I am a first time customer with Worldwide Cyclery and purchased two bearing extractors (November 2024). A while back, I discovered some of their maintenance related videos and was quite impressed. THE best online bike store, period. Chatted these chaps up and got my order right the first time. Sure, you can probably find your parts a buck or two cheaper on Amazon but how many times are you going to drop your returns off at Kohl's because you bought the wrong thing? Gas is expensive these days! And no, I don't support my LBS because my LBS doesn't support me - plain and simple. I suggest you do the same because that 35% markup they're making on you isn't worth the free coffee and doughnuts they bait you in with. WWC drops the knowledge and has the parts in stock and ready to go. Heck, I'd be surprised if your local bike shop DIDN'T "special order" your part(s) from WWC then tack on a fat margin! You know I'm right... And the cherry on top - if you don't know how to maintain your steed, chances are WWC has a YouTube video showing you how to do it yourself. Stay away from this shop unless you are fine waiting a week for shipment or they happen to be the only retailer with the part. Placed order on July 14th. Got a shipping notification on the 16th. It is now the 20th and the order still did not actually ship. Was able to cancel the order and get a refund most likely because it wasn't even going to be shipped today. Printing a shipping label and not shipping the package for days does not actually count as shipped to the consumer. Your team is simply gaming the system so when management looks at the shipping analytics they see that orders are being fulfilled quickly. read more

I purchased a SRAM axs rockshox dropper on Black Friday. Went thru checkout paid. Said would ship via 2 day shipping in 0-3 days. 3rd day no comms and not shipped. I reached out and was told they cant ship batteries via 2 day (even though i literally just ordered the groupset (axs) the day before and it shipped 2 day) and then was told that they cant ship till the following Friday. I asked why and still have not gotten a response. Looking at 2 weeks for shipping when they have the part in stock. I reached back out and asked if they could please expedite shipping per original order as i have another vendor that i can get it from as i need it by Friday for a trip. Was told no they can not. Sorry terrible customer service. No comms at all why my order was delayed. I had to reach out and still have not gotten a clear response why. I canceled the order and will no longer do business with worldwide. Just my experience but this is silly and no reason why they would not ship be the part expedited or why it wouldn't ship till the following Friday. Just nope ok we will cancel. Lost a customer. I may not live near this awesome bike shop but if I did this would be my "go to" bike shop. Unfortunately, I live on the other side of the US. I've ordered several products and had a few conversations with them via phone and email and they have been absolutely terrific. They are run by people who love bikes and ride themselves. The company owner, I learned was a UCI pro downhill racer. My point is: they get it. They honestly get it. Shipping is super fast and it makes me feel like I ordered something with Amazon Prime. Remember I live on the east coast which typically takes about 4-6 days. On top of that they don't charge shipping anywhere in the US! If you asked me how could they get any better? It's not the cheapest place where you can buy MTB gear, but I like to support local businesses rather than big retailers. Plus, I value the education they provide with their youtube channel. If the price difference is not too big, I will order from WWC for those reasons. The main reason why I took off one star is because of their website. I wish WWC would allow people to review items since it is always nice to read what other customers have to say about an item. I also wish I could refine their filters more. For instance, when I am looking for new tires, I would like to narrow it down to 27.5 or 29er. If they added those improvements to their website, I definitely would give it 5 stars. read more
