I was forced to come here to meet some friends. I think I would have liked to gone to Beachcomber instead but here we are. I ordered the crab sandwich It was pretty good but not much flavor It did come with lettuce tomato and onion and I also ordered extra tartar and red sauce. We ordered the broccoli cheddar soup and it was good. They ordered conch fritters and they were horrible do not get them they taste like nothing but flavored bread. The smoked white fish dip was good. There were eight of us. But the food came out pretty quickly. Our server was friendly and attentive. We set upstairs. Front parking and back parking dirt parking lot. Place to go if you're in a pinch and need a quick lunch.

The food was so good I first ordered shrimp salad bowl, but the shrimp is cold, so I switched it to fish platter. Best decision! The fish is basa fish, kind like catfish. I never heard of basa fish, never had it before, but it's so tender. Love it. I had two sides, broccoli and salad. Broccoli was over cooked to me, salad was good. Hubby had whaler sandwich with one side, onion rings. He was impressed with both, said it was the best onion rings and whaler sandwich he had ever had! The restaurant is old Florida style, not a fancy place. But we like the charms of this place. Lots of outdoor seating, perfect if you come with your fur baby. Oh, they even have doggy menu, how thoughtful! The service was good. We asked for a to go cup for unsweet tea, the waitress gave us a fresh cup! Oh, you pay less if you pay in cash!

Started our vacay with lunch at Oasis. Solid place with good food and great service from Nikki. Our choices ran the gamut. Kids had hot dogs and naked wings with french fries worth stealing from their plates. Fish dip came with tortilla chips and carrot sticks and was a nice serving size. Oysters are usually served after 4pm but on the weekends available after 11am luckily for us. We had the Oasis which were crispy and tasty and very fresh raw oysters. The blackened fish tacos were enough to share with the table. The crab Benedict was so good we ordered an extra crab cake. We sat upstairs surrounded by TVs that had every sport you could think of even ESPN20 showing a marble race!! Something for everyone. Oh, and the beer was cold and finished the meal with creamy key lime pie.

I liked this place a lot. It's a two floor local little dive bit with great lice music on the second floor , awesome food and drinks and the service was quick and easy! It's definitely a place to hang out for good food and drinks with friends and family !

We loved this bar. We were here on my Birthday and had a real good time winding down our night. The locals were so nice, as usual (very St. Augustine-good people). The bartender was friendly and quick even though it was a crowded Friday night. We did not have food, but the look and smell of the food sat near us for others was very tempting. We had several beers and a birthday shot made up by the bartender (Girl Scout Cookie). It was really good, and I loved spending the end of my birthday here. We will definitely be back on our next visit.

Shoutout to our local community heroes!!! Not only is the food amazing, but I feel in love with all the people- the owner Jan is such a sweet Spirit! I was blessed to meet her at her warehouse during the SUPER SCENIC 150 MILE GARAGE SALE event on 11/15/25. I bought so many treasures! The staff here at this venue was the most valuable treasure find!! Tom in his bright yellow t-shirt and even brighter happy Spirit welcomed us from the parking lot and showed us all the many seating options. There's a huge inside dining area, a counter top eating area, a huge sports bar seating area upstairs, and a huge outdoor seating area... dog friendly patio complete with water bowls. We enjoyed the perfect outdoor weather and sat in the warm sun. Nikki was tasked with keepin' us between the navigational lines here on our first visit. She is amazing, kind, personable, and genuine! She gave us TLC and made sure we had a wonderful experience. A cold Yuengling and a Guinness to wet whistle and cruise us into as we had a generous portion of golden brown conch fritters and a bowl of hearty clam chowder. Yumm! Then I had peel and eat shrimp! They were big and sweet! So Perfect that even Bubba Gump would have approved! I had a side of cheesy grits!! ProHubby had a blackened fish sandwich! It was masterfully prepared and so well balanced! We were so full, but Nikki was accommodating me with helping by not letting me pass -up taking a piece of homemade key lime pie! Which was a hit!! My husband is from Florida and this pie is legit! We were informed about the Saturday garage sale by the accountant. We also had a cool discussion with her about the upcoming Thanksgiving buffet. They have already had a lot of response and they are excited about this first time celebration with the community. This will definitely help with the need for this type of opportunity to gather. The next morning we camp for breakfast and the garage sale. Nikki told us that several breakfast/brunch items are available until 2pm almost every day. That is cool to have that option! This morning we were again greeted by the amazing Tom and since we brought our big cane corso we enjoyed the patio again. Tom gave her a dog treat and a water bowl. She loved it! We were taken care of by the Joelie. She was warm, happy, professional, and attentive. I of course had to order biscuits and gravy ... yummy biscuits and sausage gravy and I ordered a side of savory links! Hubby had awesome steak and eggs and grits!!! The were easily consumed!!! Generous portions! The coffee was great!! The even have a Dog Menu!!!! We ordered our Belle a beef patty and an extra biscuit!!! She made fast work of it and devoured it!!! Two paws up to the chef!!! I was able to get a good morning hug from Nikki who was busy inside with all her happy patrons!!! This is going to be a regular spot for us it appears! Tom even said, " We will see you again, right?" Yes, Tom, we look forward to our next visit :)

The World Famous Oasis is on A1A convenient for us. It claims to be a tiki Hut type restaurant but I didn't really see any tiki Hut.. hahaha. Anyway, there was clearly a lot of fish on the menu. They also have a breakfast menu. I had the whaler sandwich which had cheese and two types of peppers, sauce and lettuce. It was excellent. One of the best fish sandwiches I've ever had. I would come here again if I'm in the area.

Trivia, Great Food, Service at the World Famous Oasis. Tuesday...every other and every Thursday. Fun time

We always enjoyed the Oasis. Very casual and decent food, and young servers that try to please. This time, it was good again with adequate portions and nice choices on the beer. The big disappointment was the Chardonnay wine that I ordered. It was old, spoiled, and undrinkable. My partner tried it, and felt the same. Our waitress took it back, and brought another one and while it was a tad improved still undrinkable. The only time this happened before were Chardonnay discounted bottles at Walgreens, or a glass at a Chinese restaurant. Barefoot is a house Chardonnay to be considered. Open bottles should be refrigerated. Please check your house stock. Something went awry. On the positive side, no charge, and the Diet Pepsi was refreshing. This is one strike in 40 years.

Came here on a Saturday morning & service took two and a half hours (10:30-1pm), including 30 min to get our drinks and then another hour from ordering our food to getting it to our table, plus time waiting for our waiter to take our orders. There are signs saying "seat yourself" but not sure if that was actually true as we sat outside and after we didn't get served for 15 min, I asked the bartender who said to go inside to get on the waitlist, and then the host inside told me that the bartender was wrong and someone would come by our table. The outdoor patio area was fine with picnic tables and lots of games. We got a shaded area but there weren't a lot so be strategic when you come here and maybe prepare for both scenarios. I got a shrimp garden salad and it was exactly what you'd expect (not bad, not great). Probably won't come here next time I'm in the area. A little too chaotic for just a breakfast/lunch

For our visit this time they said about a 30 minute wait which was actually 20 minutes. The vibe of the place is very cool with the old jukebox and a bar as well as tables both inside and outside. We were seated outside this visit which was fine as it was shady. I had the corned beef has with hash browns and 2 sunny side eggs. The corned beef is full of shredded corned beef with just a small amount of potatoes. The hash browns with onions were nice and crispy as I asked and the eggs were cooked nicely with the right amount of run when broken. My wife has the Classic Breakfast which is somewhat similar to what I had but with no meat. Hers was done nicely too. Thanks for a nice visit and see you the next time we're back to St. Augustine Beach!

The bad: the food was ice cold, there doesn't seem to be air conditioning in the restaurant, and if you ask for scrambled eggs - you'll be served with egg beaters versus fresh eggs. The corned beef hash - not worth the $8 upcharge when it's cold and the fat has congealed

The inside is just as impressive with it's "oil and gas" theme, it's rather small but we were able to get seated without a wait even though it was nearly filled. The staff here was very inviting and attentive, the menu is also themed and fairly priced, we ordered "The Ford Galaxie" two eggs your way, a choice of meats, choice of toast or biscuits and home fries or grit - although the winner here in my opinion is the coffee it's delicious, strong and robust. Unfortunately everything here wasn't perfect the "West Creek Whipped Spread Butter Blend" is an abomination, it ruined everything we put it on, my bad for not asking for real butter after applying it to my toast, my grits and the English Muffin we ordered, it was inedible to the point we left everything on the plate this stuff touched it wasn't refrigerated as suggested on the label I'm guessing. I usually eat only real butter so what was I thinking - so my dilemma is how do I review this place fairly based on that stuff and the fact it ruined our food since we loved everything else. Well I guess they'll get three stars for now and I'll return and maybe bring my own butter because this place is a place you really want to love...

All of the names of the items have a car reference since the restaurant was previously a filling station. The decor also has a car ambiance. I chose the mustang burger. It had American cheese, bacon, bbq sauce and an onion ring on it. It was very tasty. Side options were fries, coleslaw, sweet potato fries or onion rings. I went with the onion rings. Portions on the burgers and the sides were very good.

She started us out with baked oysters and they were good, but it was too much bacon and cheese for me personally. It overwhelmed the oyster flavor, but if you're trying oysters for the first time or wanna please a picky group then these are good. My daughter got the stuffed flounder with corn casserole as we called it, as her side. It was delicious! Probably the best thing ordered! Tacos and kids grilled fish was great too! Definitely a solid amount of fish nuggets in the taco. The fries were some of the best ive ever had. For the seafood feast, we ordered scampi style and it was good, but it reminded me of a clam sauce style, not really buttery and garlicky. It was still good, but what disappointed me was the melted plastic bag served at the table. It was difficult to open, even our server had trouble opening. Idk why everyone loves serving food in plastic bags. It's sooo hot from the steam that plastic leaches into the food. I don't get the infatuation with this, unless you're ordering to go. The fans upstairs are a nice and necessary touch and not too hot up there, despite being summer in July. I would go back and order the stuffed flounder again! Seriously, that was the best thing we ordered. Ashley was johnny on the spot too!

My wife and I have visited The Ice Plant several times over the years, and it remains one of our…read morefavorite dining destinations in St. Augustine. The combination of imaginative cocktails, exceptional food, and a unique atmosphere makes every visit memorable. The cocktail program is outstanding. We enjoy trying a variety of their exotic and inventive drinks, and they never disappoint. The flavors are bold, creative, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical restaurant bar. The Yellow Submarine cocktail is quite possibly the best drink I have ever consumed. Made with curry-infused Bermuda black rum, lime, ginger, and Asian five-spice brown sugar syrup, it sounded unusual on paper but came together beautifully. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered four of them that evening, something I rarely do. That was three years ago, and despite returning several times since then, I have never seen it on the menu again. The food is equally impressive. Two years ago, I ordered the Skillet Roasted New York Strip served with Yukon Gold potato-anna, roasted asparagus and spring onions, watercress, and black truffle hollandaise. To this day, it remains one of the top five restaurant meals I have ever eaten. Every component on the plate was exceptional. The steak was perfectly prepared, the crispy potato galette was irresistible, and the black truffle hollandaise elevated the entire dish to another level. It was the kind of meal that stays with you long after the plate is cleared. I would gladly drive 300 miles just to eat it again. Most recently, I had the wild mushroom bisque, and it was the best soup I have ever consumed. Rich, creamy, buttery, intensely mushroomy, and perfectly balanced, it was everything a mushroom soup should be. The addition of crispy pickled onions and crème fraîche added texture and contrast that made an already outstanding soup even better. My wife and I enjoyed it so much that we returned the very next day hoping to order it again, only to discover it had already rotated off the menu. My only complaint about The Ice Plant is that some of their greatest creations seem to disappear as quickly as they arrive. While I appreciate the constantly evolving menu and understand that seasonal changes are part of what makes the restaurant special, there are certain items that deserve a permanent home. The Yellow Submarine cocktail, the wild mushroom bisque, and the Skillet Roasted New York Strip with black truffle hollandaise are three of the finest things I have experienced there. The fact that I can vividly remember one of these items from three years ago and another from two years ago says everything. Great restaurants serve good food. Truly special restaurants create dishes and drinks that stay with you for years. The Ice Plant has done that for me more than once, and that is why we continue to return whenever we visit St. Augustine.

Antique, rustic, comfortable, and full of enough character that you almost feel like you've stepped 200 years back in time. Then the drinks arrive, and suddenly you realize you've been transported into the future of cocktails. I wish I could remember the name of the drink I ordered because it was spectacular. Whiskey, a little sweetness, mint, and crushed ice. That's about all I can tell you. What I can tell you is that I could have happily consumed about 30 of them, tumbled down the stairs, and been perfectly happy about the whole experience. My wife went with the Mojito, and it was brilliantly constructed. The crushed ice and layered mint made it look almost too good to drink. Almost. The drinks absolutely deserve five stars. Then came the blue crab beignets, and they were spectacular. That's the kind of appetizer that makes you stop talking for a minute because everyone at the table is too busy enjoying what's happening. Unfortunately, the rest of the food didn't quite live up to the cocktails. The fish dip was very average and lacked much flavor, and the menu itself felt pretty limited. So here's the deal: if you're coming to The Ice Plant for drinks, I would have no problem giving it five stars. The cocktails are that good. This is a highly recommended stop for a drink in St. Augustine. But I have to review the entire experience, and the limited menu and average fish dip bring the overall experience down a notch. Four stars. Come for the drinks. Stay for the atmosphere. Definitely order the blue crab beignets. And if you happen to find yourself three cocktails deep, admiring the antique decor while contemplating the stairs, maybe just take your time.
