Officially became a member of Work Studio. It can be very intimidating trying a new gym and learning the routine and meeting new people. However, on my first visit, I was warmly greeted by all of the staff and trainers. When the workout started, the instructions very clearly demonstrated and easy to follow. The workout, while challenging, allowed you to go at your pace with a lot of options based on your own personal abilities. The staff were very open to any questions throughout and after the class. When I went home after the first day, I had an email sent from the instructor that was personalized per our discussions in class. It was very nice and thoughtful. I have been to several classes since and each one has been challenging and fun! Everyone is encouraged to give each other high 5's because at the end of the day...everyone showed up to work. Just started working out at work for about a month now! My first class was I admit pretty brutal but the instructors were really encouraging and really emphasized working at your own place. I came in without the expectation of returning but now it's my go to training studio and I enjoy coming with friends and family. The workout sessions are short but very effective. It's a great way to start or end your week. Friday's are my favorite! But looking to branch out to other workout days. read more

After trying nearly all the group fitness classes in the Irvine/costa Mesa/newport area AND testing out a couple gyms... I finally found the best place in OC! Work training studio had been on my radar due to some friends recommending it but I was hesitant because so far my group class experiences hadn't been great (trust me I really did the leg work with other local studios.) I was constantly met with extremely overcrowded classes, trainers unable to help modify some exercises, intimidating environments, unorganized studios, injury due to trainers unable to help in the over crowded environment OR simply programs that were over complicated & not well planned. With all this being said, WORK is none of these things!!! It's such a welcoming environment with trainers who pay attention and genuinely care about injury prevention & progress. The whole staff makes it a point to get to know you, welcome you and provide amazing workouts. The vibe of every workout is fun, positive, motivating and you get your butt kicked in the best of ways. It doesn't matter if your on day one of a fitness journey, coming back from injury or pretty advanced. The workouts and trainers can cater to all levels & bodies. They're always mixing up the programming and adding in new opportunities to grow (it's never the same old movements or basic HIIT a lot of other studios do.) I also love how flexible their class opportunities are and how accommodating the staff is if you need to make changes. As a mom coming back from multiple surgeries and feeling lost trying to get my health back, WORK has provided such a safe space for me to feel strong and confident again. And it's a huge plus that my husband who is much further along in his fitness journey than myself, can go to class with me and we both are met at our levels with phenomenal workouts. I very much appreciate Anthony Hayes for giving me the extra push to try a class and trainers Olivia and Anthony F for motivating me and taking care of me. Wow. What a great class! Not just a great class, but the nicest staff I've encountered at any class or gym. I was so lost on my maps on my way here and the woman at the front helped me on the phone. I was also late because of this but I was given a quick tour of the facilities (nice and clean!) and introduced to the instructor. I took Anthony's lift class and it was perfect! I signed up for this class because I wanted to try it out! What's great about it is they give you 3 free classes and you have to use it up in two weeks! Great way to figure out if you want to commit or not! I totally loved coming here! I signed up for a Saturday 8am class with Scott, who is beyond amazing!! I was a little nervous at first but you can really go at your own pace, but of course, I pushed myself to do as much as I could, but not to the point of passing out. He gave us modifications if we needed it as well! There are about 40 people in the class and you are split into different sections and do 3 different types of workouts within that section for a minute each. Sometimes, a minute feels really fast and other times, it feels like an eternity! I wish it was a little cheaper but as of right now, it is not in my budget to commit but I learned a lot of useful moves to do on my own at the gym. Maybe in the future, I will consider to buy a package but as of now, I can only motivate myself! Over the last few years of being a member at WORK, I have become stronger and faster than I thought I could ever be. None of that would have been possible without the encouragement, motivation and commitment from each trainer every single day. In addition to all of that, I have met some amazing people who, without them, my life would be very different. We all push each other to lift heavier, run faster and work harder. I Love this Gym! I've always been the type to just follow along in a class or else I wouldn't work out so this program is for me. Everyone is doing the same exercises together and the energy is immaculate. The coaches are super encouraging and really work with you and your form (when they can) so that you don't hurt yourself. They have different exercises everyday so that you are able to workout leg day one day and then biceps/triceps another day, and back another, and then full body workouts on the weekend. They have all shapes and sizes working out together and I just can't help but come back. Great community read more

This gym is by far the funnest gym you'll ever go to. I came across it when I was planning to move to Irvine. I tried their buy 1 get 2 classes promotion and absolutely loved it. I soon after bought the unlimited package with my husband. They will cater to every type of fitness level! For those that are result driven, results will be obtained! If they know your form is off, they will help you adjust, if they know you can lift heavier, they will be that positive push you need. My husband and I compete who can go to more classes per week. They are so on top of it regarding sanitation especially during this global pandemic. I can't imagine getting my workout anywhere else. Love the instructors and the workouts but to not have the AC on during a heat wave is unsafe and unacceptable. Strenuous workouts like the ones at Work are taxing enough on the body in normal temperatures, let alone when it's close to 100° outside. Fans and water and opening the door just doesn't cut it. Haven't felt the air conditioning once since I started working out at this place. Kind of disappointing because I enjoy all the other aspects of coming here. read more

I've been taking classes here for three years (consistently for 2) and there is no other place I could see myself working out. I got hooked on Lift (their booty class, Thursday nights) because ya girl love the bubble. But then I realized that I needed upper body strength to hold heavier weights. So I worked in more classes. And now I'm there 6 days a week! Their weekly format is designed to target all body groups through the week to maximize results. But I got more than results. I found an uplifting community; a truly judgement free zone. They'll teach you about form, about confidence, and about support. I'm naturally a quiet introvert but there are people who pull you out of that shell. In a way, they make you comfortable with getting out of your comfort zone. They'll show you that you have the strength within you to push a little heavier and jump a little higher.
