What an appropriately named eatery! The Bao is very good, one might argue they are worthy of a "wow." The rice bowl, though, was worse than those served at mall food courts. I tried a Spicy Mongolian Beef Bao, a BBQ Pork Bao, and an Orange Chicken Bowl with Fried Rice. Both Baos were great! The steamed buns were cooked (steamed?) perfectly, with a soft and pillow consistency. The fillings didn't skimp on the protein, and were tender and flavorful. The Spicy Mongolian Beef, especially, had some noticeable heat. They did this without being a sauce-grenade. The Chicken and Fried Rice bowl might as well have been from a microwave. While I would understand if ingredients were scooped and ladled from a pan, these tasted reheated. The chicken had no crispness at all, and the rice felt mushy and overdone. The sauce, meanwhile, did little except giving sweetness and moisture. The service was reasonably fast for a fast casual spot that is starting to make pickup orders for the lunch rush. Final verdict: A great place to get some Bao buns, and thus makes for a fantastic, not-massive lunch. However, the bowls leave much to be desired. The Basics: Wow Bao is a fast-food style bao restaurant. The menu features many different kinds of bao (including dessert bao) and some other dishes as well. Things I like: The bao was certainly not perfect, but overall I like the concept and enjoyed the bao. I tried a bunch of different kinds, but my favorites were the Spicy Mongolian Beef and the Coconut Custard. I also really enjoyed a seasonal Apple Pie flavor that I tried. The potstickers are also worth a try. Things I didn't like: At times the bao were not fully cooked. The dough was raw and not solidified on some bao I tried. Also, some of the bao flavors were pretty bland. I tended to enjoy the spicy flavors more due to the added flavor. Additionally, I did not enjoy the fried rice. The service is good. They are kind and wonderful people there. The only reason this place isn't just one star. Now everything else, simply awful. The bowl, which for like $11, is barely a meal. There is both too much of the base and not enough of it. However, what's really lacking is any of the protein added. I got the chicken to my bowl and was horrified that it's practically barely any ground chicken with the sauce added. The worst thing was the ice Thai tea that I got. The tapioca pearls tasted like they were barely cooked. The drink itself tasted like they added almost, if not, expired milk to it. It was undrinkable honestly. The bao I got was fine. It's been years since I've stopped by Wow Bow. The name is still cute ad descriptive. I applaud the team at Lettuce Entertain You for clever takes on a variety of cuisines. My go to order of potstickers and spicy peanut noodles remains consistent Noodles ha a nice pure, peanut sauce is mildly spice and good. The potstickers are potstickers My gripes are with ordering from the kiosk. Unlike ordering on a McDonalds app the kiosk did not realize I was actually ordering a noodle and potsticker combo. The menu price is $9.99 but the desperate cost I was charged was 11.28, a $1.29 difference. I recently stopped at McDonalds and some of the sane comments I gad about their app also apply here. I think ordering from a Kiosk should be easier and faster than ordering at the counter. With the size of the kiosk screen I am not sure why the menu is not displayed for you to quickly choose. Instead you need to pick a category and then find your meal. I am a Lettuce Eats member and I could not find how to add my points to the Oder in the app. Other than my complaints about the app I enjoyed the food and the restaurant so I gave it a 5 rating. The chicken portion was about 2 tablespoons. Quite disappointing... The only good thing were the Bao Buns. It was still pricey though. $23.95 for 6 medium sized buns. If you are needing timely food delivery that is easy, fast, affordable and with a responsive restaurant it is Wow Bao. The spicy peanut noodle salad is perfect especially if you want a light dish that still has flavor and is filling- great peanut sauce (not very spicy, there could be more kick) that has layers of flavor within it. The noodles of the spicy peanut noodle salad are firm and not soft. The noodle dumpling soup comes in a portion that is ideal for one person. The noodle dumpling soup is bland, the dumplings are quite large and underwhelming especially if you order the green vegetable dumplings. I wish there was more depth to the broth and flavors. I added hot sauce to the soup to try to spice things up. You definitely don't need hot sauce for the spicy peanut noodle salad because even though it isn't spicy the peanut sauce is mmmmm so good. read more

As far as airport food goes, this is pretty decent! I'm not super familiar with this type of food, but the restaurant smelt so good I had to try it. I ordered the spicy kung poa chicken bowl & 3 dumpling meal. It comes in a to-go plastic container with a lot of white rice and a big portion of the meat choice. I liked the chicken a lot and the spice/flavor was definitely there! The rice was not seasoned, but the chicken on top made it blend really well. The dumplings were my favorite part. I got the chicken dumplings and they were nice and warm with a flavorful filling. As any airport goes, the prices are obviously higher. I'd eat here again for sure. read more

Hands down the coolest and most jaw-dropping restaurant I've ever been to. From our intrigue to the restaurant from seeing it outside to finishing our meal, the whole experience was amazing. When you first come in, it's pretty bare. There's just one server there (to explain how the process works) and a whole bunch of touch screen devices. It's pretty future-esque. After my party and I asked the server for recommendations, we waited for our order. It was so cool (as you see I can't stop saying that). There were little animations on the screens and then BAM! You saw your name! And then the screen lifted and then BAM! Your food was right there waiting for you to pick it up. I'm generally a dramatic person, but that warranted all my dramatics. I screamed so loud haha And not only was the experience great, but the steamed dumplings were also very delicious. The meat was tender and well-seasoned. The wrapping was steamed to perfection. You can comfortably skip both of these, lo mein was just boiled noodles with zero seasoning and orange sauce was sweet with no flavor. Fried rice was also not good.
