While looking for a place nearby for coffee, Yelp led us here and we were so happy we found it! The baristas were so helpful, friendly and kind and the atmosphere and decor were on point. This place has Paris vibes and made me fondly remember being in Paris a few years ago. My husband enjoyed the best caramel chai latté of his life, and he loved the chocolate croissant. My peppermint and caramel macarons were delicious and I really enjoyed the large toffee nut cappuccino. I highly recommend this place and I think you'll enjoy it, too! read more

I absolutely loved this bakery! Everything looked amazing but so far I've only tried their macarons, we tried three different flavors, blueberry cheesecake, red velvet, and birthday cake. Each one was more delicious then the last, they all had a crunchy exterior and were chewy on the insides. The fillings on all of them were all also delicious (and we were surprised when the blueberry cheesecake one had blueberry jam on the inside)! The interior was also very cute and open. My review is simply the best way to highlight the phenomenal first impression made by a young employee named 'Mackenzie'. We were greeted with such enthusiasm as we entered that I assumed she owned the place - which would, admittedly, be very impressive since she was about 16 years old. Her recommendations were informed and thoughtful. She was approachable while remaining respectful and joyful while remaining professional. Looking for a bakery? Just come here you won't be disappointed!! We only had time for one stop in Coeur D'Alene and Yelp led me to this bakery! I'm so glad we stopped in. The shop is extremely cute, clean and it just looks sweet! It was 8am on a Sat and there were just two other parties. Lily and Kinsley were very sweet and helpful with spot-on recommendations. We got three hazelnut beignets, pistachio and honey lavender macarons, an almond croissant and a spinach and ricotta pastry. I love baking and eating pastries and I can say that nothing we had was anything other than enjoyable. (And I don't like to admit this but I can be a pastry snob sometimes) The honey lavender macaron was so, so good- great lavender taste without any soapiness. Everything was baked perfectly, beautiful textures and even more amazing flavor. The pistachio had my husband almost speechless, and I don't think I've really seen him react like this to sweets before. "It's like I'm eating actual pistachios" I 100% agree! The pastries are really yummy, I tried an almond croissant and some sort of pumpkin cream cheese cake. I like how they weren't overly sweet. This place is beyond amazing and lovely. Whoops was on my list for years to visit and finally we made our way to CDA and stopped by to have brunch at Woops. The modern ambiance is wonderful and welcoming. We were greeted with smiles by friendly staff. They were absolutely kind and helpful. Woops has variety of delicious and yummy pastries on a neat and organized display to choose from, the pastries and sandwich was delicious and fresh. Every cup of coffee is made with love and care. On our way out of this beautiful shop we came across meeting Shelly the owner of this unique and beautiful place and her friend. They are absolute gems. Sweet, kind and beautiful ladies.They are amazing and filled with life. It was such a pleasure coming here. Whoops! is a fantastic, contemporary, bakery located in downtown Coeur d'Alene. I make sure to stop by everytime I'm in the area. The owner, Shelly, and her staff are extremely friendly and personable and make you feel welcome. The interior decor is always shnazzy and seasonal and the stores interior is always clean. The best part, though, are the food, drinks and desserts, namely, the macrons. I've become a bit of a macron aficionado lately and it is hard, at times, to find high quality, non-hard/crumbly, macrons. Unfortunately, Shelly really knows what she's doing when it comes to macrons. I say unfortunately because I tried to just eat 2 macrons with my (delicious) apple and brie croissant sandwich, but the macrons defeated my willpower and I had to order more macrons to-go. I was going to save them for an after dinner snack that evening, but I was already eating them on the drive home. They are THAT good. In all of my many visits to Whoops! Bakery, I've never had anything remotely mediocre. From the food, the company, the environment, I've always had a fantastic experience. It's no wonder they won a best bakery in Idaho award for 2020. What a cute little shop! great friendly service and cute location and decor. Came here for the holidays and stuck around for some macarons and coffee and hot chocolate. I will say, I am no macaron lover. I eat them every time I see them with the hopes that I will fall in love with them some day. As it's such a nice thing to eat whilst drinking tea or coffee. There is one place that I adore in seattle that does make the only one I prefer to eat - so needless to say my hesitation was high and my expectations were low for Woops! However, upon sitting down and taking a bite of their macaron... it was an instant love affair. That perfect airy crunch on the outer layer, combined with a sweet (nontraditional) gooey center filling... it almost had the texture of raw, unfiltered honey but without the mess and stickiness mixed with a bit of cream. I've never had a macaron like it and I regretfully didn't eat a dozen more but it was extremely delicious! My real review would be 4.5 stars... is just sheer bias on my part as I'm from Seattle... notably a coffee capital when it comes to bean roasting and Woops coffee was nothing notable... and the hot chocolate was a bit sub par, a little watery and bland for my liking. But overall - cute shop, great snack options and the perfect place to take a break from walking all around town. read more
