It'd be a fennel-ly to not finish this plate of fried chicken and fried rice, with hints of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisines, due to a mild licorice-sweetness. And as a fried rice freak, I'd throw a tantrum had this fried rice not been fluffy, with each morsel separated like that of biryani (thank goodness there were no raisins, though). The space was a lot bigger, which meant a lot more seating and generally we didn't feel like we were cramped (we also had luggage with us, so we wanted to make sure that we had enough space to put our luggage down). Also, they seemed to have a few more options here in terms of the drinks and such, which was interesting. We love that they serve halal chicken since my friend eats halal only. The portion they give is always great, and we got our favorites - the chicken and waffle and the chicken benedict. They even added strawberries on my waffle for free. We could also tell that the family who owns the place was there. One of the men kept checking up on us and chatting with us, which was very nice of him. They were also conducting interviews and just chatting with other patrons/regulars while we were there. Definitely a cozy brunch type of vibe. It is so sweet that they get to know their customers.
