Red Snapper Ceviche. I always come to the market to get a fresh filet when I'm going to make ceviche.

This place has the best selection and the freshest fish in Houston. They have almost every time of fish you could imagine. In addition to the fish, they have other things like 5 kinds of oysters, mussels, clams, octopus, blue crabs, crab legs, crawfish. They also have fresh made ceviche, olives, real Greek Feta, and a number of other items. The staff are really friendly and extremely helpful. They also take extra time to make sure that they clean the fish properly and that all of the bones are removed. My two girls really appreciate this as finding a bone early in a meal can really turn a kid away from enjoying the fish. My kids devour the fish from this place and I know it's because of how fresh it is and the care they take in helping prepare the fish. If you have been buying fish from a grocery store you have no idea what you are missing.

It's nice to have a place where you can get a variety of fish year round. And not the same old salmon, cod, and shrimp that you find at H-E-B and Kroger. Sure you're gonna spend a little more than you would for the regular varieties but when you're in the mood for fresh red fish and or snapper this is the place to go. Just pick out the fish you want and they will cut however your heart desires. On the half shell, filleted, or keep it whole and just gut it. They do this free of charge but I usually tip my guy a few bucks. They also have crawfish and oysters in season and around here that's a must. Nothing better than roasted oysters at a crawfish boil in the Spring. If you get a chance to pick Lou's mind he is a wealth of knowledge and good for a recipe or two if you need one. I have impressed more than a few people by cooking up fresh catch from Woodlands Seafood. It's not your every day market but for special occasions I won't shop anywhere else.

Husband got crawfish today and it was the best. Good size and very fresh. We got the more expensive deep sea ones but definitely worth it. Very very clean and only need to rinse it and soak in salt water for 30 min. Will definitely go back more often before the season ends.

Can't wait to eat these bad boys!

I love this place and it's probably why I've come here for years. Yes, it's a bit pricey but only because the quality is top notch. They normally have a big selection and it's all very fresh. What's also important to note is the staff here is extremely friendly and very customer focused.
