The people at here are crooked as hell!!! I tried to finance a car through them, and they gave me one that was not only in pieces (which they KNEW beforehand), but had a GPS tracking device as well! Now, the tracking device wouldn't have been a big deal, except that I had NO knowledge of it (and under Oregon state law, they are REQUIRED to notify the purchaser of such device). Not only that, but when my car was stolen (just weeks after I got it), the lady (that took my report) at the Josephine County Sheriff's Office had to call them (to confirm that the title was in my name) and they FAILED to tell her that the car had a that device. Then we wanted to payoff the car and the guy Ken told my wife I'm not doing anything unless you drive up here which is 400 miles away and trade in your car. I then spoke with him and his tone changed. We ended up paying off the car thru a trade in. I would steer completely away from this place like the plague. Worst car dealership I have ever dealt with. They wouldnt do a thing about it except belittle us and try to intimidate us. They wouldnt even attempt to put us in a different car. my daughter bought a car at World Famous Auto in May she will be paying on it till 2018! She began having problems w it in june, she took it to them sat for 2 hrs just to hear what she already knew. they claimed to fix it but only made it worse! I was checking my credit report when i noticed i still owed them over 13 k (car was 17k) i gave a down payment of 3k. so basically in this year only 1k has been going towards my principal. They Repossessed my bfs car said it was past due and said he didn't have insurance. He has had insurance the entire time! He lost his job due to Coronavirus but had made arrangements with them, when he went to pay the one month he owed they had a sign saying they are not taking checks only cards via phone so he had to then deposit the money and wait for it to clear. In this time they came and got his car! Also saying he owed two months(not true) When he went down there the people were rude wouldn't even talk to him and said they won't take his money to pay anything because "he doesn't want to deal with him" anymore even thought he was willing to pay whatever incorrect amount they claimed. When someone is willing to pay whatever it takes to rectify a situation and they laugh at u and say ya sorry we wont take your money, pretty embarrassing customer service and empathy during this difficult time! He got a new job in the midst of this mess that he then had no way to get to Monday morning! What a joke! Not to mention when I called in hopes maybe they would be nicer to me the lady literally laughed and said I'd have to make an appointment to get my sons car seat next week and wasn't even sure when the manger would be in if at all next week! so no real useful information and she could careless. Had the worst experience ever at World Famous Auto! The guy that helped me had me test drving cars, random cars that he just thought I would like. And when I told him I really didnt like the vehicle he started getting so impatient with me,. He would NOT tell me the prices of any of them. He said " Oh dont worry about it, we'll get the payment where you need!" He put me in CLUNKERS! Im guessing that since I am a single mom he thought I would be naive enough to "settle" for any car! I did end up finding a car that I liked, and I called a friend that works in the car sales industry to come help me talk to the guys so that I didnt get screwed over. Well first of all once again, he would NOT tell us the price of the vehicle. Just kept insisting that all that mattered was the payment. We had asked to see the KBB on the car and they completely avoided giving it to us until we absolutely DEMANDED it! They were asking almost $4000 over KBB and would not budge whatsoever on the price. On top of that they wanted to charge me 29% interest on my loan! I felt very pressured and rushed the entire time I was there. He even had me on the phone with an insurance agent putting insurance on the car BEFORE I even agreed to buy it. And to top it off, while we were waiting for the guy to come back, the men in the office next to me (im assuming the owner his son and the salesman) started getting in a fight! They were screaming, and cussing and then it felt like an earthquake! They were hitting each other and it sounded like pushing each other around! It not only freaked me out, but my 8 year old daughter was almost in tears because it was so scary to listen to. I finally went over and knocked on the door and told them I wanted to leave.. What did the car salesman do? He walked me into his office and turned on a radio really loud and shut the door! When he FINALLY came back into the room, I told him I was not interested and we left!! I am not sure why I never thought to offer a review before. Over about 15 years, I have purchased several cars from World Famous. I have only wonderful things to say about my many dealings with them. I found them to be honest, respectful, easy going, and creative. There has been more than one occasion when I needed some extra time to make a monthly payment. We simply made payment arrangements and they were great about it. I am currently looking for a new Van, as soon as they get one in, I will be doing business with them again. Went to a lot of Car dealerships looking for a car for my daughter. My worse experience was at World Famous! They LIE almost about everything! Asked if I could bring a car to my Mechanic because i heard shady things about them, and they said no. I brought my Mechanic there lucky and found lots of things wrong with the vehicle that they lied about. He is holding my daughter's car hostage even though her payments are current and she is willing to pay for the repairs. When I called to inquire about the situation, he was rude and unwilling to work with any of us. There in the business to make money $$$ lots of it. They manipulate contracts to there advantage, not just a little, they will get you taken care of thats for sure. From my experience take it from me, they are douchebags, if you want to deal with less than honest people then deal with world famous auto. They told me it is perfectly legal to sell me a vehicle with dangerously bald tires, they had the tires rotated so that the metal was sticking out on the inside so that to the eye you couldnt tell and the tires looked good, afterall i bought it as is and they failed to even disclose this to me. Dont worry this is just the begining, the air suspension failed to function correctly as well and les swab wouldnt even touch it, only a dealer and 1500 dollars to fix. They refused to at least make it right on the tires, sorry buddy your on your own is there words, but wow im paying 300 a month for 36 months ok. Needless to say i gave them the vehicle back but it required me to put more money down in the tune of 1800 bucks A week later my first payment for the new car i got was due so already im into a car 2k dollars and they messed the contract up saying that i owe 280 dollars per month for 99 months on a 1996 muatang really? They never did fix this and i continued to make payments thinking they would soon. I was late on 1 payment 9 days and they left us stranded in klamath county. I had full coverage inaurance they tried saying my insurance wasnt good but i had just payed 243 dollars only 4 days prior to this, my insurance was late not canceled. I actually had nearly enough money to make my payment for the month, i was waiting for 1 transaction to post on my account and soon as i got to medford they were getting there stupid payment just like they always have. Guess what i actually never had a single problem being late, but 9 days late 1 time and they used gps tracking and tracked me down to take the car from me. These people are on crack seriously. Ive given them over 5k dollars and this is how they treat me. Today i noticed they have the car back on the lot for sale already, they never asked me once if i wanted to pay ? To get my car back not that i want to deal with these pieces of scum ever again, just another point you know. Its almost unbelivable..... Dont give them business they are taking up valuble real estate space that could be used for much better purposes, there sign should say we welcome new cuatomers we will screw you over after we get what we want and then resell the car. Only one star becuase I can't rate it less. This dealership totally took advantage of my daughter who is a 22 year old single mother and recently homeless. They repossessed her car one day after the payment was due even though she had called to make a payment arrangement to make the car payment in less than a week (which they agreed to). This is not the first bad encounter she has had with them in the short 2 months she owned the car. My husband had to go down there and speak with the parts manager, as they had sold the car to her in disrepair and without a spare tire (which I believe is illegal in Oregon). Now my daughter is without the truck she traded in (which she owed very little on), without a car. The manager would not even speak to her, but through a female employee told her if she wants her car back she needs to come down there with $14,000.00 within the next two weeks. I was very unfortunate to purchase a 2005 Kia Sorrento here in April 2014. I arrived at 10:00 am and finally left at 7:00 pm. I came from Redding to meet with George and the appt had been set for over two weeks to deal with this one salesman. During my time there I was stone walled in an office, outright lied to saying they could not pull up my credit report for some reason for almost two hours, several men it seemed were involved with two separate meetings in another room discussing my choice and transaction. George after that was no where to be found! I finally went back to find out why it was taking so long to draw up papers and then on top of that, the top guy, manager-owner, an older man is completely drunk trying to call me honey and assuring me I was given the best deal (29.99 apr). It was truly the most horrible experience ever with buying. I cannot in any integrity refer to these folks as Sales people. The vehicle unbeknownst to me had several issues within I month of being in hot Redding . I had to completely buy a new air conditioner, the interioror lights, still do not work, the driver side window does not go down, Three belts had to be replaced and I have been stranded several times within a year because of a dead battery which we still cannot figure out. I had several issues of UN- professionalism with the female owner in May 2015 when I went to pay the vehicle off in full over the phone. GET IT IN WRITING FROM THESE PEOPLE! I was told by "Kevin" that they would fix anything if they were told about it. When I told them about it, they said "tough luck".
