Came over from Woody's laundromat to get a breakfast sandwich. Chose the croissant egg & cheese (no meat, please...but there were meat options). The people who work here are super friendly and it's a cozy little shop. I ate my sandwich there and it was yummy and they have a few nice seating options so you can choose where you'll be most comfy. If I come back and try the coffee and/or more food options I could see increasing to 5 stars. Just remember your washer probably doesn't take more than 23 minutes so time it out just right. read more

I've just discovered this place this week, my only regret is that I hadn't come across it sooner. I'm in LOVE with the tuna melt lol. They cook it panini style, so freaking good. The latte's are also very good. The first time it was a Hispanic woman working at the counter and today a younger Asian man. The customer service was top tier, both of them were so kind, upbeat, professional and happy. I've had 10/10 experience both times. I work super close, so I very much see myself become a regular there. My coffee and sandwich were only $18 with this economy lol, you can't beat it. read more

I really like Woody's Cafe. They've always had great service, and I enjoy their drinks. Today I'm trying the 8 Treasure Tea and it's fantastic! I'm a loose leaf tea person and this is absolutely delightful, very flavorful. I always appreciate reading the chalkboard wisdom Robert Ma offers. Their mochalatta and their spicy cuban sandwich is fire! Right next door to woody's laundromat, across a dispensary, lots of eye catching things inside of their cafe. Dog friendly apparently, as some other patron brought their dog inside to do homework. Great food and didn't break my pockets. Such a pleasant space to get coffee and a sandwich! Interior decor is intricate and homely. I liked waiting here while I sipped my coffee. The cashier was so nice!! She asked if my friend's dog wanted a treat. Bagel and coffee ready in a timely manner. Despite two other customers ahead of me, I had my bagel in less than 10 minutes! Thanks Woody's! This was so convenient along my walk. Excellent spot, coffee light roast with sugar and medium half&half cream. My coffee was thoroughly stirred with a spoon by the cashier. Well, I stopped by to pick up some coffee and food and I was not disappointed. I got the spicy torta cubana... omg it was delicious and exceeded my expectations. I also got an iced latte with an extra shot. The space was clean and the customer service was great, very welcoming and friendly. If your in the area stop by, its worth it! read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. The service was terrible, and both staff members had a bad attitude. I left completely unhappy and disappointed.And plus there coffe is not hot enough terrible! And when I asked for hot chocolate for my son he gave me this attitude as well I felt completely shocked how he respond and reacted and didn't end up ordering it! read more

Someone posted that the coffee here was no frills. I'm not sure what they meant by that but when i took my first sip I was ready to start my day. They have the basics which is all you need because their coffee is excellent. They have bomb smoothies too!! read more

I have been going to Woody's Cafe, off and on, in the last three years. My hair stylist works on Park Avenue and sometimes I will go to Woody's to get a coffee after my appointments. Yesterday I went to Woody's and I was bit disappointed with my visit. There were two employees (from what I could see), working - a cashier who also made the coffee drinks and the food preparer. It was obvious the cashier was getting stressed with the amount of orders they were getting. At one point, I overheard the cashier speaking to the food preparer in a way that I thought was very inappropriate for their customer's to see. It sounded like the food preparer was asking the cashier questions on how to make something. Right away, the cashier snapped at her and said that it wasn't a good time to be asking because there was a line, and they could go over it later. His tone was very inappropriate too. I think the cashier could have replied saying something like let's talk about this later since we're a bit busy. I wanted to mention this because it's possible other customers heard this conversation as well - it was definitely an "eye-raising" moment. I hope you can use this as a training opportunity. read more

This seems like a community spot so I'm baffled by why they are lying about the bathrooms being out of service. The sign is definitely over 6 months old and both bathrooms in the cafe and laundromat are 'out of service'. This is dodgy at best given that they have seating areas in the restaurant and they don't advertise takeout only. We got breakfast sandwiches, not great. One had no sauce and the other had an overpowering garlic sauce. Might have been better fresh but we had to dash out to find a public restroom so hard to say. read more

I love Woody's! The staff is always so friendly! Every time I go in for coffee or food, they'll ask me how the kids are doing! And they really do want to hear how things are in your life. I guess that's why they have so many regulars! And the owner is always around and having random conversation with folks. If it gets busy though, you'll definitely see him get behind the counter. My favorite items are: the grilled cheese sandwich and the tuna panini. The grilled cheese is usually on like a ciabatta or sourdough. And it's a little fancy with slices of tomato. But, they usually will ask if you want tomato or not. The tuna panini is the BEST I've ever had! This is the only place my daughters and I will eat it from! We usually get it with the salad. Basic, but the balsamic vinaigrette is yummy! We could be across town craving a tuna panini. So, we'll call in our order. Sometimes, they are out of tuna, and that'll kill our craving. But, when they have it, I'm there! read more

The staff are extremely friendly and their coffee is delicious. Beware that the espresso is stronger than your chain coffee shop so tread carefully. I tried the bacon, egg and cheese croissant as well as the bacon, egg and cheese bagel and I have to say, while they are both delicious, the croissant won me over and will be seeing me again. The place has cute decor and is located on a fairly busy street. Parking isn't usually too bad but is limited. read more

Woody's is a rock solid cafe. Upon walking in the Turk (I know this because I asked where he is from and he said Turkey) behind the counter met us with a huge smile and jovial greeting. In fact, he was so nice I had to wonder for a second where he gets his prozac and how do I get some. My boyfriend and I had our laundry going next door and decided to take advantage of the cafe while waiting. We both ordered sandwiches and drinks which came to about $21. The sandwiches were really good. Perfectly toasted and they come with a small portions of greens on the side. The only complaint I have is about the ciabatta. It was delicious and all, but I hate how it cuts up the roof of my mouth. The free wifi is always a draw and overall I must say that this place is pretty great. 3.5 for friendly service. The coffee is strong and the food is good, but man, this place is shockingly expensive. A large iced vanilla latte with oat milk ran me $7.50 and their breakfast sandwich is nearly $10. Add a tip in there and you're paying $20 to start your morning. Inflation is the worst! read more

Awesome neighborhood cafe that delivers you to another world as soon as you walk in. The outside traffic and people are totally gone. I'm sipping in my chai tea latte in bliss, as much bliss a person studying could be in. The prices are okay...reasonable. There are plenty of outlets and free wi-fi. I'll be back again, so satisfied! This was one of the only cafes that was open before 8am on a Sunday, so we came here for breakfast. The atmosphere is relaxed and the barista behind the counter was very nice. There is a decent amount of seating indoors. Our coffee came quickly but our breakfast sandwiches took 10 minutes or so even though we were pretty much the only customers. It didn't bother us, but I imagine it might take a while to get food during busy times. The prices are okay, pretty average for the area. We spent about $20 for breakfast and coffee for two people. read more

This cafe pretty much meets all my requirements for a great place to work. It's clean, bright, and pretty roomy. There are lots of different seating options, including small tables, large tables, high counter tables, and sofas. The wifi is free and fast. They have food which I thought was a little bit pricey, but portions are large, so it's worth it. The Cuban sandwich and iced latte I ordered were delicious. Classic rock music was playing in the background, loud enough to hear but not to distract. The owners are super friendly and it was clear that they know their regulars. Although I like to check out new shops as much as possible, I do plan to become one of their regulars here! read more

This place got to go their coffee is getting worse looks like not genuine! The beans taste different the last time I was there! Their sandwiches and pastries are in lower grade too ! Perhaps they didn't uses the highest quality ingredients to make the food. It is important to maintain freshness and high quality in order to be edible. I am kind of disappointed more on the coffee and hope they would fix that! read more

I happen across Woodys Cafe after seeing a review on Nextdoor during the "lockdown". I live 1/2 a block from a Starbucks, but it was closed...so I ventured out to Woody's and am so glad that I did! Their lattes are fantastic! I LOVE the staff...I almost can't wait til I need to do a whole bunch of laundry bc their place next door looks so sparkling clean... What a great place! read more

Matcha flavor was really light and so was the banana flavor. It was more of a light matcha milk, if you will. I will come back to try what I originally wanted to drink (horchata matcha latte, I believe it was) cause I really think they have good drinks. I've heard great things from friends so maybe I just got a bad drink, off day, or because it was a new drink on the menu, it just hasn't been perfected yet? Not sure but just wasn't what I usually expect from a matcha drink. Other than that, service was great. The cashier was really nice. I was able to find street parking really easily as well. (If you do try the banana matcha, maybe ask for less milk!)

The Honeycomb had pockets of cream cheese and was drizzles with honey. The Meat Fatayer is like an empanada. The food and drink were very tasty. Since my review of this place I've gotten a few nasty emails calling me names and accusing me of being tied to another coffee shop in the neighborhood. I thought you can express your opinion about businesses on yelp, and that is what I did. No need to get dirty and nasty, people. You put your opinion and so did I. It seems odd to me that most of these "woody" heads have only reviewed this cafe and their Laundromat. Speaking of smelling a rat??? I have been in this neighborhood for 5 years and I do support lots of the small businesses here, including doing my laundry at woody's. So, stop these games people, my review stands as is. read more

Oh, Woody's. Your coffee is a brackish swill on par with Folger's, you managed to burn my croissant without even melting the cheese and apparently now your customers are being singled out as targets for robbery because they carry laptops. Thanks but no thanks. I used to think this place was "meh" but ever since a couple of guys held the place up at gunpoint last week it just emanates SKETCH. I know it's not the owner's fault, but still. As if the pseudo-outdoor atmosphere weren't awkward enough to start with...the least they could do would be to install a camera or something. read more

You can do your laundry next door AND come next door to grab a bite to eat, go online, hang out with friends at the same time! The cafe has a relaxed and quiet environment. The staff is nice. There is always a place to sit down. The food is fast, healthy, and delicious. I love coming here to cram for exams. read more

We tried to ask the cashier/barista but they were slammed with customers so we ccouldn't get their attention. IDK the place is just poorly organized and messy! The Park St. bridge is just a hop away, so we'll often grab a coffee here to fuel up on our way out of town. Street parking is very difficult here, but the grocery does have its own lot in the back, albeit a cramped one. Give yourself extra time to park.
