Great food, amazing service, and a family friendly dining room! The menu is full of amazing Italian dishes - you truly cannot go wrong! I've eaten here with both large parties, and with just one other person at the bar, and all experiences have been great! The "fried mozz brick" and "really good bread & butter" are my favorite apps. The "buzzkill" pizza and the "basil pesto pappardelle" are my favorite dishes. I highly recommend sharing a bunch of different plates!

Quick rating : Food 5/5 Service 3.5/5 Ambiance 4/5 The food here is yummy. Whatever option you go with really is yummy. We ordered several items off the menu and everything came out perfectly. Even the kid's pizza was amazing, I had to steal a slice. Service however is not ideal. Our server was Emma or Emily (not sure) took her time between each time she visited the table. We finished our waters and wanted more and she was not around. The restaurant is nicely decorated and eye pleasing. Overall it's a great experience and would definitely go again.

Dined here on a Friday night - busy and for good reason! The space is beautiful - large bar available, plenty of seating, they even have designated spaces for large party rooms. We started with some appetizers. In order of preference: bread and honeycomb, bread and butter, polenta shrimp pops. The other items looked great on the menu also. The original Mr Beef was highlighted as a favorite - good especially if you like hot giardinara. The sausage fest was a little too heavy for my tasting- overload on meats and felt greasy and soggy but flavor was good. The menu has a good amount of pizza options and gluten free crust is available which is great. The dough was more crunchy than doughy which was a nice surprise. Great under carriage. Absolute shout out to our server Leah T - she was attentive, kind, accommodating and such a pleasure to have as a server. She made our first experience exquisite. The rest of the staff was attentive and quick to clean tables which was nice. I would recommend this place in the area! The pizzas are priced a little higher than others but the ingredients are high quality and every dish that walked past us looked excellent. Kudos!

Came here twice, and sat outside both times but the place looks really trendy inside. Really like this location, I feel like menu has more to offer than the Lemont location. Service is pretty quick as well which is a plus if you come with kids. We enjoyed some salads and pizza.

Very spacious. I think they have a party room. The decor is very cozy and the outside is going to be so nice in the summer. The drinks were good. The food had a nice variety and good taste. We went around lunch time on the weekend, so it was surprising that the service was so limited. Getting a table took a while (it was pretty empty) and service was very slow. We waited so long, around 20-30 minutes, we contemplated going elsewhere.

Love wooden paddle, we often visit the one in lemont since we're nearby which has more of a farmhouse vibe inside and very close tables but this new location in Lagrange is more of a modern vibe and spacious, there's multiple rooms to rent out for parties and feels a little more classy. Everything was so good! Our favorite is always the truffle mushroom pizza

Not pictured but the fig jam pizza is amazing!! My favorite pizza here. The fig jam is made in house and it really shines. The friend polenta with shrimp was delicious but I think adding a hit of spice would make it a 10/10 for me. But I would still order again since it's still super solid. The angel hair pasta was solid. I don't usually like this style of pasta but ordered it because my wife wanted it. I was pleasantly surprised by this! The drinks are also very well made and delicious. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The decor and vibes are fantastic as well and can see the dedication from the owners in every inch of this place.

What a beautiful space! Wooden Paddle LaGrange is a totally different vibe than their location in Lemont. This space is sexier, more sophisticated, and upscale. My husband and I visited and sat at the bar. I ordered the Moonmilk as recommended by the bartender. The color was not what I was expecting. The taste was subtle and more acidic than the description read but it was good and balanced. I also ordered their Goat Cheese Arancini. It came with four large balls with a dollop of sauce on top of each. They were perfectly crispy and savory. I did notice while visiting that their menu changes seasonally. They had less pastas than I remembered and some of our favorite items were no longer being served. I recommend previewing the menu online before visiting to ensure they have what you want.

There were always people waiting outside of this restaurant every time I went to the Mexican restaurant across the street. I was curious why it was that busy so I made reservations online for a Saturday night. We were seated promptly as we walked in for our reservation. We were seated at a table near the bar and I think that it was a better area. The rest of the dining area was very busy and loud. I like the interior and vibe of the restaurant. Our server was attentive and friendly. For this visit, I tried: POLENTA SHRIMP POPS- these were good THE BEST DUCKIN' RAGU- the pasta and duck were cooked well but the whole dish did not have any flavor. It was very bland. BLACKBERRY-MERLOT SHORT RIB- the meat was SUPER dry. I tried eating it together with the puree and the whipped ricotta but the meat was just too dry to chew. BUTTER CAKE- we were given this as a complimentary treat because we were celebrating an event. Unfortunately, the cake was BURNT. The dark (black) brown exterior of the cake speaks for itself. Overall, the place has a lively vibe and clean restrooms. The restrooms are downstairs, past the main dining area. The drinks were ok. The food? I don't think I'll be running back to eat here again, but maybe I'll try their pizza if I do come back.

Porchetta pizza. Lovely presentation but so greasy.
    Stacy M.

Beautiful presentation on the really good bread and butter, as well as the polenta fries. The bread and butter was outstanding. Our plates were quite messy after. When our salad came, in one large bowl, we weren't offered clean dishes. We had to ask for them. We had a pizza and a pasta. Both very underwhelming. The pizza was oily, I didn't finish my piece. The pasta was flavorless. Sad thing is, we came in for Restaurant Week. Isn't that when the restaurants choose their most popular or most delicious dishes to represent the restaurant? I can't say our food was bad; it was just meh.

    Fire & Ice (tequila)

Visited this location for a sponsored event but stayed to enjoy a cocktail. I tried the Fire & Ice cocktail which is traditionally made with Mezcal. I asked that they substitute this for a blanco tequila. I enjoyed my cocktail but wanted to more spice. The FIRE & ICE was made with passionfruit liqueur, fresh lime juice, simple syrup habanero bitters, fresh basil. On this occasion, I also got to try the Grandma's pie. The GRANDMA'S PIE Sweet was made tavern-style tomato sauce, provolone, fresh mozz, freshly grated parm, basil chiffonade. I would order this again as the tomato sauce was complex. Excited to come back and check out the brunch offerings. All the cocktails seemed to have cutesy names and thoughtful presentation. Definitely have the Ube Mai Tai on my radar for summer.

When I first walked in the door, I was like wow this place is classy. It is significantly larger than their Lemont space. The cocktail that I tried was don't take it for pomegranate. It was delicious. I also recommend the fried brie. It is not greasy compared to other cheese curds. For pizza, I enjoyed their grandma's pie (vegetarian), Mr beef (beef and giardinera), and k-bbq (Korean barbecue style). Owners are super friendly. Some things to keep in mind when coming here 1. There is some street parking in front, but the Calendar lot is right here. 2. 4 gender neutral bathrooms located in the basement. They have about 13 steps to go down, or offer an elevator.

Wooden Paddle branched out to a bigger space, and they are making the most of it! Their Lemont location is cozy, but you can really see the labor of love that went into this location. I love that their food and drinks haven't changed in quality. The "Don't take it for pomegranate" is a nice vodka cocktail for any time of day. No judgment here! The ingredients used for the drinks and food here are top notch and lots of which are made in house. All the pizzas here are delicious. Something for everyone, vegetarian, meat eaters, and everyone in between. The space is beautiful inside. The attention to detail shows everywhere you look. Love that this could be a romantic evening, a place to have drinks, or a casual gathering of friends. So happy for the Wooden Paddle family and this new spot in La Grange right off the train stop. I hope they open a new spot by me!

But for a premium price, I expect premium product, and this place is rough around the edges in ways that feel easy to fix. I'm pointing them out in hopes they'll be corrected. First the positive - the food was pretty good. Not great for the price, but pretty good. Drip coffee was better than most diners/cafes in the area. The ambience was pleasant. Here's the issues. 1. The furniture needs a refresh and I don't think the place has even been open that long. The side tables by the window are losing their finish - a fragment of wood got caught under my finger nail as I was sitting down and just lightly grazed the table with my hand. I also brushed away a few additional flakes coming up. The chiffon curtains are charming until you look closer and see they're speckled with food from past diners. A moss ball decoration in the bathroom is missing half its moss. It's little stuff, obviously, but when I spot things like this at a place otherwise charging a premium partially for cute aesthetics, I always get concerned that the lack of attention to detail might also be getting reflected in the food. 2. Value for money and food quality are also an issue. $20 for one slice of sourdough cut in half, a rather overdone French omelette with sour cream on top (not mentioned on the menu and a weird choice) a bowl of fruit I wasn't interested in rather than a choice of free side, and sausages I paid extra for, is not good value to me. The bread was good! The omelette was mediocre. The sausage was very solid, had a slight funk to it that I liked and suggested to me it was made in house - but 7 dollars for two sausage patties is absolutely wild. I would suggest Milkstop rethink the combos on its menu to include more and be priced a touch more transparently. 3. Finally, service. Everyone was VERY KIND, again, want to stress that, but service was slow and rather inattentive for most of the meal. The place was only half full, but water and an initial drink order were slow, and I waited for a while for the check while the staff chatted amongst themselves in the corner of the room. Not trying to be a dick, the life of a service worker is tough, but the place was mostly empty and I noticed they already charge a 3% service gratuity on your orders, so I'd expect a little better. Basically this place has a very charming surface with some wonkiness around the edges. I will definitely come back again but guys, come on - ditch the gross chiffon curtains, for both our sakes.

We arrived on a Friday night just before 9:00 PM and had no trouble finding street parking--always a win. We were greeted by our waitress, Jennifer, who was absolutely amazing. She let us know about their late-night perk: half-price small plates and select drinks on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 PM until close, which is such a great incentive for heading out later in the evening. Jennifer was attentive without being intrusive--our water glasses were always full, she checked in after every course, and her recommendations for both food and drinks were spot-on. We started with a Mad Rose for V and a Chameleon for me. Both cocktails were delicious, and after finishing his Mad Rose, V definitely felt the celebratory spirit kicking in. For appetizers, we shared the Vietnamese Summer Rolls and Sweet Chili Calamari. The summer rolls were light, fresh, and nicely accented with mint. The calamari was sweet with a surprisingly spicy finish--delicious, though the heat was just a bit much for V. I'd happily order both again. For my main course, I had the Wagyu Beef Stroganoff, and wow--hands down the best stroganoff I've ever had. The beef was incredibly tender, and the sauce was perfectly balanced with the noodles. It even paired beautifully with my Chameleon, with subtle lemon notes that complemented each other surprisingly well. V ordered the Tomahawk Pork Chop, cooked medium well and absolutely perfect. He loved every bite. It came with a risotto that he enjoyed, even if it wasn't the standout of the dish. Dessert sealed the deal. We finished with Sandy's White Wine Cake--which reminded me of a carrot cake in the best way--and the Banana Cream Pie, which was easily the best banana cream pie I've ever had. Truly a WOW moment. Between the excellent food, thoughtful service, and great late-night specials, Entourage made V's birthday celebration one to remember. We'll definitely be back. Sorry, I wish I had pics but I left my phone behind today.

I ordered from Entourage Downers Grove and was honestly impressed with how well everything held up for delivery. The standout for me was the lobster bisque. It arrived at the perfect temperature, which is pretty impressive for delivery. The bisque was rich and luscious without feeling overly heavy, and the basil oil added a nice brightness that balanced the creaminess beautifully. It also had a generous amount of lobster, including several large chunks, and was a very solid portion overall. The filet mignon sliders were another highlight. Each slider had a substantial piece of filet mignon topped with pickled onions, microgreens, and horseradish cream on brioche buns. The onions and horseradish added enough acidity and bite to balance the richness of the beef without overpowering it. I also tried the Vietnamese summer rolls, filled with roasted shiitake mushrooms, fresh vegetables, and rice noodles, served with both peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce. Everything tasted very fresh, and the sauces complemented the generously stuffed rolls nicely. My only small critique is that cutting them in half made for a prettier presentation, but made them a little awkward to dip and eat. Overall, this was a surprisingly strong delivery experience, and I would absolutely order from them again, or better yet, make it over to the restaurant itself next time I'm in the area.

Posto 31 is located in Lagrange Park which is just slightly outside and west of the city. Their restaurant week deal is $45 per person for dinner and every adult in the party is required to participate. We tried the following: 1) Pork belly with a brown butter sweet potato mash and apple slaw - This was a delicious and refreshing appetizer. The fat isn't excessive and there is a good sear with the pork belly. I think it was different in a sense that it didn't exactly go with the Italian theme. 2) Arancini with chicken, parmesan, mozzarella, and marinara. This is the standard fare and you can't go wrong with this selection. 3) Faroe Island salmon with squash puree and Brussel sprout slaw. The salmon was well executed and I loved how it was paired with the slaw. 4) Arrabbiata with squid ink linguini and jumbo shrimp. This was the star of the night and what drew our attention when we first reviewed the restaurant week menu. It is rare to find squid ink linguini in the city and neighboring suburbs. The portion was huge and the flavors were absolutely delicious. We are already planning a return to order this again. 5) Tiramisu was the standard fare and once again, the portion was huge. We demolished it though. 6) Cookie skillet had a square of chocolate chip cookie topped with candied pretzels, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream. We did not get to try it because our girls just took it to town. So needless to say, it was thoroughly enjoyed. We also ordered the kids' an eight inch pepperoni pizza. It was more than enough for our two girls to share.
