I went to world vision based on their Google reviews, and I must say that the service was amazing, professional, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable. Leslie went out of her way and took the time to make sure she has a satisfied customer. UPDATED REVIEW: Spoke with Taylor about my expensive prescription eyeglasses this date and was advised that the lifetime "scratch" warranty I purchased had expired in July. I advised that Charles - a now former store manager - told me the warranty was for as long as I owned the glasses. Taylor blurted out that the store was under new ownership and that Charles had "been fired for a reason." When I questioned that reason, she advised "I'm just the receptionist." I've always had a good experience with World of Vision, but with today's phone call, that history is now ruined. When I advised Taylor that I was unhappy about being sold a lifetime warranty that would not be honored and that I would update my review to reflect this experience, she told me "go ahead." At that point, I terminated the call. I'm not sure why the previous manager was fired, but I would never offer this information to customers. I walked out of LensCrafters which was across the street because they provided terrible service. When I contacted my insurance company, they advised that World of Vision which was right across the street, was on my plan. As soon as I walk into the store, I was provided excellent service. Within 15 minutes, I was able to select 2 pairs of glasses and was told that they would be ready in 5-7 days. Approximately, 10 business days later, I had not heard anything about my glasses so I called to check on the status. They said that they would have my salesperson call me back which never happened. I called the next day and the person on the phone told me they "should" be in next week. Far longer than the 5-7 days promised. I would not have purchased the glasses if I had known it was such a long wait. Yesterday Dec1 I got a call that my glasses were in . I ordered them on Nov. 15. When I went to pick up the glasses, again I received excellent service. If it weren't for the excessive delay and the failed follow up, this would have been a 5 star experience. I would definitely recommend this business and I will return when it's time for new glasses. read more

From the call to make an appointment to the day I walked out with my new glasses the level of kindness, sincerity and patience with their customer service, from every staff member, was above and beyond. The exam was thorough and very professional and everything was explained in detail. Nothing was rushed and my questions were answered clearly and with compassion. Little things are hard when your vision isn't right! I realize that everything has been difficult since Covid, but I'd been trying to make an appointment for an eye exam since I moved here four months ago. When my glasses finally broke, I walked into the first eyewear place I saw, World of Vision. I was frustrated and pretty blind! Not only did they repair my glasses on the spot, but I was able to get an exam, new prescription, and order eyewear. Five days later, I was wearing my new glasses! As soon as I walked in the door, I had been made to feel welcome. I experienced a level of customer service that has been hard to find of late. Seems a little silly, but they really restored my hope that life is returning to normal. read more

Amazing service!!! This guys are very professional and really know service.... I just got there because I was in Vero Beach for the weekend and my frame broke. They gave me an amazing explanation on the Lenses that I need and what a great selections frames. I was in love on everything. Finally I choose a frame and they show me all the options I can use with my lenses. Prices are very reasonable and by the way the repaired my broken frame at no charge. the initial exam was very brief. The bottom of my progressives were such that I could not read books or newspapers. I asked for the lenses to be redone, which they were. On site, I tried to read a flyer and could not. When I complained to the staff member, he said I ought to get used to holding the material differently. I asked to have the progressives checked for their positioning on my face...he refused. And I paid over $700 for the glasses PLUS for the eye exam. What kind of service is that? bonnie read more

Their website said that there was a eye-doctor on premises, but apparently that was left over from more than a year ago. I arrived, the friendly employee gestured toward the back of the room and told me that that the optometrist was meeting with another customer, and would be with me shortly, but they did not immediately tell me that the other customer was not onsite, and nor was the optometrist. They asked me to fill out a form with more personal medical information than I have ever given an optometrist, which is irritating, but not a deal-breaker. While I was filling out the form, they finally told me that the exam would be administered over the internet, which is irritating but not a deal-breaker. The appointment time came, and they asked me to pay in advance, which again, is irritating, but not a dealbreaker. The deal-breaker was that they had me wait more than fifteen minutes for the internet optometrist -- with no way of knowing how late the optometrist was and how many customers were ahead of me at how many different locations -- or even if the optimetrist was out to lunch or drunk on the floor. I asked for a refund, which took them about two minutes to process, but foolishly did not ask them to return the document with my personal information. The people on site were very courteous, helpful and very friendly -- as good as they could have been, given that the corporate business model is deceptive and unacceptable. read more

The manager of the store called me after this and assured me that my order would handled professionally. When I went in to get the glasses, all of the staff that I interacted with were polite and professional. They have instituted a system now where you can get your pupillary distance by signing a waiver of liability. That works for me, I have my PD, and I'd say World of Vision handled my issue in a friendly and professional manner, and now there is a policy in place that allows you to get your PD measurement after you sign the waiver. read more

The staff is truly amazing. Been going there for years. With that said I will never have my eyes examined there again. The equipment is so filthy. The forehead rest is caked with what seems to be makeup. I mentioned it but oh well it's getting old was the response. Love my new glasses read more

Bad experience. First they told me my insurance refused to pay for the eye exam but I can pay and get reimbursed. I agreed. Called my insurance and they told me that they should fax over the information and I will get my money back. That this should not have happened. Well months later when I asked the girl looked at me like I had 3 eyes and denied the whole thing. When I got my glasses they weren't right. I went back 3 times and they made new lenses. They are still not right. I will never go back there and am calling my insurance company to complain. read more

Nothing against hispanics but it is completely rude to sit in Spanish to one another giggling while their is multiple customers in the store and THEY SPEAK PERFECT ENGLISH!!! You would think that if you pay almost $600 for a pair of glasses you would have some kind of warranty.. well i accidentally broke one of the legs and I came to see if they could do anything and the only thing they did was offer me to pay jalf the price of the frame which was almost $200 . Never in my life have I ever been so dissapointed for something si simple. Went here for both myself and my grandson, the exam was virtually nonexistent but they assured me it was a full vision/optical exam. we did not get glasses right away as my grandson wanted to get contacts and he had to learn to put them in and take them out first. We went back less than two weeks later and had to pay for another eye exam to get new prescriptions !!?? WTH? but we were there and I just wanted to be done. My grandson got new glasses (couldn't do the contact thing) 3 days later the arm was loose so we went back and my grandson told them the arm was loose but he didn't think he did anything to cause it but his girlfriend did bump him in the head, they wanted me to pay for the repair! I refused said I would not pay and would go else where before I did, the gentleman said "goodbye". Why did I need to pay for warranty on the glasses, why did I have to pay for two vision exams in less than one month (actually less than 2 weeks) and then pay for a loose arm on the glasses... NOT! I got glasses and ordered contacts, they never called to tell me either were ready, I asked when I went back with my grandson and was told they were not in yet and then a week later I called and was told they had been there for more than a week and was reprimanded for not picking them up. Rude, condescending staff. Charging for two exams in less than two weeks is simply not reasonable and the reason I think they did it was my insurance had changed companies so they could dip twice! read more

Walked into the World of Vision on 21st street to ask about repair on glasses. It was 5 minutes before closing but Charles went out of his way to fix my husbands glasses. Stayed an extra 20 minutes . I have no idea where these one star reviews come from. I came in and my eye exam was conducted in ten minutes. I was asked to look around for frames and a wonderful woman picked Ray bans in 5 minutes after understanding what I wanted in glass frames. Usually lenses take at least one day for you to pick up. We called first to inquire and so we made the trip to the store to then find out they only had 1 pair of mens frames to choose from for this promotion! After having cataract surgery, I went to World of Vision. I asked if there were any discounts and was not told that Medicare would pay a portion of the frame. I found that out from a nearby eyeglass place. Now I am getting the "oh but" story; they don't cover a designer frame and I would have to charge you more for your lens now and on and on. What a wonderful experience! My wife's glasses, which she had purchased elsewhere, needed the temples adjusted and tightened. The optician where we normally go was closed. It was a Saturday afternoon. We chanced by World of Vision, saw that it was open and walked in. We were greeted immediately and asked how they could help. There were other customers in the store, but there were enough associates available so we did not have to wait. Charlie, the store manager, took care of my wife's glasses issues, quickly, courteously and professionally. As a result of this excellent service, we wil definitely go back to this World of Vision for our next eyewear needs. The worst eye provider I have been to ever for many reasons. 1) Eye exam lasted no more than 5 minutes with none of the extra tests performed (I.e. pupil dilation), field of vision, etc. 2) Even though they were a provider for my insurance company, they wouldn't sell the frames I wanted at the cost I was supposed to have based on my insurance benefits, but for as much money as they could squeeze out of me. 3). A general air of arrogance among everyone working there. 4) After having my over priced glasses for a short while, the designer's logo fell out of one of the ear pieces. They ordered a new one, and I never received a call that it came in. I finally called and they said they had lost it and had to order another one. Three weeks later, the next one comes in and they call and I go there to get it replaced. They never adjusted the ear piece after giving my glasses back to me and I had one ear piece that was molded for fit and the new one was perfectly straight. In addition, I noticed after the fact that the new ear piece was a different shade from the original one. And then I had to go back again to get the new ear piece fitted so it would match the fitting of the other. Do yourself a big favor and choose any other eye provider other than World of Vision. read more
