I called them exactly 11 minutes after they had posted a Craigslist advertisement for "$1400 a month room" and when I asked about it they told me they had already sold out of the $1400 special rooms but they had some $1950 plus tax rooms available. And then when they added it all together "after tax" it ended up being over $2200 a month. I do not know how they calculate their tax but that's definitely more than the 9.5% sales tax. I could not recommend this hotel any less. As I went to check in, I mentioned I am traveling with my ESA after booking, as another location as well as corporate never attempted to render any pet fees or regulations on pets. Once I got there, they attempted to charge $95 for the 7 day stay which I've never encountered in 4 years of having an ESA. Not only that but the General Manager, Katrina McClelland, immediately escalated the matter beyond discussing a simple policy. Her communication style immediately (and I mean, immediately) became combative, aggressive and intense, rather than collaborative or resolution oriented. I had favorable encounters with another front desk attendant, Rob, and tried to discuss the matter with him. He was nice, but some comments were off and just really disconcerting after a full day of travel and wanting to seamlessly check in and get settled in a/c. After I said I would consider the pet fees, I asked what it might take to cancel the booking if I needed to, expressing some concern about the GM's communication style (Attempting to put it in the kindest way possible) and shared it was making me a bit uncomfortable and I wanted to know if staying here would be a favorable experience for me. Rob jumped in again and told me not to worry about that. In the moment, Katrina said "there's no reason for you to be uncomfortable" "that's up to you" "any cancellation will be between you and your booking agent." I had asked for a room close to an exit for my dog as she had been attacked by another dog at my previous accomodations in another state (as I was in the process of relocating), again, she was unnecessarily rude and un-collaborative and acted like asking was personally putting her out, which is just incredibly odd behavior I've never encountered anywhere else in the US at a hotel. I told them I would consider my options and went outside. When I came back to pay the fees, Katrina became retaliative and harassing in her communications. She then declined my booking, saying "she would just be more comfortable given everything to do that," implying what I said earlier about feeling uncomfortable given how combative she had become. (Hate to inform you, that is retaliation which is a form of harassment). It's been 4 days and I have not received any refund yet for almost 900$. It is interesting to note that one of the only 5 star reviews is clearly written by her, and uses a lot of the communication style that was so concerning and unprofessional in person ("get over it, guests" targeted at people struggling with the lack of customer service, also said it's a place worth $60-90/night, I paid over $110/night). I'm really bummed by this encounter, as I had been excited to stay at this location given everything in walking distance. The bad clearly outweighs the good here and I highly recommend steering far away from such a discriminatory, retaliative, and harassing environment. I was traveling from out of state and have never had this kind of experience anywhere else, but it was so off putting I had trouble getting to sleep that night knowing how I had been treated. If youre a solo traveler relying on these accommodations for safety and security in a state where you don't know anyone yet, DO NOT STAY HERE. Take heed of the many 1 star reviews (I can bet anything the other 5 star reviewers are also affiliated with the hotel in some way) and just, find someplace else. read more

I booked online, through Expedia. Upon arrival the front desk was closed. I tried to use the lobby phone for several minutes but it was disconnected. I finally was able to get ahold of someone using my cell phone, and the person told me there were no reservations. After informing him that I did have a reservation with a reservation number he told me the front desk was closed and I'd need to wait 20 minutes to check in. The website says there's someone on site 24/7 for support and check-in. The fact I needed to wait 20 minutes for an offsite individual to check me in is an extremely unprofessional and a terrible experience. The fact I have to tell them that I have a reservation also isn't appropriate. If I had a chance to cancel my reservation to book elsewhere, I would have. While I was waiting to check in, another gentlemen also arrived with a reservation to check in, so there were actually two of us with reservations. Terrible, terrible experience. read more

Oh boy, so many things... Not surprising this place is unclaimed on Yelp. I'll start with the minimal good: relatively cheap for Redmond standards, fairly clean and secure, elevators, large laundry room and the machines worked, AC/heater in room, a kitchen in rooms for cooking. Now the not good: super thin walls (could hear neighbor's phone calls 100% clearly), floors vibrated when someone walked next door, high pet fees, extra charge if you want a top floor room, no pets allowed on the elevator even if the pet can't walk on stairs, extra charge for kitchenware, extra charge for linen service, 2 week complimentary linen service didn't happen when scheduled (5 days late after asking several times), grumpy front desk staff, took an hour to check in because room wasn't ready and front desk staff was clueless how to check someone in, broken bench in gym with no warning sign, fridge door assembled incorrectly (asked to have someone come fix but no one ever came), Pelotons in the gym but no one knew how to get them to come on or operate them, super hot in the gym, the staff randomly comes to make sure you don't have your window open, side entry door constantly stopped reading the key cards, on a fairly noisy street, super creaky bathtub, tiny cot beds that are super light and move whenever you adjust your position on the bed, sandpaper sheets, it's right next to a cemetery so who know it's probably haunted too. Possibly more I forgot but that's enough for you to make up your mind. Wish I didn't prepay for a month or would have left after a couple nights. read more

Many of the reviews I see for this hotel are not valid. * It is economy. Perfect for someone who does not NEED the frills. A good price and clean and safe. * Yes, they have "upgrade" options but provide the basics. It always works perfect for us. * Full kitchen and rooms are always clean. I saw all the STAFF CLEANING ALL DAY * They have a different operation than a regular hotel. Staff is away from the desk at times, that's why you can pay $60 bucks a night. They don't pay an all around the clock desk person so the guests can save MONEY. * I think people want $400 hotel service from a place that it is not set up that way. This is not that place. Simple done better is the motto there. *We got stellar staff service from everyone during our stay in Redmond. Tukwila too. * If the average person READ about where they book a room, a lot of guest frustration can be avoided. They want a copy of your license , and won't give the copy to you when you check out. WTF? They also wanted the names of our children. We said no. OK let's get down to it. Stayed at this location on/off 2021/2022 and 2 weeks ago 2023 Stayed here for a little bit. The staff PRIOR to those who have taken over were terrific. The staff now (Katrina and the rest who came from the Tri-Cities) are fucking idiots. Lie, cheat and yes steal. Don't fall for the Facebook promotional - it's a LIE. You can book and call and get everything taken care of but when you go check in the front desk has zero clue of what's going on thus you end up with rude employees/manager. Oh I'm sorry "General Manager" whatever the hell she goes by. The regional manager (who runs a few of the locations) is a prick. Bonafide prick to be exact. He is a rude and disgusting human being. Woodspring Suites (Redmond, Tukwila, Lakewood & Vancouver) was purchased almost 2 years ago I believe from a company in Texas and therefore the place has gone downhill. You will only be provided with what's in your room when you walk in. ALSO room service if I can remember is once a week or right when you're about to check out. You're lucky if you get pots/pans and utensils. We got lucky and had everything a hotel room with kitchenette comes with MINUS the coffee pot. Coffee is provided in the lobby only. Laundry room is gross and disgusting but the cleaners manage. We never checked out the gym. Let's see what-else... the front staff fully closes by 10p which means if you need to check in after 10p you are 100% shit out of luck! You'll have to call someone on the phone at the entryway and wait for them to wake up and come down from their room (because they live there) and open up and check you in. Pretty cool huh? If you're going to be staying at the Redmond location Fred Meyer, Target & Costco are very close. We definitely stocked up when we were there. Nice cemetery across the way and Mercury Coffee at the corner. Whole Foods and Peet's coffee across the street. It's a very nice busy area... the staff at this location absolutely fucking sucks. It's the attitudes they have. Like c'mon dude you're job IS replaceable stop acting like you're made out of diamonds and will last there forever. Last but not least if you're there for awhile do not for one second think or believe that you won't secretly be charged on wear and tear. Thankfully we were only there for 5 weeks but I know two individuals who stayed there longer and were charged for "general" wear and tear and when they went to stay at the WoodSprings else where they were turned away due to a balance that this location charged without telling them. So they couldn't stay at the WoodSprings in Vancouver, WA because of a balance they were told they owed during a previous stay at another location (Redmond location). You're placed on a "Do Not Rent" list within the WoodSprings system if you owe a balance that the hotel has placed on your account AFTER (read that again) AAAAFFFTTEERRRRRR you've checked out! Crazy huh? They don't even call or email you re: this they just place it under your name and if you try to book/check in you can't until you clear your balance. I assume they may try to charge the card on file but if they can't/unable to then you would never know. My husband and I booked after our friends told us about their issue and we figured we would try again during our home's small remodel and thankfully we booked and stayed with no issues. I hope this will help some rethink about booking here. Also if you do book here there shouldn't be any complaints of no towels, no coffee pot etc.. it is what it is and that's just the way this hotel works. This place is a joke. They copy your drivers license and state on their sign in sheet that they can enter your room at any time for any reason, whether you're in it or not. Then you cannot get someone to answer the front desk phone. When I checked out, front desk roller shade rolled down.... I've never seen that before in a hotel.... VERY UNRELIABLE and UNETHICAL hotel -- allegedly sold my room to another guest. Wish I had checked Yelp's reviews here prior to booking... I had a FULLY CONFIRMED reservation for one night, but when I arrived at 9pm to check in, I was told by the front desk person (Monica) that she could NOT find my reservation. I ended up asking a local colleague to let me sleep on his couch for this business trip as there was no other hotel rooms available nearby (I traveled on Uber and did not have a car to drive around everywhere). Fast forward two days -- my CONCUR travel agent escalated this issue to Woodspring's regional management who CONFIRMED that I indeed had a fully confirmed credit card-guaranteed reservation BUT it was cancelled by the hotel staff. It remains a mystery but I guess the hotel must have oversold and decided to cancel my reservation in favor of another guest. Monica even said she saw an inquiry for me but blamed the CONCUR travel agency for not completing the reservation. (NOTE: my reservation was credit card-guaranteed via the industry's global hotel network that everyone uses. It's either "booked" or "not booked" and nothing in between. How could she B.S. me and said she saw an 'inquiry' but the travel agent did not complete my reservation?!?!) She then became defensive and not friendly. I traveled on business for decades and never experience such a hotel issue with even smaller hotels. I booked online, went in to pay early so we could have a smooth transition ... the guy at the counter stated the internet was down, takes a copy of my license AND debit card. I never see the charge or get confirmation we are all set. Then saw an ad posted by the manager about a "special". I call the hotel number and am routed to a call center. The call center insists there is no Craigslist "deal" and they are often inaccurate. So I call back and get the actual hotel. I spoke to some "manager", Katherine, Katrina.. whoever. I ask about my card number the boy at the desk took, and she explicitly states, "we shouldn't be taking copies... I will check if it's in the safe".... NO FOLLOW UP. I obviously call the bank and cancel that card immediately. WELL ....The "$700 special" somehow turned into $900. Never disclosing any of these extra charges on the phone. Unfortunately, as I go to check in, the manager creating all these misleading ads was gone. The guy at the desk seemed unsure. So I left! We were still in the condo. No issue. I book a 3rd time (foolish af... I KNOW). I booked 40-something days while construction is underway. The website says "Payment for the first 7 nights is due at check-in, then pay in weekly increments....." etc. (Go do a mock reservation to see for yourself) They refuse to honor that very statement! Then attempted to raise the "nightly rate". NOT DONE: The boy at the desk is leaving to make calls the the manager, asking about these fake charges they tried to impose. After questioning why the balance continues to change, and demanding to see the charges BEFORE PAYING (BECAUSE they make you sign a document stating the charges are non-refundable, JUST before you pay). The boy tells me, it is on the itemized receipt. I declined to pay until he broke down the charges. THEN the price drops . He then calls the manager AGAIN steps away to have this shady convo, and tells me, they now have to put a deposit of $100. ON TOP of the $50 pet deposit and daily pet fee. When I confront him on that, he states, "that's how hotels work".... WHICH IS WHY HE HAD TO GO HAVE 3 PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS with the manager regarding charges. ‍ But wait, there is more. Calling Choice Hotels is a JOKE! Each property is individually owned and arbitrarily run, EVEN IF you book on THEIR direct site! Just choose a better hotel. You can do much better than this hotel. Everything you need you have to pay for. Towels, blankets, pillows. You have to pay extra for service dogs a deposit and a daily rate. Even when notified in advance. There is no ice even on location. The people surrounding you are noisy. Even when at 1:30 in the morning, when you notify them, they still are noisy. They don't do anything. This is like a halfway house for the homeless. Stay away from this hotel. You only get a few TV stations. None of the local stations. The internet is losey. Let me start by saying I honestly had a fantastic experience staying here for 3 months during condo renovation November to February. Katrina (GM) and Enrique (Asst GM) and support staff were always professional and welcoming. The entire building is kept exceptionally clean. The walls are quite thin and the laminate flooring while easy to care for and maintain, also means you'll hear the footsteps from the unit above you if on floors 1 and 2. Having full sized fridge/freezer and dishwasher in each unit along with affordable 24x7 laundry facilities was an added bonus. This hotel is very fraudulent. They are currently attempting to charge me $280 for per hair left on a sheet. Not to mention I already paid a pet deposit ($50) and another ($120) in pet fees for a 7 day stay. On top of that a $96 charge the day before I arrive which they could not explain but told me I would get it back. I asked if it was a deposit they said it was not. They also do not disclose that it does not function as a traditional hotel and that you have to do everything yourself. I had no clue what I was walking into. I will be disputing charges with my bank (lengthy process). If I don't get all the fraudulent charges retracted in a timely manner I will be getting ahold of a lawyer ASAP. read more

Wow I could not have been more displeased from my short stay here! I am so glad I didn't book this room for my entire stay!!! I booked for 2 nights and regretted that decision upon check in. I wish I would have checked the yelp reviews before booking, however with this hotel being so new I figured it would be just fine for 2 days. Upon check in, I waited in the lobby for 15 min till the staff was done talking about the people staying at the hotel in their back room. ( I could hear all of their conversations clearly) Why they leave this front desk unoccupied is beyond me. It's their job, they should be there to check guests in, not in the back hiding to talk bad about their guests. Especially when they only have front desk open from 7-11pm. While checking in, they were lack luster at best. Then while I went up to my room I had smiled at a beautiful African American housekeeper that just gave me a horrible look as if I wasn't supposed to be at the hotel I just paid for. When I got into my room, I was happy to see the room looked new like the pictures. However I quickly noticed the downfalls. - No visitors are allowed in your room unless they are registered to the room. Which means you can bring your friends back. - Key card entry needed 24 hours a day. Super inconvenient. - No daily housekeeping! Extra charges for everything! - WiFi sucked. Unless you pay to upgrade. Also only one device is allowed to connect. - No fire extinguisher in rooms ( HUGE RISK) - Bed was hardly made. Looked terrible. - Bed was horrible! Pillows ruined my neck and back! For a new hotel I would expect more. - The bedding had what appeared to be a dried blood stain on it... - It was dirty with left over hairs everywhere! Very clean, comfortable and accommodating. We extended our stay, were able to do our laundry and make our own meals.

We loved it. Super friendly staff. Stayed 2 weeks. You have to ask for toilet paper and can exchange towels as you need them. Room was clean and modern. Gym equipment worked great. We were looking for economy, comfort and cleanliness while relocating. They even give you free laundry soap! If you are looking to be pampered you pay more and go elsewhere. If you are look for a nice place, conveniently located, with a friendly staff then stay here. We enjoyed it. read more

Check-in is supposed to be at 3 PM, right? I arrived at 2:55. I was told that maintenance was "checking on the room to make sure everything is okay." Then it was 3:20 and still not ready. The woman behind the counter didn't seem to know how to navigate their software as she took forever helping someone else checking in while I waited...and waited...and then was told by a maintenance guy it would be ANOTHER 10 minutes! Now, it was 3:35. I had to be over in Seattle for an appointment that I was already going to be late for because of Woodspring's incompetence and I was getting impatient. If check-in is at 3, THE ROOM SHOULD BE READY AT 3!!! Hearing that "housekeeping didn't show up today" isn't my problem and maybe Woodspring needs to hire more reliable people! I left around 3:55 with no end in sight to when the room would be ready. I finally asked if there was a bathroom I could use and said I'd be back between 8 and 9 and that that room had better be ready. It was. The room itself was okay BUT would it kill them to provide a box of tissues in the bathroom instead of having to tear off toilet tissue every time I wanted to blow my nose? Room had a full sized fridge and a dishwasher but no paper towels. And why make the bright blue digital clock on the microwave unable to be turned off so that it wasn't in my face all night? One small measly bar of soap in bathroom. No box of tissues. Room right off a main street. Noisy traffic very early in the morning. Noisy children stomping around in the room above me. And all of this cost me, with tax, nearly $200 for one lousy night. Never again. read more

I spent two nights in this hotel for a business trip. It is far from any minimum standards I had in mind for a hotel. Building is actually pretty new and looks clean but 1. Bed are super uncomfortable. 2. I could hear people walking around and cars passing all night. Insulation is terrible here. 3. On the second night, there was a heavy smell of burned oil in my room. Possibly from cooking in the room next door. 4. There is no tissue in room. Only one roll of toilet paper. 5. There is only one small shampoo and one small soap in the bathroom. read more

I only stayed one night and for that length of stay, it was okay. Would not want to stay any longer than a couple nights. The good: * close to my training class and other places like Target, Whole Foods, etc * newer building * plenty of parking * front desk person was nice The meh: * little to no paper products. No paper towels, no kleenex and I was left about a quarter of a roll of toilet paper with no additional roll in the bathroom * you have to put your key card in a slot to activate the light * Free wifi is on the slow side and you can only have one device connected to it. To have more devices or faster service, you will be paying. * while waiting for the elevator, a different staff member was giving us the stink eye the whole time. Not sure what she appeared to be so pissed about. The ugly: * bed is weird, kind of dips down in the middle like it's old, but it's a newer bed * if you are a light sleeper, I would not choose this hotel unless you have a strong sleeping pill prescription. I could hear the people walking around upstairs and the people next door's screaming kid * my room was above a smoking area - there was a frequent visitor out there who was very loud whenever he was out there and I made the mistake of having my window open for a bit so my room smelled a smidge like smoke * bathroom floor had random hairs all over it - don't go barefoot * common areas (hallways, elevator) smell like curry read more

This place is just terrible. Wifi is horrible and I can't upgrade. Seems like their system to take payment for faster wifi is broken. There isn't any coffee or tea in the room and they provide very little soap or shampoo. The covers are very thin and will not keep you warm. The glasses were clean, probably the only good thing here. It's been 3 days.... lots of pictures no reviews yet. We have 3 days to go. I have been asked my opinion by guest checking in. So I'll write it here for everyone to see. We are waiting for our house to be ready & in the transition period we found ourselves here. Reasons: we can prepare food and keep our German Shepard with us. Faux wood floors. And we can stay in our neighborhood. 10days =1,400 * Don't drink the coffee go to Mercury around the corner! Nice gesture, but ... -The hotel is located in a convenient area, with major stores surrounding; target, Whole Foods, Mercury & pomegranate bistro just to name a few. Close to the 520 -the area is policed at night with a quick drive through. As well as security that patrols. They use key fobs which are great. Anyone who is not supposed to be inside won't be. -The hotel is new, and you can tell. It smells new with the help of misting mechanisms you will find just about everywhere in the hall & in the gym where there is NO AIR CONDITIONING. I don't love breathing in generic synthetic spray while pushing through an hour workout, but I don't think there is an off button. The hotel exterior & interior is kept clean. * rooms are serviced ONCE A WEEK, with a day assigned to each floor, Ours was Monday - with the way cleaning was done or lack there of I don't foresee the hotel having an easy go of maintaining the cleanliness over time. ESP. With animals being allowed. The trash was taken out, beds made, towels exchanged & it ends there. No sweeping of floors, cleaning of tubs, toilets or anything else. That being said I'm glad I didn't pay 25 for a cleaning off schedule. * be sure to check that the same amount of towels taken are replaced. Or be charged 10 per towel after two you originally receive. Best bet is to pay 4.50 and wash them yourself, if needed prior to your cleaning day. We didn't need towels changed because we checked in Saturday evening. They were hanging & I have always been taught towels on the floor mean you need towels to be replaced. * you can ask for a broom so that's cool! did that about twice already. * the internet package is fair and works well, without interruption. We opted for the highest option. - it can be confusing with the unlimited device package, having to reselect options & click "purchase" although you are not purchasing again. * I would attempt to get a inside room rather than the rooms parallel to the street if you are a light sleeper *The air conditioning system in the rooms work great!! * I appreciate the wardrobe set-up. Helps to organize & maximize the space available. *THE WALLS ARE THIN. We learned the hard way so keeping your voice down 24/7 is a good idea. *I really appreciate the refrigerator & cooking appliances & cookware ( REMEMBER TO WASH THEM) ** you will need to bring knives for cutting. Soap & sponge for washing dishes. Paper towel and utensils/ware past two guest. They offer washer & dryer. Which are housed in a clean space & the machines in my experience are clean. ( yay!!) The pricing on the pamphlets in the room do not reflect the actual prices at all for services such as Wi-Fi , or laundry. GYM: Synthetic spray that can not be regulated goes off every 20 minutes or so. *Note: You can hear ALL the conversations I'm guessing coming from the employee area. ( if you want to hear shit talking hang out in the gym ) There is quality equipment that can stand a bit of maintenance. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Hit or miss, staff is neutral. The desk is unattended a bit too often in the evenings, & one time in particular with personal information left on the lobby desk (the only area the key fob is not required; free for all.) Meanwhile, while you just stand & wait (there is no bell) you can become disappointed that it's not a bathroom break or an urgent matter. Rather a kickback happening on the other side of the door where you option for assistance is. *LASTLY FOR THE EMPLOYEE TO TOOK ISSUE WITH MY REVIEW ABOUT THE DESK BEING UNATTENDED ( the gym vents, remember? Lmao if walls can talk. well, the do here) REASONS WHY IS IT IMPORTANT NOT TO LEAVE THE DESK UNATTENDED 1 Only unsecured area of the hotel. 2 That is where the camera footage is just above the desk ( guest shouldn't know what angles are being recorded btw ) without you there, you have no knowledge of what happening in the hotel. 3 There is no door sensor to notify you a guest has come in from outside OR inside the hotel. 4 Once a guest has come from either entry point, they have no way of notifying you they are there other than to yell & hope you end your weekend recap and come out to the front desk. 5 Leaving the front desk unattended with guest information in plain sight is not proper handling of confidential information. 6 TIP: If you need to vent do it over text because the walls here can talk, & most guest do not like being called the B word read more

I would give it ZERO stars if I could. My husband got his belongings stolen out of his room while he was at work. When he tried to go back to his room after work, his key wouldn't work and he heard someone in his room. He went to the front desk and the lady said the room was under maintenance? And she was stalling calling her manager and assured him no one was in his room. Long story short the Police had to be called to press charges. DO NOT STAY HERE! Staff and hotel are super shady. This place is horrible... my company will be notified not to utilize this establishment for any business stay. Would not recommend to anyone. Over charged on our stay... fee charge for no show when clearly we were there on time if anything early and been staying at the hotel 2days prior to the charge being made. Went to the front desk said a refund was issued but 20 days later refund has yet to be issued still state on CC. A lot of the review left on here are true from the smell to people being in the room.
