Arrived Saturday morning within an hour of opening to avoid waiting, and luckily there was no wait! The ambiance is nice and modern. SERVICE Fantastic! Both the hostess and our server were amazing. The food came out quickly and water was topped off multiple times. FOOD I got the House Hash and it definitely looked better than it tasted. The short rib was very tender but could use more time marinating/seasoning. The amount of crème fresh was very overwhelming on the palate and sadly took over the entire dish. Potatoes were overcooked. Matcha Latte was yummy and came with a cube of sugar. My sister liked the Chai Latte. Went on a Saturday around 11:30am and it was packed. Three of us still signed up and got seated at the bar in about 8 minutes despite the long queue. Not bad at all. The vibe is industrial but cozy. Service was efficient, and wait time is average. And the food?Delicious. So delicious! I really liked the chicken and biscuit. The chicken was perfectly crunchy outside and juicy inside, the biscuit was soft and buttery, and the hot honey added a nice kick. My friend got the pancakes and they looked so fluffy! Service is quick and friendly too. It's a cute vibe inside too! It took about 10 minutes for our party of 4 to be seated at a table, even though the queue said it would be a 25-35 minute wait. If you see a long wait, perhaps don't lose hope too quickly and stay nearby in case you get called early. They do release your reservation 15 minutes after notifying you the table is ready. Also, when making a reservation, there's an option to choose exclusively either the bar or a dining table. Honestly might have just found my new favorite brunch spot. Don't come with a large group unless you're ready for a wait. Even for 2 people at 11:30am, the wait was around 30 minutes. But the wait is worth it. We each got a cocktail- I got this bourbon chai tea cocktail that was amazing and my friend got an espresso martini that she really enjoyed. We shared an order of the Swedish pancakes, I got the Chinese chicken salad, and she got the tuna melt. Everything was delicious. The Swedish pancakes are ADDICTIVE- great flavor and great texture. I was stuffed and still kept going back for more. The Chinese chicken salad is a contender for best salad in the city in my opinion. And the tuna melt was BIG and very flavorful. On other tables, many of the dishes we didn't order looked so good and I almost regretted not getting more (until I realized I was super full). I need to go back and explore the menu more. The entrées were good, just nothing that particularly stood out overall, but it was an enjoyable meal and I left satisfied. The salmon scramble was my favorite. It was super creamy, the arugula balanced it nicely, and the potatoes were really crispy. Really lovely dish. The fruit it came with, though, didn't taste particularly fresh and was better left off the plate. The ambiance was a highlight. The space felt very cozy and quiet, especially since we went a little after 8am, which made for a relaxed experience. Service was also fast and attentive. The chai latte, however, was disappointing. It tasted really watery and didn't resemble a chai latte at all. I wasn't able to finish it. That said, the restaurant kindly removed it from our bill, which was appreciated. Such a gem of a place! Came here for brunch with my girl friend and will definitely be returning more often. The place is located on Market street, as you walk in you pass the bar and a smaller seating area, we were seating in the dining room next to large windows that allowed the sunlight in on such a beautiful day. To drink I ordered a cappuccino which wasn't my favorite. I would prefer more foam as this one seemed a bit watered down or more similar to a latte. My friend had the nitro cold brew which I will definitely be ordering next time around. For food we ordered the pancakes for the table, absolutely delicious! Similar to crepes, had slight tang (possibly from yogurt?) and though soft they also had crispy edges. The custard and lingonberry compote complemented very well. I had the harvest bowl which came with sweet potatoes, mushrooms, pesto farro, arugula, tahini sauce and pickled red onions. Add on eggs and bacon. Was delicious, seasoned well and great option for someone looking for healthier alternatives. My friend had the fried chicken and biscuits (which I tried) and man oh man, I wish my health was good to order this as my main entree.... Maybe one day when I decided a cheat meal is needed. The chicken was crispy, seasoned perfect and juicy, biscuit was large and soft (not overworked at all). It came with a sweet and spicy glaze and herb butter that accompanied everything so well. I wanted to try a new brunch spot so this place up on yelp and I came here around 2pm on a Sunday and surprisingly there was still a wait! Parking around this area could be difficult, but luckily we got a spot. I would recommend Ubering or taking public transportation here. You just put yourself on the virtual waitlist and wait to get called. I liked the eggs Benedict, but I thought it was really overpriced. The Panini was also good along with the arugula it would be better if they had more dressing on the arugula though. The French toast was average and there happened to be a hair under the French toast. We tried to flag someone down to let them know, but the service here is not attentive and we sat at the bar too. I probably have it 2-3 times a month after I workout across the street at my gym or sometimes in the mornings if I'm in the area. Eggs, Salmon and Arugula are already everyday staples in my diet. They'll know me as the guy that always sits at the bar and requests this dish "light on the creme fraiche". I have a thing for sitting at bars due to eating sushi a lot and I like watching the staff prepare meals. To me it shows confidence in their protocols. The ambiance has a cozy and wooden decor vibe. They do a great job of keeping everything clean and maintained. The service is great as they're often on top of the simplest of details and sometimes they already know my order when I arrive. I've also enjoyed the Huevos Divorciados and they make good pancakes. I love this restaurant. It's simplicity as its best. Solid brunch spot if you get the right things. I've been a couple times on the weekend, and there's been a mild wait (~10 min) but nothing crazy compared to other brunch spots in the city. I really like the Big Spoon - it's a very classic American brunch, and the buttermilk pancakes are perfectly done, with crispy potatoes and eggs your way. The house hash was also rich and yummy. Not everything here is good though -- the Muesli my friend got tasted very odd (was cold, not sweet, and tasted a bit chemically)? And a different friend has also disliked their food here. Came in on a Monday a little after noon. It was busy. There's a bit of a bottleneck at the door. I hate the lay out. There's tables right at the front window nearest the door and a bar were people an eat right up front. There's no breathing room in the entrance at all. So at a few points the door was held open as people came in and out. We sat right up front at the bar bc I didn't wait with the people waiting in line to be sat at a table as people pushed thru to leave going between the line and the people sitting at the bar area. So besides all that... the food was amazing. I got the FRIED CHICKEN & BISCUIT for $18 buttermilk biscuit, hot honey, honey butter. The hot honey trend is the best trend and this place did it right. It wasn't drowning in the sauce and I didn't have to ask for more. The biscuit was covered under the chicken and sauce and it was so yummy with the sauce and without.
