To all this may concern, I would like to congratulate the folks at Worldwide Cyclery on having such a knowledgeable, professional, respectful member of their team as Easton is. I am in the process of repairing / upgrading my Gary Fisher Joshua F3 mtb. While attempting to locate a Rockshox rear shock, I kept hitting brick walls. After countless emails, phone calls, etc. local and long distance, the responses were all the same, " sorry sir, but you are either going to have to make do with what you've got, or, buy a new bike." I even called Rockshox directly with the same results. Needless to say, my frustration levels were extremely high. Then I saw Worldwide Cyclery's website and they kept saying throughout their site to call them with any questions or problems, so, I did just that. To my utter amazement, Easton not only answered any and all of my questions, he provided me with two different options that would not only replace, but, upgrade my rear shock to modern day technology / specs. He spoke with the confidence and knowledge that only a more experienced mountain biker than I would have. He was polite, respectful, patient, and understanding, without being condescending. He provided pertinent, first hand information on the products I was considering, as he had working knowledge of their use. His competence and mannerisms were refreshing and appreciated. Not only has he restored my faith in humanity, but has set a level of service few if any could even come close to matching. I did contact mngmnt. to express my complete satisfaction and appreciation for him and the help he provided me. I believe I even suggested he was due an increase in pay, as well as several paid days off! From here on out, for as long as I live, or as long as these folks are in business, I will satisfy my bicycle needs and desires only with them. So, in conclusion, I recommend them to one and all for most anything bicycle or bicycle related. You simply can't go wrong, and I truly believe that complete satisfaction is the bare minimum to be expected. Let me just start by saying stop thinking about buying from these guys and just do it. I placed an order with these guys through Amazon for some crank boot protectors, and received my shopping info and confirmation quickly. A couple days go by and I check the USPS website and see that my order was delivered. When I get to the mailbox nothings there... My mail was stolen. So I sent these guys an email and had a ridiculously quick response. Like they were just refreshing their inbox every two seconds waiting to help a customer in need. With that kind of response time I was not surprised when I opened the email to find that they were going to take care of it even though they had done their part in shipping the original parts. I have purchased multiple items from these guys, and have been very happy with both the speed of delivery and the products themselves. I also purchased a wrench from them that was the wrong size, and was able to return it with no questions asked. They processed the refund very quickly. A+ vendor. I only wish that they carried Speedplay products, which they do not. But they are a trustworthy vendor to buy stuff from, and they stock a good deal of Park Tool products in particular that you can not find at most other shops or online sellers. Great selection and excellent prices. Worldwide Cyclery had the shock I was looking for and it was cheaper than any other place I could find by over $100. Then, they gave me a 10% coupon which made it an even sweeter deal. I have used them a couple times now and they are quickly becoming my goto source for Mountain Bike parts. I would be cool if they offered 2-day shipping on orders over $50, like some of their competitors. purchased a used bike from them and was expecting it to be in excellent condition given that it is coming from a bike shop but to my surprise it was the opposite. The locking nut would not screw and there was a small scratch. at least that's what they said so they wanted to offer me a store credit and a restocking fee, but wouldn't refund my money. The store itself is beautiful, well-stocked, and had everything we needed. They had the bike my wife wanted, although it still needed to be assembled, and she also picked up some accessories and clothing for her new bike. Danny even offered to have the bike delivered, but I decided to purchase a Kuat rack, which they also carried and helped build out for me. By Monday afternoon, everything was ready, and my wife could not have been happier with her choice. On pickup day, I also met Paul, who assisted Danny, and he was a pleasure to work with as well. We were able to get in a light 10-mile ride, and they truly made my wife's weekend. I can't recommend Trek Westlake Village enough. And I've been jonesing for the Fox 40 Year Limited Edition gear ever since I saw it. Just perfect for the vintage crowd. Every year, my wife and I usually pick out our own gifts and then give them to each other to wrap, put under the tree, etc. That way we both get exactly what we want. So, I ordered the gear from BTO for my 'present' this year. It was getting hard to find and it was clear it wouldn't be long before it would be unobtainable. I also optioned to have them letter the jersey for me. All set. Just waiting. Well, the next day I received a confirmation email from them including the phrase "please review the attached order confirmation and let us know ASAP if anything is wrong.". Well, I check it out and, WAIT, they have my number wrong. They had 77 and I'm 177. I go back and look at the order form on their site and it says '177'. So somewhere between 'Submit' and sending the print job out someone dropped a digit. I immediately called them. I told the guy that answered what the deal was. He was cool and assured me it hadn't been printed yet and that he would take care of it. WHEW. Disaster averted. A week later I get a UPS shipment notification. Perfect. Eager anticipation. Shortly after that (within minutes) I get an email from Eric Wolf at BTO. Basically to the effect of, "We just realized that your jersey was printed with the wrong number. And that was the last 40 Year LE we had in that size. Really sorry. Don't know what you want us to do. We'll be happy to refund your money.". Well, I did kind of lose it. After all, I had called and been assured the typo would be fixed. And now I was basically back to square one with time running out (this was on the 10th). So I replied with, ummm, well, long story short, "You did WHAT? WTF? After I called to make sure it would be right? You screwed it up. I expect you make it right." Included some links to competitors that showed they still had some in stock in different places. (I didn't cuss em out too much.) I half expected a fight or upturned palms and a shoulder shrug. THey were not going to make their margin on this deal. A lot of people will simply bail and cut their losses. Surprise! Eric replied that he understood perfectly. He asked for some time to try to line something up with his Fox rep. Well, guess what I got today? The right jersey PLUS a bunch of BTO swag! (Pics in next post from my phone) Awesomeness. Can't thank Eric or BTO enough for making it right! And whoever else that helped. Those guys rock. Straight up! Recommended.
