They aren't there to make you happy and find you a suitable car, they are there to make money. They sell cars "as is" purposefully, for when the lemon car takes a s*it so you can't get your money back. Even if you return the car you will still be stuck with the remaining debt. And there is a way to clear all dashboard lights, even a check engine light. They clear all the data trouble codes with a scanner obtainable for anyone to buy. If I could not give any start I would do that. Said. Making payments on a car that barely runs. This place is shady, said they had to order part for it that had to do with the fuel system then take it to the shop to put it in. Delivered the car to me the old man couldn't get the car off the trailer busted all clips off front bumper getting it off the trailer. Start the car up sounds like it wants to die, engine light comes on two days later then after that another engine light comes on then says engine malfunction reduced power. Contact owner for a print out of what all got done to this car, he says all that info is gone due to them having to get rid of whomever or whatever holds all their sales info. He could give me a carfax print out. I said how about a print out from BMW the shop your dealership guys said they had to take it to when part came in. Owner of dealership will not respond back about getting me that print out. Oh yea then they wanna lie about the driver side mirror just the glass part got stolen off the car. I went to WFA with a simple goal: to get a good deal on a reliable car. I didn't care which one, apart from a 4-door from a reliable brand. They had 7 that would have fit the bill, so I asked for miles and asking-price on all 7... they didn't like my car buying approach much at all. They kept insisting that I take one for a test drive, and that they didn't have the info I asked for (literally just miles and asking price.) while we were there, their Repo guys showed up, which seemed like a bad sign. They kept pushing me to find out how much I was trying to spend. I wanted a car for between 9-12k, so I told them anywhere from 6-15k... wouldn't you know it, after I told them that, every 4-door sedan on the lot, even the ones with over 120,00 miles was suddenly worth between $15-20K... By then I had pretty much had enough. I took my list home and confirmed that most of then were marked up 40-60% what it was worth, then I read the horror stories from these other yelp reviews. Seems like this place makes their money on people with bad credit and worse money management skills. Buy a car from a place with a more ethical approach to doing business. First off... I LOVE MY HONDA that I got from world famous auto (that's why I'm giving the 1 star) also they will give anyone a damn car even with horrible credit (2nd star) however.. I felt very rushed while looking at cars and pressured to get something THAT DAY by the guys that work the floor. That's NOTHING compared to the customer service though. I have been making payments on my car for about a year now and I have only spoken to 2 different ladies on the phone to pay my car payment. One is very sweet and the other one has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. NONE. She is extremely rude. How could a business hire someone to speak to people over the phone that has no personality, and no customer service skills. This review is LONG overdue. I can't begin to fully explain how amazing this business has treated myself & my entire family. Let me start by saying, I have been a customer of WFA for around 22yrs now. I bought my first car & almost every car since through them. I've worked hard to maintain a great relationship with them as they've always treated me right. And I don't mean just getting me into a vehicle. I mean, their sales guys never acted like just because I was a woman I couldn't possibly know anything about cars or what I wanted in a car. This simple act of seeing me has kept me coming back. But there's always been numerous other reasons. Such as helping me replace a bad ignition in a vehicle I'd only bought a week prior from them, or making me special deals trading in my Mustang GT to get a more suitable family car with a better payment. I've literally had a great experience with every sale/trade in I've ever dealt with them on. Flash forward to Aug/Sept 2022.... My husband & our 2 kids have moved out of the southern Oregon area in 2021, and the entire 18 months since that move has been nothing but a constant struggle. Seemed like every time we started to get our heads above water, something else would knock us back under. My husband was injured while helping a friend clear their property of blackberry bushes, he stepped on a nail & within 3 days had an infection that resulted in a week long hospital stay & a toe amputation. The week he was released home, our Chevy Silverado was stolen from the parking lot of our apartment complex. Due to his injury & resulting hospital stay & a total of 10 weeks off work, we were struggling to keep up with any of our bills. He's the sole income for our family & unfortunately PTO/Vacation pay & short term disability pay does not worry about when your bills are due, they just pay when they get around to it. But the whole time we'd been trying to keep WFA updated as much as we could about the current situation & on going income struggles. They worked with us as we navigated this. Allowing us to make partial payments or push out our payment date. So come December 2022... our insurance has finally paid out on the stolen truck & WFA has asked that we come back to Medford (6hrs away from where we now live) to rewrite our loan because it was a joint loan with our other vehicle. We pulled some strings to get things figured out & organized a way to make the trip happen with our family still in Southern Oregon. Going in to the office we knew we'd probably be coming out with a new slightly lower payment... but we were also a little concerned because we were technically behind in the payments still. What transpired next truly blew our minds. It's been almost a month since this transaction & it still honestly brings tears to my eyes. We walked away with a new payment, over $250 LESS & a giant credit applied to our loan to help get the payoff amount closer to the value our remaining car was actually blue-booked at. AND, the amount we were technically behind for the past payments was applied as a down for the new loan & pushed out by over a month so we had plenty of time to come up with it & our new payment in the new year. To us, this car lot isn't just a place to buy cars. It's a place where I know I'll be treated like family & shown respect because I have the courtesy to value what they offer- an opportunity for people to get great vehicles that are affordable. Our sales guy, Ramiro, is always great. And this last visit was a joint effort, with him, Kevin, Allen & Dave, all making this experience phenomenal. Bought my first car from them in 2012 a Fiat pop sport. My credit was absolutely perfect and I didn't know that then and they tried to tell me I had bad credit so I had to put $3000 down plus another 500 two weeks later. So I paid them to 3K and the $500 plus my $300 payment on the same day of purchase! About a week went by I received letters in the mail showing me what my credit score was! At 19 my credit score was a 750!! And they told me my credit was bad and I couldn't actually buy the vehicle that I wanted at the time, so I ended up in a Fiat not a Subaru! Anyways long story short I had the car for over a year came into some money paid it off or so I thought and they repossessed my car while I was on vacation with my family saying I still owed them $91 dollars!! They repossessed my $15,000 vehicle for $91 that I had no idea I owed! Not only that but all of my personal items were in there and they had cleaned the car within 24 hours! I never saw any of my items that were in my car ever again. Thankfully I was able to sue them I have no idea how they're in business still! read more

I am leaving this review because I am thoroughly impressed with the service that my daughter received here. My daughter is 19 and decided to buy her very first car on her own. With no credit she knew she was going to have to go somewhere that did in-house financing. We decided on world-famous And she found a car that she loved. Unfortunately, after only two months, the engine blew in the car. You never know when these types of things will happen, especially when buying a used car. We went in to talk to the guys at World Famous. They all went above and beyond to remedy the situation to the best of their ability. We had to tow her car to the shop and the mechanics looked it over, and basically said that it was a total loss. This is where the amazing customer service comes in. They basically traded out her old loan for a new one on a different car. I know a lot of places would not do this, but we are super grateful and amazed! Every person we have encountered at world famous has been amazing and friendly and welcoming. My daughter got a different car and is extremely satisfied. They asked me the regular questions. When I walked in I know I wanted a upgrade from my 2002 Chevy Malibu but I didn't know what I wanted. I was in the proces of selling it so I knew I needed a new car. They asked what I was asking for my Malibu and they said they would give me what I wanted for it. I test drove a couple cars to kinda see exactly what I was looking for. I walked in wanting a sun roof, 4 doors, very roomy vehicle. In a short time I found my dream car. I knew exactly what I wanted my payment to be and they worked with me. I drove away in a 2012 Chevy Malibu. I love my car. They were all helpful and nice. Very respectful people. I couldn't be happier. To the other posters: Don't be mad at World Famous for your mistakes. Do your homework before buying a car from ANY dealership. My friend missed his May payment when he was laid-off during the pandemic. He had previously called requesting to move his payment due date to the first of the month, on his new employer's payday. He spoke with a woman who informed him the company policy didn't allow them to change his payment date until his account was brought up-to-date. He understood the policy, and was willing to make both payments on the new date he was requesting. The two were unable to resolve the issue on that call. He and I called back. This time I spoke in English, my native language, to the woman who answered the phone and made the same request. She again informed us of company policy, so we asked to speak with the owner. The owner said they were under no obligation to adjust the payment schedule since that is a service they offer to only some customers. After some discussion they agreed to our initial request. However, my friend did not need to be disrespected because he had an accent. Both the woman and the man were blatantly racist. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! read more

This place is a complete rip off. They are all about "who they can make the next dollar off of." They charge you $15 A DAY for late payments (even if you are one day late because they closed early.) Was told the windshield wasn't even attached to the car and I was lucky it didn't fly off while driving down the road. Paid off the vehicles and it was 3 weeks before we got the titles. We moved during the contract to Washington so titles should've been changed to WA. When we received in the mail we had one WA and one OR. Called them about it and they said not their problem! I bought my Subaru from them about 2 months ago. Unfortunately 30 days in my transmission blew up while coming off the freeway. I was seriously worried about how I was going to afford fixing a transmission as I am a single mom of 3 working multiple jobs to get by and the car down payment had just cost me all my taxes and the vehicle itself is a 16k vehicle. I got it towed in to them and they said it could be up to 2 months to have it fixed due to the shop having a wait for transmission work. I left and waited for a call and they called to let me know that they would be fixing it, 100% free of charge which was a shock seeing as how i'd bought as is. They finished with the car a month earlier than I had expected and I picked it up last night and she runs like a dream again. The people at here are crooked as hell!!! I tried to finance a car through them, and they gave me one that was not only in pieces (which they KNEW beforehand), but had a GPS tracking device as well! Now, the tracking device wouldn't have been a big deal, except that I had NO knowledge of it (and under Oregon state law, they are REQUIRED to notify the purchaser of such device). Not only that, but when my car was stolen (just weeks after I got it), the lady (that took my report) at the Josephine County Sheriff's Office had to call them (to confirm that the title was in my name) and they FAILED to tell her that the car had a that device. THAT IS OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE!!! I am currently in process of filing a lawsuit. read more
