We've been owners for 33 years. And needed to come to Phoenix area for an extended two week day. This resort is not up to par with many of the others. First of all, it's not in the very best neighborhood unmarked business complex Overall, the grounds have great potential. However, it doesn't seem like they put much effort into the resort to freshen it up. Externally building seem kind of old and like it needs to be painted. A lot of of the lava rock in the beds are shifting and you can see the landscape fabric. There's a lot of dead Brush and trees. But I will say the pool area is very nice. There are too hot tubs and pool with grills around the area as well. Our room, well I think it still has a furniture from the 90s. Like I said we've been owners for a long time and this is the stuff that I remember when we first started visiting different resorts. Everything's a little bit worn. One of our dining room tables is wobbly. Paint is chipping and peeling, tiles are loose, grout in the corners and flooring seems to be missing. When we arrived, multiple outlets were not working, our phone was not working. The kitchen was dirty and the refrigerator still had crumbs and smudges from the prior renters. The bathroom I had a hair and thick conditioner that was stuck on the walls and hardened. They did come and clean, but they still miss stuff. So I had to do my own cleaning. There's no mop in the room. There are no mops anywhere in any of the rooms and every time I've gone to go get one, they don't have one. You have LVP flooring, world marked by Windom put freaking mops in the rooms. People are going to spill. This unit sleeps for, but we didn't have towels for four only for three. I don't think I would come back to this resort. Unless they do some renovation. They can't help the area, but they can help the grounds. You're near where the Dodgers place spring ball, near ASU, about 25 minutes from Scottsdale. They are hiking trails that surround the area. I don't know if the staff is great and helpful. But I asked for laundry detergent. No one brought it. I offered to go get it. They're like we'll bring it and it never happened. But I happen to see housekeeping across the way so I grabbed two from them. When I ask for information it's sort of nonchalant guest service. The travel and leisure education was misleading. They want to present like it's no pressure but they're giving you misinformation. And I called them out on it. But the "educator" said I just tell you what they tell me. Which to me was not a good answer like you need to understand what you're telling guest you cannot tell them that it's a free upgrade when you actually mean well the value you get from the benefit of upgrading is going to be like it is a free upgrade. It is not free And they try to argue that the benefits make it seem that way because there's all these other ways of using the credits and all these other perks. Which is fantastic, but I don't want to spend 30 grand to keep me at the same level. to the next level or 40-50k to get me to the next level. Even though if you have that available in your pocket, the number of credits are spent on this resort for two weeks would've gotten me about five weeks elsewhere. Anyways, don't lie that it's a "free upgrade" in January. Anyhow, if you have an option and you need to stay for a day or two this place will do, but if you really wanna enjoy a beautiful resort head to the Scottsdale location. read more

We typically like to stay at WorldMark's across the country but this one was mediocre. The apartment was ready to stay in but had some problems. The toilets easily clogged. We asked for towels ahead of time but we had to ask for the towels when we got here. The good things are the service was fast and available anytime. Today is our 5th day staying at WorldMark. I agree with Mylexus' reviews; the stay here has been lackluster, although, if you are staying at WorldMark from out of town/as a vacation, it is adequate. In our case this has been our home for the week. Unit: The unit is outdated. The carpets are in desperate need of a steaming, particularly on the stairs and in high traffic areas (living room). The smell in the unit is musky but you don't notice it as much once you've been inside. Small TV living room (32"?) connected to cable. Larger (40"?) TV in the bedrooms also connected to cable. DVDs available for rent from the concierge. There is a washing machine/dryer in the unit which is included, which is nice, and even a pack of detergent. Utensils, plates, cups, a few pots, a blender, full size fridge, and coffee maker were included. Dish soap and dish wash detergent but no sponge. Rooms were decently sized and the bed was not terrible. If you are looking to work from home there are no desks in the bedrooms but there is a dining area. Wi-Fi: Not included. Separate cost, which, you'd think for spending as much as you do on a timeshare, would be included. Rates are by day (1 day, 2 days, 10 days) and by devices (1, 2, 8). We paid $32/8 devices for 10 days. Parking: When I asked about getting a garage, I was informed only certain units are attached to a garage and ours was not one of them. I noticed when maintenance was circling the lot 3-4x that most of the garage units have been utilized for storage. An old oven sat outside one of the garages for several hours. There were enough open parking spots that we were able to park in. Location: I will say the location is conveniently and centrally located to Phoenix/Tempe. Arizona Mills is ~2 miles away and there's a Starbucks and Fry's close by. There are hiking trails outside of our room. Plenty of fast food nearby and restaurants. read more

I stayed here when I was in town to run the Rock n Roll Arizona Marathon. It was a smaller quiet property located just west of the 10 freeway. There was a bunch of road construction in the near vicinity leading up to the property, but it was still easy to find and did not detract from the vacation experience. The check-in process was nice and quick. In addition to room keys, I was given a garage opener. It was nice to park my car inside the garage which was attached to the unit. I found everything inside the unit to be clean and in good working condition. I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future. read more

It's in an odd location. They were crazy busy. But, I found myself able to relax in my room, at the pool, and sitting on our patio as the sun came up. Beware: late check-in was kind of a pain. But, we were using my parents time share that was gifted to us and seemed hard to understand for the folks in the lobby However, everyone was kind, fairly patient, and easy to work with for us. This timeshare experience was less than lackluster. The condition of the unit we stayed in was awful, visibly dirty, smashed bugs on the molding along the floor. And if you walked on the carpeted floor with socks for a few minute, your socks were black on the underside of them. Also, if you are able to get a garage with your unit, BE CAREFUL! We had a few scorpions, and when I saw a few I'd say 7-10 in the garage daily. What I can say is that the front desk people were polite, although the cleaning crew is NOT doing their job. *insert long dramatic sigh* One star for the customer service One star for the splash pad No stars for the cleanliness of this location. 1/10, I will not be back :/ read more

There are certain people you're glad you came across when you are out of town on a road trip in the midst of uncertain times and that would be Joann, the front desk lady who checked us in and Nicholas, the friendly and helpful concierge. Shout out to them both for welcoming us to Phoenix. The property was well kept and the suite was relaxing and well appointed. I love how you get your own garage with an automatic garage door opener. We enjoyed our 3 night stay. The first room we were given had no fixtures, it seemed as if it was in the middle of a remodel, so the kind front desk staff gave us another room. The room was great. Clean. HUGE. The pool area was the best part, 2 Pools, 2 Spas, and a Splash Zone. All of which are heated! Can't complain there. Only negative would be the location, we had a hard time finding it at night. The front sign, Wyndham, had no light feature. I would hope this facility would invest in some signage. Worst resort EVER! My wife and I and our three autistic children were on vacation this summer in Arizona with plans on going to the Grand Canyon we have purchased a GoPro 2 years prior to go to Hawaii and we're looking forward to some amazing pictures upon check out from Phoenix heading to Williams Arizona our GoPro was left behind in the nightstand by my wife we called within the 3 hours that The Innkeeper insurance policy requests for items left inside rooms Phoenix Police Department was contacted no GoPro turned up and I was told that if the police could not find the culprit that the insurance company would pay us for it the insurance company denied our claim we provided all proof of purchase serial numbers and receipts will never stay at that Resort again and will bash them every chance I get for their professionalism the right thing to do would have been to replace our unit even though their insurance company denied it the hotel should have replaced it read more

Beyond five star rating! Our family stays here a lot When our Daugther started college we had a great experience and have staying here since then. Recently In June we had an emergency in our room and my cousin had a heart attack. We have to thank the staff at south Mountain . Alexis manager of desk and her staff members alerted the paramedics and got them here fast. Our cousin is fine after this thank God. It took me a bit to write this review. But I want to thank South Mountain in Phoenix for all their help. With their assistance they helped to save my cousins life. Words cannot express our whole families thankfulness. It's not their best WorldMark. Barely any amenities. They charge for WiFi on top of their resort fees. There's two tiny pools and two Jacuzzi/spa. There's something. Their gym is tummy with one treadmill, elliptical, and some hand weights. They do have water for you for drinking. The kitchen is well stocked with almost everything you need. Overall very quiet. Clean. Loved the garage attached to the unit. Not sure how many points a night it is for a two bedroom two bathroom suite. It's a new addition to the Wyndham family.. much more improvement is needed. read more

The rooms here are awesome, We didnt had any charges for WiFi and the staff here is very friendly and helpful. The room we got they gave us has a Jacuzzi tub and I LOVE it! Will probably spend every night in it lol, The one thing though about Worldmark properties, you have to buy your own shampoo, unlike motels that give you a little bottle, but thats no big deal IMO, the kitchen is real nice, and it has a full size washer/dryer and on top of it, some units have their own garages another nice thing about this property! The only problem I found at this building, is some the electric sockets are lose, so I had to call front desk and they are sending someone to look/fix them (also didnt want to be blamed for it and charged lol, so let them know if there is any problems) read more

I've been a worldmark owner since 2000 and this is the 1st worldmark that did not meet the worldmark standard, the carpet was stained and dirty, that too me was not acceptable I'm used to something better, the furniture was very worn down. I did like the garage. The pools were nice too. Yes the tvs are small but I can over look that what I can't overlook is the carpet. read more

Bugs!!! Bugs!!! Bad!!! They tried to spray raid During my stay which meant I got a headache when I try to come back in the Room and it stunk so badd from all of the poisonous fumes. So then on my day to check out I requested a 5pm check out since my flight wasn't till later and I figured they would accommodate me since I had to deal with the bugs and they said no that they would charge my credit card on file. Worst service ever, dirtiest place ever! I have a video of the all scooped into a pile from me scooping off the floor. I had to keep shoes on insed for fear of the crunch under my feet. read more

Big fat Zero! We are visiting friends from out of town and they were nice enough to put us up in their time share. The unit is spacious, the bed is comfy, and the kitchen is nice.... But the people element is an epic fail. During the first 24 hours we were solicited for a time share presentation 3 times (mind you, these guys were very pushy). We finally accepted and got up early on our Saturday morning for a "breakfast" and their presentation. When we arrived, no one was in the office to meet us. After waiting for 10-15 minutes, an "associate" came in and attempted to find our paperwork. She was unable to find our paperwork and said she wasn't authorized to fill it out again. Oh... But we can get up early again tomorrow and come back then. WTH!!!?? So let's get this right.... You ask us, 3 times to attend this meeting. We show up ( foregoing sleeping in on a Saturday ) only to be denied breakfast that you promised us, a refusal to fill out paperwork again, and an empty offer to "come back tomorrow" should you have your act together then. No thanks! You wasted enough of our time. read more

I like almost everything about this world mark location. However this is my first time visiting with a little one and it has brought to my attention how terribly dirty the carpeted floors are. My daughter got a rash on her legs and arms. We are not completely sure if it's the floors but take a look at the pic I'm posting. We Highly recommend this hotel! We stayed here two nights with our kids and we were very impressed. The highlight of our stay was how clean our rooms were! Nice resort for a purchased resort. Friendly staff and very nice to have a garage in the hot weather. I rank that all 4 stars! BUT..... I do have a complaint. I was convinced to attend a owner's update meeting. I agreed to for 2,000 world mark credits and I Made it CLEAR that my wife was not traveling with me. I went to the meeting and sat through it. I was given my two 1,000 credit vouchers and told the credits would be in my account within 2-3 weeks. Credits never came. I called after a month and was told they are behind. After two months of waiting I was told we were disqualified because my wife was not there. WHAT? Looks like I was lied to. Don't trust the people there they are liars. Wyndham cannot be trusted. So glad I didn't purchase credits from them. My advice is to treasure your vacation time and skip the owners update at this resort. You will be disappointed. read more

Stayed here 3 years ago it was great now This place is absolutely horrible the ladies up front are rude not friendly at all! dont you know u are the face of the business it would be in ur best interest to be polite and accommodating was charged an extra night when I didn't even confirm with the lady that I would be extending my stay called plenty of times to talk to there manager which was conveniently unavailable all 5 times i had tried getting ahold of her and when I did leave a message she NEVER returned my call! Horrible customer service and care..They all act like they could give two shits about their clients.. I had called to resolve the issue several times eventually filed a claim with the bank I have been a comfort in loyalty customer forever I will never be staying at this location again!! read more

First off, i did not personally stay here. My family that was visiting from NY stayed here for a week in April. They had a 2 br apartment. Equipped with everything you would need. Great size, spacious. Loved the master bath. Pool was good enough for the kids but nothing fancy. read more

I liked this place. We stayed in a 1 bedroom and I liked that there was a garage to this unit. Place was fairly clean and very spacious. Washer and dryer located in the garage. Only thing is there were a good amount of ants in the living room and to my child that was just unacceptable. LOL! All in all, a good stay. Would recommend it. read more

This is one of the better properties we've stayed at. This is a prime location if you're one who enjoys hiking or being outdoors. We were thankful for the garage, as we brought so much on our trip. Room is equipped with what you would expect from a WorldMark property. Pool is small, but nice. Would stay at this property again (and perhaps get an upstairs apartment instead. Stayed here twice for a total of 11 days. Stayed in a 2 bedroom the first time & it was very very nice. Had a in room jacuzzi and a large walk in shower. Very clean. This last time stayed in a one bedroom. Room was right next to the pool & had its own garage. Wasn't quite as nice as the 2 bedroom but was still very nice. Staff goes out of their way to make everything right. Groundskeepers take pride in making everything look right. Super peaceful there...right next to some awesome walking trails...perfect for getting some exercise in or just taking cool pictures...but still 15 minutes from the airport & about anything else a person would want to do. I've stayed at 5-6 different Worldmarks & the 2 bedroom is right up there with Seaside for being the nicest. We go there every March & we plan on keep going. read more

I am used to world mark being in an least slightly picturesque location. This is shoved behind some office buildings with a view of some brown hills. The unit itself was filthy dirty when we arrived. The sheets had some unidentified crusty stuff stuck to them and they smelled funky. The carpet is so gross that my son's feet turned black just from being barefoot for an evening. And the floors are so paper thin that even when my tiny two year old walks, everything shakes. I feel bad for people downstairs. I am sad that this kind of place has world mark's name on it. We have been with Hilton Grand Vacations for twenty years and we often trade through RCI for other timeshare properties. Our greeting at the front desk did not go well. Jennifer, the manager was way too aggressive. Norma was our check-in and she was pleasant. She was in process of moving us closer to the pool when Jennifer intervened loudly stating, "that's where we put non-Worldmark owners." We were also charged for the daily Internet and were denied a garage. I called RCI and they were disappointed with this property. They explained that this property is on the bottom tier as a Standard level. I normally get Gold or Silver Crown but there is a dearth of good timeshares in PHX. Our unit backed up to South Mountain and there's plenty to see at dawn and dusk. Everything was operational, the TVs are tiny and SD. The kitchen is fully equipped, but the unit is very plain. When you walk in the front door there's an ugly view of wires and cables and missing furniture. This unit is quiet and easily accessible. There are no reading or ceiling lights in the main room, just a tiny table lamp. The appliances are standard. read more

Nice location. Had a blast everyday at the pool with my kiddos. Loved they had a garage! Staff was friendly. BUT...our room was filthy. The carpet turned your feet black after a couple steps walking around. The furniture obviously hasn't been cleaned in a few years. The mirror in the bathroom was dirty and dust had accumulated on half the wall over the vanity. There was birthday cake crumbs underneath one of the beds and the shower drain needed to be cleaned out. Maybe we just had a really bad room?! My sisters room was pretty nice. read more

Interesting diversity of comments. This was a great stay and except for the undersized exercise room, I mean "wait" room, was everything I would expect from Worldmark. Folks need to understand that each Worldmark location has its context and operational constraints.I visited during a 105 - 110 degree heat stretch and enjoyed every minute of the sun and cool down mini water park. Folks you are next to a natural preserve area so you might get a critter or two working it's way near by. If you live in the woods do you get raccoons or deer in your backyard? Indeed. At home, if you live in the northwest, we typically take our shoes off before coming into the house to keep the mud out, if you live at the beach, you may do the same to keep the sand out. Well in phoenix at 100 degrees, don't you realize you are walking on pavement and asphalt that is sticking to your shoes. Would you bring that into your house? Once the owners really take ownership of their properties in context of the situation it's better for all of us. I don't want to pay 3 -4 times for carpet cleaning expense because owners don't carry situational awareness. They may be going to tile soon to help resolve. We stayed 2 nights and had a great experience with staff. Sure you are on a vacation and don't want a little marketing but it comes with the territory. You might get a staff that is in transition for jobs or they could have an off-day too. World Mark Phoenix staff gave me the most informative owner seminar I have had since becoming a member in 2007. Just take control of your situation and drive as an owner. As always, you get out what you put in. Not picturesque? try getting out if you can and walk some of the trails that locals from miles around drive to and ride bikes and go on evening walks daily. Personally, my wife and I renewed our 25 year anniversary there watching a beautiful sunrise from one of the nearby peaks as we look forward to the next 25 years of sunrises! Only downside was that there had been water damage at some point in the ceiling in the living room and the ceiling had not repaired, so it looked a little neglected. Terrible and dirty place to stay. The carpet is stained and sticky in places. Woke up one morning to find a scorpion in the kitchen..That was a surprise From the beginning I was informed at check in of a "Resort Fee" and when I asked what does that cover I was told well, housekeeping and FREE Internet.. Really Internet? 99% of hotels give you Internet And housekeeping never showed. Good luck getting your resort fee back.. Once into the unit, after trying to find a place to park, It was nasty. The master bathroom, sinks drain extremely slow and the master shower drain was so full of hair it made me sick. The shower head comes strait down from the ceiling which was chipped and gouged. And no shampoo or conditioner. Who does that? Bed sheets didn't look fresh. I used the 2nd bathroom and bedroom. Both bathroom walls were dirty. All the knives and plates at cups are old, chipped and not 100% clean and partial sets. Looks like a yard sale supplied this. Location is horrible unless you like being bored. Ok they have a couple of pools, but that's it and they are crowded with kids. No place to eat, no little market, no nothing. You have to drive everywhere for everything. Everything about this place was dirty and disgusting all over. If I hadnt gone thru a 3rd party to book this place (paid in advanced) I would of asked for a refund, canceled and left. There are better place near by and better pricing that are CLEAN. I would never stay here again and I have to ask, WHY would anyone buy into this time share. Shame on management for maintaining or non-mainlining this facility. Nasty Nasty read more

Have stayed here several times. Pool area is a little small. Staff is always friendly. Units are spacious and private overlooking the South Mountain Reserve. Lots of hiking trails next door to the condos. Linens and toiletries have been upgraded and are very nice. read more
