They got it done in a couple hours that same day and after a couple weeks on the road I'm glad to say my car is doing well after getting my catalytic converter replaced and getting a cage installed. We all know car mechanics are crookeder than a barrel of snakes....but honestly... I have NOT had this experience at Santa Monica Electric. Sure they are located NoooO where near Santa Monica, lol! But that doesn't mean they serve up crappy service. The staff is solid and know what they are doing! The adorable electrician with the iceberg white hair reminds me of Poppa Smurf and is genuinely the sweetest of guys. Not to mention he is very knowledgeable and personally hooked up a relay system that took care of my over heating problems over night! They have truly been there for me when I have car trouble. And on each occasion, they explained WHAT the problem was in plain English... and it was my decision to have them Fix it or not ...and for a FAIR price. They don't pop up with "hidden cost" and have gotten my permission before they did any unforeseen repairs in the past. I love my car that has a newer 3 year old paint job. I'll tell you that my car has never been returned to me with a new scratch and I check whenever I get my car back from any shop. Most importantly, these guys are willing to troubleshoot and fabricate some pretty cool electrical "tricks" to get you fixed that a dealership wouldn't have the balls to even attempt! Waiting around the shop I have met SEVERAL people who drive as far as Riverside for them to fix an electrical problem. That alone proves a lot to me. So far, I'm a BIG FAN of Santa Monica Electric. Plus... I must admit I've always had a crush on the Real Poppa Smurf! ;)
