for NY, feels more like a restaurant then a pub, I would love to see a happy hour special here in case I missed it. I'll gladly check them out again next time I'm in the neighborhood.

Stopped by Woodbines with a friend after searching for a spot to eat at via Yelp. Saw the reviews and pictures and decided to give this place a shot. Started off a sangria which was ok and Jumbo wings which were solid. For my main, I got the woodbine burger ($17) with truffle fries ($2 extra) which was also solid. For dessert got the chocolate lava cake ($9) which was good but the chocolate did not flow like lava from the initial breaking of the cake. Overall a good experience with good service.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun bar with TVs and very solid food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The lobster mac and cheese is great and I also really enjoyed the chicky. Their fried pickles are superb and the Irish box is good as well. The half roast chicken was a miss and a bit dry. Mixed on service the first time I went it was amazing the second not as great and pretty standard we had to ask for glasses of water a few times but it was much busier than the first time.

Cuisine: 8 Service: 7…read moreDecor: 7 Value: 8 Overall: 8 Four of us came here because I heard their fish and chips are very good. I am a sucker for this famous British/Irish deep fried goodness. Well, I can say without a doubt that this version is excellent (8.5/10) as described. The dish comes with three pieces that are crispy and tender. However, they gotta make a better tartar sauce than the ones they served in packets. Also, we switched out chips for onion rings. They were fantastic! I also really enjoyed their French Onion Soup (8/10) and the Shepherds Pie (7.5/10). The soup was flavorful without being too salty like most restaurants, while the pie had relatively fluffy mash potato with tasty ground beef mixture. The only item that was a slight letdown was the Chicken Pot Pie (6/10). The puff pastry was decent and so was the cream sauce. The problem was the overcooked and dry chicken breast meat. Our server was very friendly and always had a smile on her face. Btw, even though the space was basically a dive bar, the energetic 60's and 70's music was definitely a plus. Therefore, I gave it a slightly higher score for decor. All in all, this was a great experience.

And that is why I boycotted them. Everything was very lax at that time, with little enforcement from the SLA. In October, my partner and I headed back to try their Irish breakfast and to see how things had improved. At the time, a large party was being held in their backroom, and we were not prepared to wait forever. We asked to speak with the owner, Mike Peacock, and told him we had to be at church to ring the church bells. We appreciated his dedication to getting us our food on time, but to be really honest, the Irish breakfast was not the best that could have been made.
