Quite possibly the worst place to get braces for your kid from. Every single person here has a nasty attitude, from the receptionist to the orthodontists. The assistants write unprofessional things in their notes about patients/ relatives, which I happened to accidentally see about my child before they quickly moved away their computer. On top of that, the orthodontist does not allow any time for questions and has a terrible bedside manner. I hope you realize people are paying you, completely out of pocket in my case, for a basic level of decent service. Fix your attitude. Certainly won't be recommending this place to anyone. read more

Nasty nasty nastydo not go here my daughter is pt here I'm am certainly looking for another place to get serviced the assistant are rude the doctor is the worst rough with children not warming at all my daughter terrified of them they do not make you feel comfortable or welcomed. My daughter had her bracket sticking in her gum and we went there in the dentist. The doctor asked if I want it removed and I said is it taken in her gum and he said not really very nasty and I said, but it's bothering her because she was crying all weekend and he just yanked it out. My daughters feet were curled up and she was tears rolling down her eyes no warning nothing rude. read more

Got my braces on @woodhaven Braces by Doctor Kuncio in 2015 He told me I gotta remove 4 teeth before I get braces ! coz I had so much teeth and was very crowded !! Which caused me to have so many gaps now coz of that stupid decision! My sister had the same issue and her orthodontist never told her to remove 4 teeth !! And her teeth are amazing now !!! I stayed with the braces on for more than 3 years!! I even got pregnant gave birth and still wearing the braces!! When I removed them last year, 2018 they were perfectly fine & I loved them! No complains! & when the girl did the retainer cast !! She took forever and she kept doing the paste over and over 4 times.!! They told me to leave the retainer for 3 months only !!!!! I left the country for a while Wore my retainer day & night & I realize the 2 front teeth, no 8 & 9 are shifted ! One was out & the other was in like shown in the photo ! Visited a dentist in another country & he told me to show him the retainer, he made me realize the retainer wasn't straight!!!! And this is how my teeth took the same shape of the wrong retainer ! I immediately stopped wearing the retainer in consideration that I been wearing it DAY & NIGHT FOR 2 & half months and that messed it up didn't straighten it!! Like u can see in the pic !! & that means 2 things !! -Either my teeth weren't straight when I removed the braces or -the lady doing the retainer messed the cast up with the right pressure which I believe is what happened !! So after I came back to nyc I called in for an appointment to share my story & They said it's not their problem I gotta wait for DR Kuncio coz he's the boss! Waited till July till he's back & when I gave another visit he starts saying weird stuff like " I have a tooth that's longer than the other ! Seriously!! How come my LONG tooth showed when wearing the retainer !!!!!!!!!!!! This is stupid & ridiculous & when I asked if he can accommodate me since it's their fault he said I'm still gonna have to pat & he kept insisting I did not wear my retainer and that it's my fault which is wrong !! The lady who wrote that on my file on the computer when he was on vacation is a liar! She wrote I did not wear my retainer even tho I did not say that and even tho I been wearing it day and night and wearing it is what messed up my teeth !!! When he said he can't accommodate me and that I need to speak to the front desk ! And when I started telling her the story she said it's not her problem & DR KINCIO is the boss ! So I wasn't sure who is the boss here ! Took my 3 year old & slammed the door! And I plan on reviewing them everywhere on google, Yelp, zocdoc, and my huge social media platforms coz this is ridiculous & they should've accommodated me after I paid 5000 dollars & xrays & a retainer that was messed up !! So terrible and I will spread my story everywhere for awareness !! I hope the door I slammed was broke & I hope karma will get you someday !! Do not come to this place for your teeth. There are plenty of other places that will treat you professionally and will give you a wonderful smile. The front desk staff is very very rude. They have no manners and do not possess any sense of professionalism. Some of the orthodontists are nice and capable but the "boss" is not. The front desk assistants never smile at you or even greet you and talk amongst one another. They start talking badly about patients in Spanish and do not even look up when you come in for your appointment. That is their job but they seem to always have an attitude with everyone. I don't understand how this place still operates. The google reviews are not accurate. The negative reviews on this app are very accurate. Choose a different place if you want a beautiful smile along with people who will treat you like they have manners.This place is extremely inconvenient and doesn't cater to your wants and needs at all. We have work and kids as well and can not keep coming in for poor service especially if people are PAYING for their service. They look like they all want to rush out and do not put the needs of their patients first. They also take very long and unnecessarily remove teeth that cause gaps that are difficult to close later on. A two-year process should not turn into 4. In 2015 Sonia was supposed to submit claims to the insurance company for November and December 2015. Plus bill the insurance company for the retainer. When I called the insurance company I was told it was never submitted. I asked Sonia why it was not processed. She said that she thought that I no longer have the insurance. I explained to her that the insurance was still active. She said that she would submit claims but she never did. So I got over overcharged because Sonia failed to do her job. I still have all my payments made to Sonia by check plus all the payments that was paid by insurance company. I also have the rude letters from the office. While trying to resolve issue. This was error on Sonia part I I should not be overcharged. read more

i hate this place, the staff in the back is nice but the front desk is terrible, i was here last month in the beginning of october and the receptionist had a nasty attitude with me, i was making my son an appointment and i was picky about it because i work but the lady rolled her eyes at me. She also talks so loud its so annoying, we are supposedly in a professional place and this is how you act. She talks so loud with the manager and i am not the first one to say this because my sister takes her daughter here too. i don't understand why talk about something that isn't work related. I was deciding to get braces and have been searching different places for quotes and analysis to get different views on what I can do to improve my smile. I saw that my insurance was covered here so, I decided to come in and see what I can get done. The outside of the building reminds me of a car dealership, it's loud and uninviting. It's basically screaming we do braces here come inside but in a sleezy, unprofessional kind of way. For the record, that's not exactly what turned me off. I go inside, I was a little late for my appointment so I understood I had to wait. Then I noticed that there was a sign on the wall that said that there is no specific wait time (Oh no). Then I looked around (As I sat for an hour) and noticed that the place looks unkempt, the water cooler was empty, the receptionist (a young girl) kept huffing and puffing stating that she hated her job. The chairs aren't that comfortable and aren't very organized. The color is loud, like a neon green color and it was saying to me (Run fast, get outta here!). Anyway, I waited. Then I was tired of waiting mostly because I just worked 12 hours and came directly after work. So...... I ask the receptionist "When is the best time to come, you know, when it's less busy?" She said just a moment they will call you in about 5 minutes.... I waited. Next.... I go in, not to just any exam room... Oh no, that would have been very acceptable. Let me explain, they have dental chairs with tray tables (about 3 of them) all lined up next to one another. Now, you may be saying She's exaggerating, but I kid you not. I looked to my right and saw a little girl getting her braces looked at. I saw her mouth open, I clearly heard everyone's conversation, and if I wanted I could have thrown a piece of paper and aimed to hit anything in the room. Yes, right next to each other. Anyway, so a girl I am assuming and hoping works there, ushered me to my seat, I look at her and she looked unkempt, wearing a hoodie, and no, I don't think she had on a uniform. Next she dumps all the dental material for my mouth on top of my registration form..... Yes, on top of my registration form that I saw at least 5 people touch including myself before it got to the tray and she added a regular digital $50 Sony camera (Red) that looked dirty and scratched up to the tray along with everything else that was now contaminated. I said excuse me... Not to sound like a germophobic but is that for me? Are those instruments going to go into my mouth? She replied "Yes" I said, can you please replace them, not have the camera in the tray and replace the paper and remove the registration form. Everything is now contaminated. Well, after some huffing and puffing she just threw more items in the tray unopened, didn't clean the table, didn't replace the tray paper. Now, I know that you cannot and are not supposed to do that as that kind of contamination can give you an infection in your mouth. Anyway, there was a dentist with blond hair sitting about 3 feet away treating the patient with the braces that I told you about earlier in my short story/essay and not only did she not say anything, she didn't even pick her head up; I purposely increased my voice to see if she would look and no, nothing. So, I got up and walked out. There are just some things you don't do.... That's a few of those things. I hope they read this to at least add some wall dividers inbetween the patients as I would not have answered any questions or have opened my mouth unless done properly, they should practice medical asepsis and lastly.... Clean your office, repaint and replace some of those ceiling tiles. I have never been in a dentist office and felt like I needed a shower because the place looked dirty. SMH read more

So I been coming here for like two years. It was okay in the beginning but they recently put new dentist assistant and they are the worst. My son had broken a racket which he has in the past so I know I have to pay 50 dollars for it, so she sends my son to tell me and I told my son it's okay I'll pay it. Then 5 minutes later she comes to me to tell me the same thing she send my son to tell me I told her I know and it will get pay. She act like I wasn't going to pay so she has me annoyed already. I go to the first to pay and tell the front girl use the card on file. She goes to make the transaction and then tell me my card don't work. I told her impossible you take out your payment every month like clock work and don't have a issue so I gave her the card turn out she push the numbers wrong. I'm super annoyed by this time. My son comes out and tells me the girl was nasty to his and has attitude with him because he broke a racket. This is not the first time someone was nasty to him about the same thing that I always pay. They act like they pay for it. Very unprofessional. They also talking about other patients in Spanish in front of them. I will not be going back. Plus the manager act like she lost. They need a new staff asap read more

What can I tell you about this office. First, I call to make an appointment and to take off my daughters braces. They tell me that it cost $400 in total with retainers and taking them off. I then go to the office ready to pay and they tell me that retainers are now $600 only. These people are so unprofessional, they give you attitude the girls at the front desk are rude and pricey. They then put it in the system that I am there for a consultation, when I specifically said I was going to take off my daughters braces, the doctor had no clue on what she was doing. There so DISORIENTATED!!! NEVER coming here again!! read more

I would recommend this place, the atmosphere is very nice and warming.Honestly I have never been to any doctor/dental office and get such great reception.
