After speaking with Holly Hicks (owner) and the rest f the staff it was clear that they were in this for the animals and truly cared about finding them loving homes. I filled out an adoption form and called Holly shortly thereafter. While she is not located in Midland, NC, she often meets there as she works closely with McCoy Feed & Supply http://www.mccoyfeed.net/ ( hence the address is McCoys) The adoption was $250 and includes her first shots, micro-chip, and spay when she is older (voucher). I also was given a huge bag of food, some de-wormer, and some special treats from McCoys. You walk in and the lobby is huge, everything looks so clean and professional, no foul odors. But what really grabbed my attention was the staff. There is a LOT of them, not one or two teenagers looking after a bunch of dogs. Having never boarded there before, we were nervous, so we asked if we could see the back where they stayed - no problem! Without a moment's hesitation, they led us back. Again, I was impressed. No cages, smells and barking dogs but actual rooms, spacious rooms with doors. Cots in each room for the dogs to lay on. A nice lady stood there with us and explained everything. It is truly a "resort" for dogs. The last place we left them, we were not allowed to see the back. And when we picked them up, we had to ride back with the windows down, they stunk so much. We had to bathe them as soon as we got home. NOT HERE! Our dogs smelled as good when we picked them up as before we dropped them off. In addition, they upload videos on their Facebook page every day and you can see your dogs having the time of their lives, reducing OUR anxiety. The difference between Natural Breed Kennels Resort and the last place we boarded them is as different as night and day! But here's the kicker - pricing is about the same! Very reasonable for the extreme care they take of your fur babies. We have found a new boarder and we couldn't be more pleased. No worries at all about leaving your babies here!

Found out from others who took their dog there that they had the same experience, their dog getting sick or even worse. I was also told from people who did work there that the grounds were always very wet and the dogs were playing in that wet mess. I always thought it strange that they would never allow me to go out into the play areas and look around. Should have set bells off!!! Do not take your babies here!! Find you a place that has complete transparency and lets you visit all areas of the facility!! They are out there and close by!

This happened in early February, and it has taken me months to write this review because I was so…read moredevastated by what happened. Losing my cat was incredibly painful, and it took time before I could put this experience into words. First, I'd like to say that the front desk staff was always kind and courteous. Unfortunately, my experience with the veterinary care was the complete opposite. I brought my 6-year-old cat in three times over the course of three weeks for an inflamed toe bean. Each visit resulted in a full exam charge, yet no diagnostic testing was performed beyond scheduling an X-ray, which only confirmed the inflammation and did not identify the underlying cause. The veterinarian was aware that my cat had lost a significant amount of weight, wasn't eating, wasn't drinking, and wasn't playing anymore--yet she did not perform any blood analysis or adjust her care plan to include this. After my third visit, the veterinarian gave my cat a steroid injection and sent her home. At that appointment, the veterinarian asked me to call her on Tuesday with an update, and she said if the inflammation had not improved or had worsened, she would see my cat the following day. When I called on that Tuesday, my cat's condition had worsened significantly. Instead of keeping her promise, I was told the earliest appointment would be the following week. That was incredibly frustrating. I actually posted a review about this experience a week ago, but it was deleted on google. I feel it's important to share what happened. After that call, I immediately took my cat to an emergency animal hospital. With a simple blood test, they diagnosed her with terminal cancer that had manifested in her toe bean--a condition the emergency veterinarian explained, while rare, is known in cats. I was also told she likely had no more than 30 days to live. Our pets are family, and every day matters when they are seriously ill. Looking back, I feel my concerns were dismissed, the warning signs were all ignored, and the proper diagnostics were never pursued. I also found the veterinarian to be dismissive and lacking compassion during an incredibly difficult time. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this clinic for sick animals, especially cats. I sincerely hope no one else has to endure the heartbreak my cat and I went through.

Today, my mom faced the heartbreaking decision to put our beloved 14-year-old Boston Terrier to sleep. When she called yesterday to request an emergency appointment, she was told the earliest available slot was three days away and advised to take him to the Kannapolis emergency vet in the meantime--and then told not to call back. There was no urgency, no compassion--just complete disregard for the situation. As his condition worsened, I called again this morning on my mom's behalf, hoping to secure an earlier appointment. After requesting an emergency visit, the woman at the front desk coldly asked, "Who is this for?"--as if she was deciding which pets were worth seeing. In that moment, it felt like they had completely turned their backs on us when we needed them most. When I pressed for an earlier appointment, she rudely stated they had openings between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m., but it was first come, first served--offering no guarantee of care. I explained our circumstances, hoping for at least some understand or compassion, but all I received was indifference. No sympathy, no effort to accommodate--just a dismissive attitude that made it clear my dog's life didn't matter to them. After years of loyalty to this clinic, it was devastating to realize that when it truly counted, they simply did not care. Let me be clear: you will receive no empathy from this staff. What should have been a moment of kindness and care was instead made even more painful by their unprofessionalism and coldness. There was no warmth, no reassurance--just a rushed, impersonal process that left us feeling like an inconvenience. That's why we took him elsewhere, where he was treated with the dignity and compassion he deserved in his final moments. We are heartbroken, and instead of support during one of the hardest moments a pet owner can face, we were met with indifference. It is beyond disappointing to see what this clinic has become--and even more unacceptable that Dr. Barker has allowed such awful behavior to continue for years. We had recently gone to them once again for urinary/stomach issues, a bump on his back, & a few other concerns. Weeks later he only got worse, I knew it was time to try a new vet. I looked up "natural vet" & whole pet called me back almost immediately. They took me in the next day !!! The vet & techs/assistants were absolutely amazing. They made sure he was not only comfortable BUT ALSO happy & calm. He got his choice of cat nip, treats, & even cat sushi. He got pets when he wanted them & definitely enjoyed his experience, what more could a cat want? He loved his visit. Pluto hated his other vet, they could not even touch him without him wanting out. After a very chill but thorough exam, the vet explained the following steps & all our options.
