My go to place for a quick beer or a nice spot to sit outside. I often go for their sour beer as it's fresh and not too bitter. They're usually having some event in woodburn during the summer so it's a great drop in spot. Lots of space outside and I can always bring my dog. On a nice day, this is one of my favorite outdoor spaces. The outdoor patio area with picnic table seating is great for small groups or for getting solo work done. A little further back, near the parking lot, there's a grass area. When it's warmer out, the brewery provides games, such as cornhole that folks can play while enjoying their favorite brew. I didn't give 5 stars because I generally only enjoy going to Woodburn when it's nice outside. There are some near by competitors that, I feel like, have better ambiance inside of their establishments. The brew flavors are pretty good. Again, unfortunately there's some tough competition not to far up the road but Woodburn's brews are solid. As long as it's nice out, they have my business. read more

Current review: The old brewer was awesome, but he got forced out the door by his partner. The beers have fallen off significantly since. The recent stories coming out about a employee with cancer being treated badly & had his income misreported, along with others from various women who were singled out & treated terribly made me decide I will no longer be a customer. I was a member of the mug club, but have permanently retired this & my t-shirt as well. I can no longer recommend Woodburn to anyone. I really do just love this place! Great beer selection- new ones in, new ones out. Friendly staff that is helpful if you're new! Great atmosphere. Lots of windows and natural light. This was such a great local craft brewery in the Cincinnati area. The selection of brews available are all equally delicious and have there own style. The few that stuck out to me were: chocolate cherry stout, the cream ale, and pineapple saison. Overall, there brew selection was great and you won't be disappointed coming here. The atmosphere at this place was also just really nice and chill. Everyone was very friendly, the bartenders made recommendations as far as what brews were good and gave samples as well. The music playlist they had going this night made the night even more enjoyable. Kudos to whomever chose 90s music to play all night it was great. I've been to Woodburn Brewing twice and am so--attracted--to the place. It's a good, easy vibe. The beer's incredible. I've had only 1 menu item, just a chicken sandwich, and was completely blown away. I looked at my husband and said, "This sandwich is incredible!" I love being inside, at the stools facing out onto the street, to people-watch. I love seeing younger and older people walk through the doors, and families. I love that they have live music, though wish it were more often. Staff, friendly. I've been out in the garden part. I liked it, too, but it seemed cramped, and there was broken glass in the adjacent parking lot that my dog accidentally walked through when he came with us one time (Walking through the lot was the only way we could get our dog to the garden part). During a recent visit to Cincinnati, I was able to stop into The Woodburn Brewery based on the recommendations of a Twitter follower. I arrived Saturday afternoon around 3 pm to find the tap room packed. I later learned that TWB had their first bottle release earlier in the day and still had customers coming in to sample and purchase bottles to go. The atmosphere here is downright awesome, yes it can be loud however that is partly due to the awesome soundtrack of mid/late 80's to early 90's music playing setting a perfect tone. The Woodbury Brewery also appears to be pet-friendly, as several customers were enjoying a beer with their four-legged friends. Seating varies from barstools, tables, to high top tables and even a small outside patio so no matter what you will find the perfect place to enjoy a beer. Now as far as the beer goes this is probably some of the best in Cincinnati, however, this is not for the college crowd expecting a cheap drink as a flight of three tasters will run you $10. However, I strongly believe in quality over quality and TWB believes in that motto too because there is some real quality going into their beers. During my visit, I was able to taste nine of their beers and I have to admit that it is going to be hard to pick a favorite as they were all amazing. However the real standout here had to be the Chocolate Mint Imperial Stout, which tasted exactly like a Thin Mint Girl Scout cookie, it was downright amazing. Other highlights included the Watermelon Cucumber Wheat & Lactose Loves Peaches. Overall The Woodburn Brewery is a rock solid addition to the Cincinnati craft beer scene, and without a doubt, I will most certainly be back the next time I am in town! read more

Stopped in for an evening meal with my wife and daughter. We selected this place because of the 4.5 stars. Unfortunately our meal and service did not live up to even a 2 star rating. 2 burgers w/fries and an order of "Asian" cauliflower bites. Burgers were good but fries were cold and soggy. The fried cauliflower must have been frozen because it was also cold and soggy. Condiment bottles were gross and filthy. Service at the kitchen food pick up counter was less than helpful, rather dismissive of a request for a fork and some napkins. Ugh. Never ever coming back here. 2 beers were ok. read more

I've been here twice now and both times I've really loved the space and how laid back it is here compared to the bigger breweries in Cincinnati. The bartenders have all been friendly, even offering my boyfriend a beer on the house (so they have him for a customer now!). I've not loved the beers I've tried, but it's such a cool atmosphere that it keeps me wanting to go back. I love seeing cool businesses pop up in this area. This is a great addition to this neighborhood. They did an excellent job claiming this space. It is very nicely done. The entire front of the building opens up. Awesome! They have a nice private outdoor seating area too. I took the opportunity to try their Amber. It is one of their staples. I loved this thing. It is a flavor bomb! Very malty and very well structured. I could drink that all day and be happy. :) They also offer wine and cocktails which is great because my wife is not a beer fan. After sitting there for 15 minutes with zero human interaction, aside from one passing 'hi' from a bartender we left. Apparently unless you scan the stupid QR code you don't get to speak with anyone? We were reminded last night of just how great Woodburn is. A big group of us went for a couple drinks with our pups. The atmosphere is so cool and very aesthetically pleasing. They have a killer beer selection, and as a wine drinker, good wines (for a brewery)! What I love most though is the friendly people you meet just from bonding over a drink, the neighborhood, and a love of dogs. Sometimes bringing a dog to an establishment can create drama among some, but at Woodburn everybody gets it and appreciates the presence of all the different doggos. The Woodburn has been a long time coming in the East Walnut Hills resurgence, and its long-awaited arrival could have made for a disappointing grand opening. We have anticipated its opening for more than 18 months, and it has been anything but disappointing in the past couple of weeks since the soft opening. The Woodburn has been holding events over the past year and a half -- most notably during Walks on Woodburn each month and the 2015 and 2016 Flying Pig Marathons -- so we have been fortunate to watch Cincinnati's newest brewery come to life. It has surpassed my expectations in service, quality of beer, and the overall look of the space. It is stunning. The beer has been solid, though my personal favorites are the Pale Ale, Steinpils, and Belgian Wit. I also really like the Belgian Quad, though all of the beers are pretty dang good. I also love their take on flights, as they are served in threes for $6. They take up very little space, which is great when The Woodburn is as crowded as it has been over the past couple of weeks and counter real estate is a bit hard to come by. Other highlights worth mentioning: - There is typically a food truck - There is lot and street parking - There is free wifi - There are TVs - There is a back patio - It is dog-friendly The Woodburn is a great addition to the neighborhood, and, with The Growler House, O Pie O, Suzie Wong's, Cafe DeSales, Kitchen 452, and Myrtle's Punch House nearby, I highly recommend East Walnut Hills as your next day or night out. read more

So this place is beautiful - hands down. And guess what? They serve things other than IPA's! I had the chocolate cherry stout (9% alcohol) and oh boy was it delicious. It tasted more of chocolate, with a note of cherry at the end, and smelled like cherry coke! My friend got the Pineapple beer and it was rather sweet. I am excited for this location, and have been waiting for Woodburn to finally open up. I know they are supposed to be coming out with a lot more beers on tap after this past weekend's soft opening, so I will be back to try more! read more

This brewery has such a nice selection of great beers. I tried the wheat beer and it was mighty nice! The atmosphere is rustic with old wooden floors. There is ample room on the patio for a cigar group, and food can be delivered from anywhere in Clifton. We ordered a pizza from Adtiatticos and it was cheap and delicious. I got a flight - which come in threes. Since it was summer, I went with fruity, light choices, all of which I highly enjoyed. The highlights were the watermelon beer which wasn't as watery as others I have tried, and an awesome strawberry ale. If you're into trying something awesome but really out there, go for the Han Solo, which looks like a wheat beer but has a coffee aroma and taste (without the bitterness). Very excited to see this place finally opening. Not sure my liver is up to the task for all the cuties breweries but I'll give it a try. The space is lovely and filled with natural light. The industrial and simple design is very well done. Looks like they will have an outdoor space at some point. We were going to go out there but there was a lonely table with no chairs. We stood at the bar and had a nice time. It is kind of loud so I will be going before the crowd next time. I had the Cedar IPA which was very nice. I tried a mini flight of three more and liked them all. The pineapple ale was very refreshing. The service was fast and well informed on the beers. I don't think they need to go crazy with a fancy menu but offering simple snacks would help (chips, popcorn, or nuts). A great addition to Walnut Hills. read more
